    No new information

by MacMorg on 6/20/17The Belasco Theater - Los Angeles

I have read the blog, I have listened to all the podcasts, I have heard them on other peoples podcasts (10% Happier for example) and the first hour of this event was a repeat of exactly what I have heard many, many times before. I can practically tell you their whole story. Anyway, then they had Rob Bell on stage with them and quite honestly I don't know why. While he is an interesting person, he didn't speak about minimalism. And while I am not a conservative or a Trump supporter, I have friends who are and who were at the show, and he was highly offensive to them. Not sure if my friend just has to suck it up because she lives in LA-but she didn't have fun. We left early. Not what I was expecting. Luckily the tickets were cheap.

The Minimalist: Less Is Now Tour

by LBCDiana on 6/19/17The Belasco Theater - Los Angeles

Though the opening talks were too familiar, the overall the event felt like an evening with old friends. The question and answer time brought out the best in the minimalist - as it was a time that showed their true humanness and quick wit.

    No big surprises

by Mfig299 on 6/19/17The Belasco Theater - Los Angeles

If you know their story already, the most benefit you will receive is from the guest speaker. There is no new material and the show started late. The chairs were not comfortable and too close together.

by Reycel on 5/24/17Cedar Cultural Center - Minneapolis

The Minimalists are two honest and wonderful guys! They inspired me to really work on being a minimalist and consciously think about the things I bring into my life. Josh and Ryan were also both so funny! They are both so real and relax at the same time. You will definitely learn so much from them. They give their very best advice and always encourages.

I really enjoy the minimalist message overall but did not receive any value in seeing them live. The first 45 minutes was repetitive information to anyone who's seen the documentary or heard at least one of their podcast episodes.

    Needed More

by wemustdeclutter on 5/24/17Cedar Cultural Center - Minneapolis

The answers to peoples questions were long. Get to the point and stay within the question. You guy's strayed from the question and only got through maybe three people. You have people in line that got turned away. They stood for 30-45 minutes. Rude. I needed more of your experiences from starting of your journey to where you're now. You two are very engaging and have a lot to offer.

    The Minimalists Rocked

by RVPrincess1983 on 5/20/1720 Monroe Live - Grand Rapids

The show was great! So many good messages, lots of laughs, and good music. I left feeling inspired and excited about my next steps. And the guys stayed late for us to meet and grab some pictures and hugs. Perfect evening!!

    Nothing new

by Person18875 on 5/20/1720 Monroe Live - Grand Rapids

If you listen to their podcast it was a repeat of all of their current podcasts down to the questions asked and responses given. The Q&A seemed stage and most of the story was an exact repeat from their Netflix doc. If I could choose to go again, I would not.

The Minimalists were everything I expected!

by ValMali on 5/16/17Neptune Theatre - Seattle

I first saw their documentary, then read, "Everything That Remains", and was so excited to hear that they were coming to Seattle. I've been trying to live this way for a while now, and the biggest hurdle has always been keeping memories. Through them, I've learned that memories are kept inside of you. Loved the show!

by MinimalistMorgan on 5/15/17Neptune Theatre - Seattle

These two were awesome live! I really appreciate their time and willingness to share their incredibly valuable message with the world. Got to meet a lot of the people behind the scenes also, and they were all so dedicated and remarkable!

    Minimalists great ideas for simplifiying

by traceeog on 5/15/17Neptune Theatre - Seattle

Surprisingly good. They were new to me. DIdn't know of them or their message. Lots of techies in the house who were big fans. They speak to the millennial who has everything and the need to evaluate lifestyle in the big picture. Regardless of your background gave great ideas for living more relevant life.

It was great to see The Minimalists in person. Since I had already been following them for a few years on their podcast, I already knew their background stories (which was what they shared during the show). I figured they would have some interesting topic or share something we already didn't know about them. Seemed more fitting for an audience who may not have been as familiar with them.

    Skip the Minimalist show

by Essj on 4/19/17The Wilbur - Boston

I really cannot recommend that anyone spend their money or time going to see these guys. I had watched their Ted Talk awhile before, and was SO disappointed that the presentation on stage was nearly verbatim -- down to the jokes and the pregnant pauses. I had been hoping for something meatier than the Ted Talk -- after all, there was a lot of time for these guys to go deeply into just HOW one begins the shift away from compulsive consumerism. I had been hoping for a sort of beginners "To Do" list -- where to begin, how to assess one's possessions, a suggested order, obstacles that will arise, how to address those obstacles, some before and after visuals of their changed lives -- ANYTHING other than the skating upon the surface treatment these guys gave the minimalism idea. The lightening round for questions at the end was just plain silly -- watching these guys compete for making pithy, short responses added no take-aways for which I thought I had paid.

    Not worth price of admission

by Rebbrann on 4/19/17Port City Music Hall - Portland

The first 45 minutes of backstory was told painfully slowly...I wanted to shout, "Get to the point!" Josh has a quicker wit at the interactive piece but the other fellow just shouldn't be on stage. They must highly edit for their podcast if it is to have any value. Advice like put your options in a hat and go with the one you pull out are not worth the price of admission.
