    Awesome- but cold!

by Tammi on 1/11/22Arts at the Armory - Somerville

First time seeing them - so moved by the experience - their genuineness and personal stories are very moving. The venue was beautiful but it was very cold in there. That combined with the seating (the chairs themselves) was very uncomfortable. Didn’t take away from the experience (although I think the bar contributed to the woman who spoiled a few moments for me. Her demeanor took away from others opportunities) but Joshua and Ryan handled her well.

    Excellent time @ The Minimalists!

by Simicro77 on 1/10/22Gramercy Theatre - New York

Had a great time seeing The Minimalists at Gramercy Theater in NYC. I really appreciated the small venue atmosphere as well as the city hall format where the audience members could ask questions. Learned a lot of insightful things that I will take with me. Great price for the tickets as well. Highly recommended!

    A Soul-feeding experience!

by Amy on 1/10/22Gramercy Theatre - New York

Amidst all the craziness going on in the world today it was so nourishing to se people talking about building better lives by letting go of clutter in all area of life. And people in the audience having better tools now to enhance their lives. Ryan’s monologue in the beginning I’ve heard many times on the podcasts but I NEVER get tired of hearing it because it’s simply the truth. T. K. Coleman compliments both of you. Looking forward to seeing you guys again next year with a friend or two!

It was great to see The Minimalists in person! I have been listening to their podcasts and reading their essays for a few months now and they have helped me tremendously. JP Sears was hilarious and great to see, as well. I hope to see them all again one day.

Not What I thought It Would Be

    by Meyers315 on 11/21/17Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

I saw the Minimalist documentary so I was happy to see that they were coming to Atlanta. The first half of the show was a recap of the documentary. The second half was recording a podcast which consisted of audience questions (Why do you keep mentioning on your podcasts where the donations go? Why do you feel the need to tell us where the money goes? / I am afraid of public speaking, what advice do you have?) While they have no control over the questions asked, it wasn't what I signed up for. These were the type of questions that only pertain to the individual and don't have anything to do with the topic. JP Sears seemed to be having his own stand up routine. Not sure the purpose of his presence although I do find his Youtube videos entertaining. All in all, I felt that this was not what I thought it would consist of. So I left early.
