The Marshall Tucker Band on Tour

Southern rock pioneers The Marshall Tucker Band have created legendary music like "Can't You See" and "Fire on the Mountain" since the '70s. While the members have changed over the years, the music that defined a generation remains the same. The rockers still energize stadiums with their iconic sound that combines rock, jazz, country, righteous guitar solos, and instrumental jam sessions. The Marshall Tucker Band hit the road in 2022 for a tour of the U.S. in celebration of 50 years of making great music. So whether you're a die-hard fan of five decades or just looking for an excellent Southern rock performance, be sure to grab tickets to see the band on their 50th Anniversary Tour. You won't be disappointed.

The Marshall Tucker Band Live in Concert

The '70s were a golden age for pop-rock music, and The Marshall Tucker Band led the charge as a new wave of Southern rock bands began to emerge. In 1972, guitarist Toy Caldwell and rhythm guitarist George McCorkle formed the six-piece in South Carolina and named the band after a blind piano tuner whose name they found inscribed on their rehearsal space key. The original lineup consisted of Caldwell, his brother Tommy Caldwell on bass, McCorkle, vocalist Doug Gray, Jerry Eubanks on flute and tenor sax, and Paul Riddle on drums. The group initially gained recognition on tour with The Allman Brothers Band and found continued success thanks to their classic Southern melodies that were perfect for radio. The group's self-titled debut album was released in March 1973 and included the hit single "Can't You See," peaking at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Marshall Tucker Band took a brief break in 1980 after the death of bassist Tommy Caldwell, but the band was revived with a new lineup and began touring again in 1983. The group mostly stuck to their musical roots, but they did take some brief detours to explore other genres with 1998's all-blues album Face Down in the Blues and the 1999 spiritual album Gospel. Overall, The Marshall Tucker Band have released over 20 studio albums and dozens of live releases, which have collectively gone multi-platinum many times. The band remains active to this day, touring throughout the United States and celebrate their 50th anniversary on tour in 2022.

  • Now a Cover Band

by Eddie on 6/22/25DeVos Performance Hall - Grand RapidsRating: 3 out of 5

It was a pretty good concert. With the lead singer being out and no other original members present, it was essentially a cover band for Marshall Tucker. The instrumentals were very good. The singing was missing the talent of the original singer.

  • Marshall Tucker Band Concert 2025

by Cave on 6/18/25Capital Region Amphitheater - Jefferson CityRating: 5 out of 5

Doug Gray is still an excellent singer and guitar player. He is surrounded by outstanding musicians who perform all MTB songs just like in the 70's. What a great concert.

  • Sound engineer needs training.

by Tompaul on 6/17/25Capital Region Amphitheater - Jefferson CityRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed Marshall Tucker Bands music in spite of only having two original members. The enjoyment was reduced thanks to a sound engineer who doesn’t understand that overdriving the bass bin doesn’t produce good sound quality. Also several times the flute and saxophone equalization was so bad the sound was nearly painful. Or leads could not be heard at all. I will have to seriously reconsider attending another concert at the Jefferson City Amphitheater unless I hear that the sound engineer position has been replaced.

  • Worth every penny!

by MandaBrooke on 6/17/25Capital Region Amphitheater - Jefferson CityRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was small and intimate, the performance was spectacular, will most definitely be seeing them again in the future and many accolades to Marcus Henderson who did amazing on keyboards, sax, flute and his vocals were truly inspiring!

  • Played all the hits!

by PC on 6/17/25Capital Region Amphitheater - Jefferson CityRating: 5 out of 5

They sounded great. Took me back in time. The flute/sax player was awesome. Guitar playing also great. Would have liked to heard some commentary about the songs.. such as who wrote them, the inspiration etc. also would have liked the band members to be introduced. Had a great evening.

  • Fantastic!!!

by Woolf on 6/10/25TempleLive Wichita - WichitaRating: 5 out of 5

The hall and their staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Marshall Tucker started on time and played a solid 90 minute set. The experience could not have been better!

  • 120 decibels is 2 loud

by Flyboy on 6/9/25TempleLive Wichita - WichitaRating: 2 out of 5

It was way to loud. My cell phone showed 120 decibels.

  • Great Band

by Mack on 5/26/25Township Auditorium - ColumbiaRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed Marshall Tucker a lot. I was a little surprised that they played first. I guess I am not going to enough concerts these days. They were great and I enjoyed them very much. Ticketmaster should make it more clear which band is going to play first.

  • Disappointing

by Maguch on 5/13/25The Edge Pavilion - LaughlinRating: 2 out of 5

It’s unfortunate that Dougie Gray is having health issues, which we were not aware until after the show. None of the current line up mentioned or paid tribute to him at any time during the show. The band played the hits but not very well in my opinion. The show was 75 minutes, not at all worth the price of admission. It was no better than a b grade tribute band.

  • Fun and Fabulous

by Hydster on 5/13/25The Edge Pavilion - LaughlinRating: 5 out of 5

We saw Marshall Tucker at the Edge Pavilion in Laughlin, NV on May 10 with friends. The venue is perfect, for smaller events the band and acoustics were epic!

The band was great. Wish the bass & the volume could have been turned down a bit. The Edge Pavillion is a nice venue.

  • MT Band

My husband and I had a wonderful time......sure wish it lasted longer :). I wasn't sure to begin with if I would like it or not but they were phenomenal. If you didn't have a good time, you have no-one to blame but yourself.

Great music, excellent guitar work. Way too loud 😳. Amps turned up to point of distortion.

  • Brought back so many GREAT memories!

by MizLani on 5/13/25The Edge Pavilion - LaughlinRating: 5 out of 5

In spite of the fact that Doug Gray was unable to perform due to health reasons, Chris and the boys still put on a show worthy of five stars! They performed all the songs we know and love, and even personalized it to the desert theme since they were playing in Nevada. If they are coming to your venue, don't hesitate to snag tickets asap. A lot of the older bands play, and the energy isn't the same as it was back in the day, or they play a bunch of new stuff they're trying to sell on the latest album. NOT THE CASE with this show. Energy was high and they sounded as great as they used to when I was much younger. Thank you Marshall Tucker Band for doing what you do so well!

  • Good Show!

    by Baloo559 on 5/13/25The Edge Pavilion - LaughlinRating: 4 out of 5

I really enjoyed this show. For the most part they sounded very good. Apparently on of the singers was having some vocal issues due to a cold or something, but i really didn't notice it all that much. I also appreciated that the keyboard player also played a flute and sax instead of just using a synth to mimic those sounds. The guitars were excellent and the drummers solo, though short was also excellent. Thanks for the musicianship! My only knock is a minor one, that being that at just about 1 hour the show seemed a little short. A bit more would have been great.

  • Great time

by Barbara on 5/13/25The Edge Pavilion - LaughlinRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the concert they played old school southern rock and could sing great

  • Marshall Tucker Band

It was a very good show just a couple of things, a little to loud and way to short. It was worth the money

  • Marshall Tucker Band - nostalgia

by Catmanchar on 3/25/25L'Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge - Baton RougeRating: 5 out of 5

Lead guitarist and flautist were phenomenal. I loved seeing Doug Gray - you can still hear his unique tones although his voice has faded a bit in 77 years. He was so generous with Will and his band by having them sing too. My husband and I loved it!!!!!!!

  • The Marshall Tucker Band

by Disappointed on 3/25/25L'Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge - Baton RougeRating: 1 out of 5

Its time for the lead singer to hang it up. In addition, the sound was so loud that I had to hold my fingers over my ears in certain spots. We go to LOTS of concerts but I've never had this experience. The flute (which I played and is one of my favorite instruments) was at such a sound level that I could not enjoy it. And he, the keyboard, flute and sax player was the most talented in the band. Great voice as well. If Will Moseley had not sang with them on the final song, it would have been a complete disaster!

  • Obstructed view

by Hubby&Wifey on 3/25/25L'Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge - Baton RougeRating: 3 out of 5

Our seats were floor seating on the right side of the stage. We could not see the band because there were speakers in the way. The seats were not advertised as obstructed view. Enjoyed the casino and the music but really disappointed we were not advised that our seats were obstructed view and not able to see the band. The seating chart used to select the seats also was misleading and didn’t imply we wouldn’t be able to see the band.
