  • 70s soul jam was incredible!

by mzluzy on 4/18/17Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

I was so happy that all the entertainers voices were still strong! Gerald and the Manhattans, Stephanie Mills dancing all over the place, Peabo, and Jeffrey Osbourne all sounded so good. They put on great performances that had me singing all night long. i really enjoyed this show and would recommend it to anyone who loves GOOD music.

  • Top notch entertainment

    by MD11fixer on 4/18/17Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

The show is full of great singing and top performance by some of the most quality singers in the business. Stephanie Mills will stomp a hole in the floor, Peabo Bryson love songs are very soulful, The Manhattans will bring the old school rhythm and blues. Jeffery Osborne will bring it home with a full range of funk, blues and outstanding old school feeling best of the 70's music era.

  • 2nd Best show I've seen in thirty years!

    by mirsmom410 on 4/18/17Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I expected to gone by 11:00 pm and hear a series of melodies from each performer, I was wonderfully wrong - I had to go work on Easter or I would have stayed for the entire performance. Jeffery Osborne was still singing when we left. The sound engineers for the Opera House need more training?! A perfect evening marred by feedback, too loud music that drowned out the singers....

  • Absolutely Fantastic Concert

by LerBette on 4/18/17Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Every single group was outstanding!!! Starting with the Manhattans feat. Gerald Alston, then Peabo was off the chain singing all his old classics. Stephanie Mills came on and did Feel the Fire and you know Peabo sang it too...Finally Jeffrey Osborne did that!!! I had said to myself "Why is he headlining?" Well he answered my question with the finale and tore the stage up...

  • Great Concert the 70's are the best

by Anonymous on 4/18/17Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Great, Great and Great !!! Set up time between acts was too long. Should have announced a 30 min intermission after the first two acts this way the audience had some sense of time. The MC after the Manhattans was out of order, we had a nice crowd and he took his act to the gutter sexually. NOT COOL !!!

Great show but took to learn BG to set up for each entertainers band.

  • Sound Crew

    by DA103 on 4/18/17Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

The sound crew/company was terrible 30-40 mins delays between sets. Jeffery had to cut his show short.

The show was outstanding from beginning to end. There was even some surprise singers who could really sing. The Manhattans were good as usual. They sang for just about two hours. Also the food that we ordered was also good. What an exceptional evening.
