  • Still got It After Nearly 54 Years!

by sunbuff on 9/5/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Although all members of the original group are deceased and the remaining members were facing a funeral of a member the next day, the Manhattans turned the Birchmere out! Well dressed and sounding great, they bellowed out all of their oldies but goodies during their 2 hour non-stop show. Their guitar player was great also - singing and performing on his guitar in Jimmy Hendrix style. Great performance!

Their performance was amazing. Voices were strong and smooth, they interacted with the audience throughout the concert and we were treated to an evening of fantastic music! Thanks Birchmere for your great venue!

Memories lite the corner of my mind as the Manhattans entertained! The Birchmere was the perfect intimate setting for the performance that lasted 2 hours non stop. I LOVED it!! :-)

Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Wonderful stroll down memory lane. How do we remember all the words to all of the songs after all these years. Very energetic performance. Birchmere was perfect location for this show.

  • A Little Off But Still Good

    by Queen104 on 9/15/15Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first time seeing the Manhattans without Blue and I was not sure what to expect. While the Manhattans were good something indeed was missing from their performance and their voices. This was the very first time I heard them sing whereby someone was off key. I believe that it was the new singer, however, I will give him credit for giving his best. He seemed a little nervous - but all in all I enjoyed the show. Would I go see them again - in a heartbeat! I love Gerald Alston's voice and as usual he gave his very all and all. I would suggest that they think of having someone/or perhaps a local group to open for them -thereby taking some of the strain off of them. After all these years of singing they deserve the right to relax, enjoy, and sing to their hearts content!

  • Manhattan's Showed Off!!!

by VirginiaPeach on 9/15/15Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

OMG this was the best concert. It was my mother's birthday and the Manhattan's concert was her gift. We had a good time. Those guys can sing and really give a good performance. Afterwards we took pictures with them and they did signings. A good group of guys. We take our Mother every year to see them when they come to Alexandria, Virginia. Now my favorite guy is Troy, he's so sexy. I recommend that you go and see them if you have not gone before. I will be there next year 2016.

  • AMAZING!!!

by Sashared on 9/15/15Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

All I can say is not one does it like the old school singers. They still got it!!! All of the songs they sang sounded like they were off the album. The most impressive part was they didn't take a break like the usual musicians. I would definitely do and see them again. Gerald still looks and sounds amazing :)

  • Still Got it

by ReGib on 9/15/15Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

The show was awesome. They still got it, even though some of the original group members had passed on. I was impressed and of course Gerald Alston was sensational. Can't wait until they return to the Birchmere so I can take my family to see them. Well worth the tickets!

I have seen the Manhattans many times but this is one of the best concerts I have been to in many years. Gerald Alston is simply amazing. While I can't deny that I very much miss Blue Lovett, Sonny Bivens and all of the original Manhattans this present with Gerald Alston out front will continue the great legacy of this very amazing GROUP!!!!!!!!

  • Classic Manhattans!!!

by Dlottie on 8/1/15Fitz Casino Tunica - RobinsonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the ease of purchasing my tickets and seats. I don't often go to concerts because of the size of the venue. The Fitz Casino Tunica was the perfect place for me to see a group I grew up listening to. The Manhattans were great, amazing, good looking and sound fabulous. I know I will see them again at The Fitz Casino Tunica, if they return as my husband was not able to attend. They are one of his favorite groups. Thanks for a wonderful evening! I even won money on the slot machines! :-)

The show was fantastic! The Manhattans took me back to a place where songs were actually songs with meanings. The venue, Fitz Casino, was way too tight. When we were taken to our seats it was only l l/2 seats to use and not the 2 seats we paid for. This is because the seats were so tight, overweight people were partially in other seats. We were on the front row to the right side. As others came in to be seated, they were placed in seats in the corner of the venue. Because their seats were too tight as well. I don't believe our area was VIP. Even though we were on front row. We had to keep our necks to the left to see the show. This gave my husband a couple of crooks in his neck. Maybe it could have been a price between the original $25 ticket and the $55 we paid for VIP (Perhaps $40). But I really enjoyed the show

  • The show was WONDERFUL!!!!

the show was wonderful. The lead singer sounds just like the original. Everyone was great. Their dancing was on point. I especially enjoyed watching the one name Troy dance.

The Manhattans put on a fantasic show which was full of great music, fun and laughter. It was a great concert, just an all around great concert!

  • Nice.

by salou on 3/17/15Andiamo Celebrity Showroom - WarrenRating: 4 out of 5

Nice concert. I really enjoyed the dramatics. They had everyone up on their feet singing and dancing. I was disappointed though to see that LJ Reynolds was not there. He has a phenomenal voice. Willie Ford did a great job, but it would have been even better to have the two of them on stage. Manhattans were good too.

  • the manhattans were great

    by BigButch333 on 3/16/15Andiamo Celebrity Showroom - WarrenRating: 4 out of 5

I liked the show just not the setting. The seats at Andiamos were quite uncomfortable and truthfully speaking, the pricing was on the high end side. If I see either of these groups again, it won't be there!

Great show. Wished the Dramatics would have sung more songs. Great to see Willie Ford in the group, the oldest living Dramatic.

  • the whole show was great

The concert was wonderful. Vick Allen was great but the Manhattan's were awesome' I loved it. I felt like David Austin was singing to me personally.
