THE MACHINE IN CONCERT:
As one of America's oldest Pink Floyd tribute bands, the Machine have spent more than 25 years honing their craft, and it's paid off -- Spin magazine confirms that they sound "exactly like Pink Floyd." Combining elaborate stage design, a state-of-the-art light and laser show, and end-to-end performances of seminal albums like Dark Side of the Moon, the band faithfully recreates Pink Floyd's legendary live shows in painstakingly brilliant detail. Fans looking for a dose of the Floyd are sure to be "Comfortably Numb" as they soak in the Machine's epic performances on their 2014 tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in the late-'80s, New York-based the Machine arose out of its members' desire to pay homage to their idols in Pink Floyd. Over their years, their dedication and hard work saw them graduate from small bars and clubs to sold-out shows around the world, including festivals like Bonnaroo and Germany's Rock of Ages. With a knowledge of Pink Floyd's catalog that rivals that of the most rigorous Floyd historian, the Machine is known for playing the Floyd's classic hits alongside obscure cuts from darkest corners of their expansive discography. Back on tour in 2014, the band will once again recreate the legendary band's epic stage show with elaborate set designs, state-of-the-art audiovisuals, and marathon sets.
Fantastic show, better than I imagined. Great music with a great light show!
My boyfriend is a huge Pink Floyd fan so I bought tickets to the show as a gift. He said it was the best concert he has seen in 30 years! The display of talent by each member was nothing short of Amazing! Performance, lights, sound and effects.. Awesome!!!
Have been seeing this band for 25 years. It's sad that Joe passed but they still know how to bring the excitement.
This is a great band! Best concert in years! I saw Pink Floyd four times in the past and it really felt like I was back there again! Love love love this band! My wife and I will travel to see them again! If you’re on the fence about seeing them, get off the fence and get in the front row! You will not be disappointed !!!
The Machine has some talent, but as a Pink Floyd tribute band it's lacking in many area's. The lead guitarist is the band, shares in vocals and without him they would not exist. Bass player contributes to vocals, though his voice is very weak. The keyboardist is over dramatic, has so so vocals and is distracting from the core music of Floyd. These three rotate or combine together in singing and none of them stand out in any sense of quality. The female drummer is quite good, but seemed a half beat to slow and could punch the pig skins harder. There's no light show to speak of and one was immediately given the impression of a low budget act with extremely poor vocals. No one in attendance was expecting a Brit or Australian Pink Floyd experience, but "Signs of Life"which is an Ohio based Floyd Tribute band blows these clowns to the curbside. If the band invests in dedicated lead singer, focuses on the music and not drama along with some technology they could be something special.
Saw the Artists perform at the Foxwoods Casino and as part of the 2nd set they did Dark Side Of the Moon in its entirety ! Simply The Best ! Say Pink Floyd do it in 1973 and The Machine will not disappoint !
The light show was amazing...and we all enjoyed the music also..
My wife and I really had an awesome time. The band is amazing!!!
I had a great time at the machine great show especially with the Lazer show
The Machine was performing an exact replica of Pink Floyd songs, it might be better for certain songs they could play their own version, anyway it was great, and the GA venue was not full, so we had some space to dance!
It was excellent. I would go again. I loved the lights and the smoke and 🎶 music
The machine are great entertainers, they sound just like Pink Floyd, I can't wait until they come this way again, I will be there.
Great evening for an outside show at seneca Niagara. The Machine concert was fantastic. I will be seeing them again.
The band “The Machine” were really good. They have spent a lot of time practicing. You can tell they really love what they play.
The band sounded fantastic and I could tell they really enjoyed playing with each other
First time seeing The Machine. I completely enjoyed my experience! All was done very well.
2nd time seeing them.at a little over 10 years apart and they have gotten even better! Their new bass player is fantastic! Wish they would come to.the midwest (MSP) in future.
If you love Pink Floyd and intimate settings, you will love The Machine. Each member of the band is fabulous. They are a cohesive group that love what they’re doing and play Pink Floyd over a variety of genres. The only issue with them is that the show ends.
The Machine never disappoints. This was my third time seeing them. And I will most likely come see them again. The only minor complaint I would have: the theater seats were sized for skinny people 100 years ago... but that's a personal 21st century problem! 😁
Never, ever better! Still love Joe, but better than ever!
