THE MACHINE IN CONCERT:

As one of America's oldest Pink Floyd tribute bands, the Machine have spent more than 25 years honing their craft, and it's paid off -- Spin magazine confirms that they sound "exactly like Pink Floyd." Combining elaborate stage design, a state-of-the-art light and laser show, and end-to-end performances of seminal albums like Dark Side of the Moon, the band faithfully recreates Pink Floyd's legendary live shows in painstakingly brilliant detail. Fans looking for a dose of the Floyd are sure to be "Comfortably Numb" as they soak in the Machine's epic performances on their 2014 tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in the late-'80s, New York-based the Machine arose out of its members' desire to pay homage to their idols in Pink Floyd. Over their years, their dedication and hard work saw them graduate from small bars and clubs to sold-out shows around the world, including festivals like Bonnaroo and Germany's Rock of Ages. With a knowledge of Pink Floyd's catalog that rivals that of the most rigorous Floyd historian, the Machine is known for playing the Floyd's classic hits alongside obscure cuts from darkest corners of their expansive discography. Back on tour in 2014, the band will once again recreate the legendary band's epic stage show with elaborate set designs, state-of-the-art audiovisuals, and marathon sets.

    Welcome to The Machine

by TheAndersonCouncil on 1/21/16Keswick Theatre - Glenside

A great tribute to Pink Floyd. They've nailed every note in every song. I've seen them in dive bars, sports bars, small theatres and large theatres. They never disappoint! They play the entire Floyd catalog.

Band is one of the best Floyd cover bands and the girl on drums rocks the house spot on! And the show was was 3 hours of The Machine playing with only a 15 min break.

Missed a Chance of a Lifetime

by Mapuana on 1/11/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

My Uncle sadly passed away when The Machine performed at B.B. King Blues & Grill. I bought tickets to surprise my husband who is a huge fan of Pink Floyd. So unfortunate but we both missed the performance I was so looking forward to watch with him.

    Stunning bandwith and playing fun

by MichaelTheGerman on 1/7/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

I have seen them a few times about 10 years ago when they toured Germany on their Animals and The Wall Tours. It was nice that my New York holiday coincidenced with their gig at B.B.Kings. Great setlist, opening and closing with Shine on. Lots of classics in between as well as some really early days stuff with space to improvise. One might have missed Welcome to the machine (sic!), Echoes or the end of Dark side, but there was a lot to listen to. Emphasis was on The Wall and Wish you were here albums. The band had a lot of fun onstage, and it transferred to the audience. I remember a fourpiece band, but this five piece setup was a brillant and clever choice, with two guitar players and good singers for the Waters and Gilmour vocal types. Apparently that's not the permanent constellation, but it should be! Lighting of course was a bit limited because the venue is quite small and there's hardly stage depht or height, but still a tasteful job done. Sound with the house PA was good, could have been more deeep bass, but maybe this was depending on our seating.

They play the pink floyd catalog amazingly well...to the finest of details. Went with a group of 8 friends and family and we all left surprised at how awesome the show was. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who likes pink floyd and great guitar playing
