by Hope on 10/2/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I can't describe the creativity and beauty of each individual costume. The elegance of the entry aaf the pageant of animals was breathtaking. Every word, every movement was deliberate, precise, and captivating. The performers' energy was contagious. This was an amazing production.

  • ... Hakuna Matata not so much

    by Saltwaterboy70 on 10/1/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

I've seen the show 3-4 times over the years, and was always impressed. Not so on this occasion. There was either a problem with the sound board, or actors, because throughout the show you could barely hear their dialogue, especially when the turned their head or were not facing the crowd. Rafiki used to steal the show, she was good but not great. Timon and Pumba were very lackluster. The rest of the cast was decent at best. Scar was the loan standout. As usual, the music and costumes were incredible, the only reason for a 3 star. Definitely not worth 300+. Try Frozen, which was excellent. Or Wicked which continues to be great.

  • Hamburg or Broadway- Lion King

    by J. T. on 10/1/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Hi! I’ve seen the lion king several times in Hamburg/Germany. Negatives about the Show: People are eating in the theater during the show: they smack, everything’s dirty, it’s loud due to the chips bags etc. The show had sound problems, the actors DO NEED phonetic lessons. Their language is not clear or precise. Can you feel the love tonight was the short version- why?! Little simba ist already too old and tall. Little Nala was too light .. Positives: Grown Simba voice! Mufasa Voice! Nala Voice! Small Nala voice! He lives in you Rafiki Thank you!

by Asish on 9/25/19Minskoff Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

All the characters and the way everything was put together was just great. Every corner of the theater was used and crowd was just mesmerized by the performance of each and everyone. Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Every actor was just so happy to perform the character they were depicting and they themselves were enjoying it, that's why it is the No 1 musical. Cheers!!!
