  • One the best blues guitar players in the world...

by KingBB on 7/27/14Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

I first saw Kenny, at the Experience Hendrix show in 2009. He blew the roof of that place back then...no other guitarist that was there even came close to doing what he did that night. He was much better on 07-24-2014. What a band and the blues filled the place. You don't experience a night of the blues like the one Kenny gave us on Thursday night, wow. You know that you are seeing an expert when they make it look easy. The song transitions were spectacular and the frenetic pace of the show were unparalleled. The only other guitarist I know of that is a master of the blues guitar is Derek Trucks, good guitar club, huh? By the way there were absolute fanatics in the audience that knew every word of every song, amazing. The blonde lady next to me had been to 15 concerts for Kenny....hmmm something going on here.

  • Kenny Wayne still has it

by MDZC on 7/27/14Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 4 out of 5

It was quite a night at the Stick on Thursday when Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band rocked the house. There should be no doubt he can play guitar; this performance confirms that. I follow him fairly closely and continue to be disappointed with the lack of original material over the last decade, plus. Not knowing anything about the business of music I can only surmise re-do's of old tunes still sell. The audience had a lot of middle-aged and up fans in the very crowded room.

  • A quintessential example of Rock and Blues style.

by Cirbuck1 on 7/25/14House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Kenny Wayne Shepherd was unbelievably amazing. He has taken on the role of moving the rock and blues styles of the great forefathers like Elmore James, Albert Collins, Freddie King, and even Jimi H. and Stevie Ray Vaughn to the next or contemporary level. There was a line in a great movie called Crossroads where an old blues legend character tells a young guy that is up and coming, "you gotta take the music as you found it up to the next level". KWS does that remarkably well. His band is great as well. He has found a singer that compliments his style and music perfectly. All in all, one of those kind of shows that makes you want to get up and move to the music.

by Anonymous on 7/22/14House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

KWS and his band came to play. The horn section was a nice touch and it was great hearing some good old blues - which is getting harder and harder to hear.

Great performance. Especially liked the fact that downstair seating was available for first come first serve.

by Cyanrocketman on 7/8/14IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Being close and watching him play while listening to his guitar was the best! He just gets better with age. He is more rock now than Blues but he is still awesome! ! have been a fan for a long time and this was an opporunity I couldn't pass up, one of his concerts finally fit in my busy schedule. I won't forget it anytime soon. I hope to get to go to another one in the future.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band always a GREAT show! This Louisiana boy can play the blues guitar like nobody's business and Noah Hunt has got the pipes to go along with the guitar. Perfection is the word that comes to mind. We think it is awesome the way this band pays respect to the roots of their music and it shows in their sound and treatment of their fans and fellow musicians. We enjoy going to the IP Casino. In the future we will return to hear this band and others as well.

  • great show

  • Amazing guitarist

by Heycrazylady on 7/8/14IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Phenomenal musicians and pure talent on the stage. We enjoyed the show but did not care for the IP itself. I'd rather have seen it at a different venue. Parking is unorganized and not well marked. I watched people get into fights pulling into the valet area. We ended up parking across the street and walking. The Warf at Gulf Shores or the Hard Rock is a much better venue. It was a great show and worth it!

  • awesome

by pamdu on 7/8/14IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the new music...can't wait to buy it....love the old. Glad to see them again.

  • Only one word can sum it up, Awesome!

by Anonymous on 7/8/14IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Ok, two words, Totally Awesome! Started on time, and it was non stop enjoyment. Well polished band. First time to see both the Band and a show at the IP, Biloxi, and neither disappointed.
