The Isley Brothers on Tour
The Isley Brothers are as much a force of nature as a group you gotta experience them in person to get the full sensory effect. Though some of the original Isleys are no longer with us, Ronald and Ernie Isley continue to front the band in grand style; Ronald's vocal power and Ernie's guitar fireworks are both as strong and soulful as ever. Within seconds of the Isleys taking the stage, it's obvious Ronald was born to be a frontman from his commanding stage presence to his sartorial style and of course his undeniable vocal prowess, he remains a riveting performer. And when Ernie leans into one of his signature licks, like the liquid wah-wah guitar lines of "That Lady," the electricity is coming from more than just his amplifier. Add a killer backup band, dynamic dancers and a thrilling stage show, and you've got not just a show, but a full-blown event.
The Isley Brothers in Concert
Believe it or not, the original incarnation of The Isley Brothers first began performing back in 1954. In the decades that followed, the group evolved through a multitude of stylistic shifts, going from gospel music to R&B to funk and beyond. Along the way they've contributed tons of tunes to the pop pantheon, including "Shout," "That Lady," "Twist and Shout," "It's Your Thing" and "Fight the Power," to name just a few. In era after era, the Isleys have managed to successfully reinvent themselves, even as some of the original members were lost. Now the luminous voice of Ronald Isley and the funky guitar of his younger brother Ernie continue to bring the legacy of the American institution that is The Isley Brothers not only into the present, but into the future as well.

All the acts were phenomenal! Although there were technical difficulties, each artist displayed their level of professionalism and understanding that things happen. Most impressive was GQ, whose guitar was not properly wired. So as not to delay the show any longer, he went to Plan B and played the track. In true artistry fashion, he played his guitar and sang along to the track. When the guitar finally came up, he didn't miss a beat and was right in synch with the track and performed magnificently. This was true talent on display and was appreciated. Of course Ron and Ernie Isley left nothing on the table. Each performed at a level that was unexpected, for the now senior gentlemen. Ron at 82 may have been a little unsteady on his feet and sat during some portions of the show, however, his voice is just as clear and touching as when I saw him 1987. There is no one to compare Ernie to. His skills on the guitar are unmatched by anyone who profess to be "it"in the rock world. He blended soul and rock seamlessly within each song. All I can say is I am happy to have experienced each of these artists when I was younger. I am just as moved, inspired and in awe now at 70. Good music never fades, it only gets better and creates emotions and memories that stand the test of time.
I tried hard to resale my tickets (nobody wanted them) but I'm glad I couldn't. All 4 One and Next made it worth the money. They sang their hits and other people's 90's songs too...it hyped up the crowd. The microphones kept going out on Atlantic Star and Peaches and Herb. But they still did good. The sound system went out for about five to ten minutes I'm GQ's guitar, but he still rocked. Delfonics, well, that wasn't my era. The Isley Brothers...smh...I left after the second song. Well, Ron's voice isn't what it used to be and I couldn't take it anymore.
I enjoyed the music and the presentation. We should take advantage of the opportunity while they still exsist!
Wonderful time in a fantastic venue with family and friends, now the music...Peaches and Herb were who we thought they would be, the Delphonics I missed as they were the first act and did less than 15min I would have loved to see them. All for one were better than I thought as i was not a fan previously but did enjoy them. Atlantic Starr? what can you say the songs will always be there but the key people have moved on (Barbara I miss you) however the replacements were creditable. "Next"was probably the best performance of the night, I did not think they fit this roster but I was surprised and enjoyed them the most. GQ had tech problems early but pulled it off. The Isley's well? father time is undefeated he will get all of us, just on Respect alone I wanted to see them.
The artists were amazing, only complaint is about all the technical difficulties. The QR code to try to meet and greet didn’t work and the mics were faulty.
Omg everything was OUTSTANDING. 3-4 hour concert. All the hits took us on a wonderful trip down memory lane. If you haven’t bought your tickets, what are you waiting for????
The sound system was bad. The artist voices were coming in & out. I thought it was too long show people started to leave. I would love to see Isley Brother come back but on a smaller venue.
It's was great concert until next got up there. It was suppose to be a valentines concert??? They were vulgar.
Glad I got to see Isley Brothers! The show was great and I had a good time.
A lot of technical difficulties. The stage crew hung out in a large group on stage with light hitting them during the performances which made it a huge distraction. If I could get my money back, I would. Wasn't worth the $100 I paid for ground level.
They performed a fraction of their hits because they’re countless! It was a great show, they sound amazing! I don’t want to give it away, but will definitely be seeing them again!
Lots of technical problems throughout the whole concert
The show was absolutely amazing! Each artist took their time and did so well. Despite a few hiccups with audio, the artists continued to do their thing and give us superb performances. The venue had easy check-In, drinks and food accessibly made and exiting a breeze.
Due my medical condition, I was sadly l, and I mean sadly, unable to attend. I would have needed to travel from Nova Scotia, Canada. The Isley brothers make me laugh and smile constantly with their videos and I will forever be grateful for that. They have no idea the light of laughter they have shone into my light.❤️ I’m sure it was 5 star…. I wish I could have made the trip but life had other plans…. I will look forward to some videos!
Everything was great including the sound and the seats.
Enjoyed the show. The Isley brothers were fantastic. They sounded great. Guitar playing was fantastic as always. Great show
I took my wife out for outing at the MGM to see the Isley Brothers who we grew up on. I must say we really had great time, the isley brothers were great the atmosphere was wonderful and can't wait to attend another show
The show was too short. It was 40 minutes late and Ronald only acted as the f he was singing for 1 hour and 15 minutes. I have been to see many artist at MGM and all their shows ate usually good. This time I felt like I didn’t get my moneys worth.
The show was good but entirely too short. The cost was over $100 for about an hour worth of entertainment. I understand he’s older but it still it wasn’t worth what we paid.
