Mickey Doling was excellent. He put on a great show and the music was excellent.
Great concept, and a lot of neat little off shoot events. But we showed up at the beginning of the day on saturday. There was a "celebrity symposium". It was awful. Mickey Dolenz droning on for an hour and a half bored us to tears and we left. I mean he's a Monkee, not even a Beatle. But it was just a long boring session of him talking in his monotone voice with people asking him questions. I really don't get why he was there in the first place. If there was any music playing we would have hung out and enjoyed ourselves. But man.... this was not good.
I never found a parking spot after driving around for nearly an hour. $100 down the drain. We were really looking forward to it. I won’t be going back again.
Show was very entertaining. Bands were good but the orchestra was the iceing on the cake. It was great that the weather held out so it was a great night to be outdoors. Food vendors were interesting but the quacamole stand Quaca Go was truly top notch. Keep up the goid work
Great show and venue, perfect weather and great food.
Thanks so much for a wonderful day on Friday. Loved the setting in the Old Scholl Square, and Micky Dolenz was amazingly excellent! The Israel, Brazil and Finland opening bands were great too.
This was an incredibly well organized event. The music was awesome! Great bands and there were many of them! The venues were wonderful, very casual! There were lots of volunteers to take tickets so there was never a traffic flow problem. Excellent food trucks on site at Old School Square where the main events were staged. Everyone had fun and was friendly.
My wife and I, and our couple friends, really enjoyed the weekend festival. From the poolside subdued jams at the Hyatt, the numerous bands playing at various bars/locations throughout the city, to the headliner concerts on Friday and Saturday nights, it was a terrific music lovers weekend. Things appeared to be generally well run and we are sure it took some Herculian efforts to get the whole thing off the ground and through the long weekend. Our only disappointments were (1) the dockside yacht that apparently cancelled on Deck 84 for its Friday gathering for Beatles on the Beach participants and (2) the more than one hour delay in getting the Celebrity panel off the ground on Saturday a weather-threatening day. We had other plans by 2:30 so we had to leave before it ever got started. But, small disappointments during an otherwise very enjoyable festival.
We were at the 2019 festival with Edgar Winter and both nights were just fantastic. This festival was a little disappointing. First of all-AN HOUR BETWEEN ACTS??? This was terrible. Instead of walking around spending money at the vendors, we wound up leaving and then going back. This would be a reason not to go next year. Friday night Mickey Dolenz knocked it out of the park, we loved it, great stories great music. Saturday night the music was a let down. The energy level of the orchestra which was not that good-the choice of songs? The Beatles have amazing hi energy music which was not done. I want to hold your hand? She loves you? What happened?? Midway people were starting to leave. For next year, I hope you get another headliner and leave much less time between acts.
If you like The Beetles, this is a must see event. Well organized and lot's of fun. Not just concerts, but numerous fun activities. Daniel is the consummate host.
Firstly they made no arrangements for the weather and it rained. I was upset that the main act was close to an hour late. He was to start at 7 pm.
Only saw Micky Dolenz. Great show. The crowd loved him doing Monkees songs with related stories. They also loved the musicians, and Coco singing “A different drummer,” written by Nes, a late Monkee, and rejected by Monkee’s producer. In the latter part of the act, when Micky did Beatles hits, hardly anyone could stay in their seats 😁
Mickey Dolenz was incredible and the surprise Beatles songs were great ! Rocky Racoon is one my 12 yo loved since he was 2 years old !
The 2022 festival was inferior to previous years. The last festival provided entertainment in numerous places throughout town whereas this year only had bands in the square. We walked up to the square on Saturday morning for the Beatles dog show but there were no dogs or show. This year was disappointing and my group will not be back unless the format changes.
We were thoroughly disappointed with the concert for the Beatles on the beach on Friday night. The band was dreadful they started an hour and a half late they played almost no music and the concert was more of a biography about the Monkees singer. We totally threw out our money for a concert that did not even respect the investment. We would like a full and complete refund and we are leaving terrible reviews I felt totally ripped off we paid $75 a ticket for that service bad seats that entry late there were no good concessions there was nothing good about beetles on the beach it was a total bomb
Overall a fun experience. Gates opened at 4 but Micky Dolenz didn’t come on until about 7:30. We arrived at 6:30. It wasn’t clear who or what other bands were playing at gate opening time which means that we missed a lot of music. A better schedule, with times and names of performers would have been helpful. There were a few food vendors and a bar selling drinks. We sat on the lawn with our own chairs which was fine. Really enjoyed Dolenz’s performance …perhaps fewer old stories and more singing but hey, the guy is 77. The venue was good, sound and lighting good…the biggest problem was they only had one entrance and used for exit as well and it was not advertised at all which meant we had to walk a complete circle around the venue to find a way in and to leave after the show.
overall the music and experience were great. we found parking but wish there was a free large parking area with shuttles to the events. seating was good but the chairs were not at all comfortable. food selection was good but wish there were snack options like popcorn, etc. seating available to sit down and eat would be nice. we would highly recommend this event to everyone.
Great local event with some great performers. Beatles bands were amazing and having some special guests perform drew a good crowd.
This special event was incredible! A Beatles tribute band backed by a 40 piece orchestra. Held at a local outdoor amphitheater, this was a truly amazing event. I hope this comes back next year.
We traveled to the beautiful city of Delray Beach Thursday, got checked into the hotel very easily then made our way downtown. The event started Thursday with a giant street party with live music, great food, picture ops and plenty of local businesses joining in. The concerts were amazing, the other venues all over town had great food, service, live music and wonderful people from all over the world. We couldn’t even get to everything because there was so much to do; putt putt, trivia, brunches, sand sculptures, art museum even yoga. The whole town was a part of this festival and it was a blast! We can’t wait to go again next year.
