About

When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

  • The Fray and Jack's Mannequin were AMAZING!

by smintz on 7/15/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great concert to attend. Both bands were amazing to watch in person. The only bad part of this concert is that it was outdoors and it rained like no other once The Fray went on.

  • The Fray was FABULOUS

by Meghann555 on 7/15/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Chastain is my favorite venue of all time. It ended up downpouring, but the band played on and most of the fans stuck around, even with lightning. It was a GREAT GREAT night!

I loved it !!! It was amazing they sound exactly the same as they do on a cd!! It was my birthday present!!! The only problem is that i poured the whole time so i was really dissappointed about that~! But other than that it was incredible!!

  • AWESOME!!!

One word - Incredible! The FRAY is AWESOME! The Thunderstorm came and went and the Fray ROCKED THE HOUSE thru it all. The guys are some of the SMARTEST and best entertainers in the biz today - great stage presence, great interaction with the audience, perfect music, perfect vocals. The best concert in a long time!

  • The Fray was one soggy event

by Lisalovesmoney on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

It hadn't rained in weeks, but this very night the rain fell hard and fast during the entire Fray show. It was fun sitting under the umbrella for the first 30 minutes but after awhile it became too wet and soggy. I will wait and purchase future Chastain tix closer to the actual event so i don't get rained out again,

  • Wet and Wild

by MrMan on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

So I'd definitely recommend seeing The Fray live. They have a great set list and the stage cool. Sadly they don't deviate much from the recorded versions of the songs, but for those that enjoy going to concerts to hear the song done almost exactly like the track then you'll love the show. The show was at an amphitheater and it poured down rain for at least half an hour or so. The Fray had a good die-hard crowd, so at least 40% of the concert goers stuck around and danced in the rain while The Fray continued to play. Bottom line, if you like The Fray then this tour is definitely worth checking out. Especially if it comes to a good venue.

  • The Fray was freakin amazing!

by Tinkboo on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely loved the concert! It was full of excitement and on top of that, to make it even better it started raining! The crowd was full of energy and the fray sounded jjust like they do on their albums! I couldn't stop smiling after it ended.

  • An amazing evening

by L2Mom on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Chastain is always s great venue for any show. This was an awesom show from start to finish in spite of a long, heavy thunderstorm. Jack's Mannequin and the Fray played long sets. They interacted with the crowd. There was a lot of energy and a show to remember!

  • Even in the Rain, The Fray rocked!!

by BCBAjen on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

It started raining about 5 minutes into the show, but even the nasty weather couldn't dampen the mood at Chastain Park. From the first notes of "Happiness" it was electric. The Fray were AWESOME! They sound the same live as they do on their CDs which is pretty hard to do in the age of digital retouching. I would recommend seeing The Fray to anyone.

  • The Fray was phenomenal!

by Charis on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Not only was the venue beautiful (even though I should have brought a cushion for my pregnant butt), but the staff was very polite. The performance of The Fray was one of the best that I have seen. The PA equipment was not the best (not a lot of bass/low end sound), but that was the venue's PA, I guess. I don't know if it was the rain, lightening or the fantastical light show, but the concert was transformed from a performance into an experience that my husband and I will not forget.

  • The Fray Lit Up The Sky

by MBen8r on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first time seeing The Fray live. They were better than expected and would have been a concert to remember for the ages, except for the heavy rain and lightning that never let up the entire night at Chastain Park, Atlanta. They are talented musicians with a special sound. I especially enjoyed the amazing vocals of lead singer, Isaac Slade. I plan on attending a future The Fray concert in Atlanta, but only if it's a covered venue.

  • Unforgettable

by Meninopreto on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

It was a phenomenally phenomenal experience listening to “The Fray” live. Isaac Slate’s voice was breath taking and his band incomparable. Thoughts of nostalgia bring back those precious few hours of singing every song with them and dancing in torrential downpour. I am actually going to see them again in Santa Barbara and I cannot wait!!

  • The Fray: Awesome Concert in the Rain

by GAgirl62 on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

They sounded great, the venue was great, and the ambience was topped off by the downpour of rain. Could not have asked for a better show.

  • The Fray was unbelievable

by raiderlove58 on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The day was hot and the rain was questionable. The Fray came out and got about 2 songs in when mother nature had her fury. It rained, it poured, lightning struck but that did nothing to the Fray. They continued to play and we continued to listen. It was an unbelievable show. There are no more words to describe them they are just so wonderful. I was lucky enough to meet them after the show. I was soaked but they were so friendly.

  • It stormed the whole Fray performance

by Jackeeo on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The band The Fray seemed to be a great band, however it stormed with lightning etc. This was about the sixth concert I have been to at this park and the first time I brought my teenagers and the first time it stormed during a performance.

  • There Goes the Downpour

by tmilesgantt on 7/14/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter and I experienced this concert in a thunderstorm, along with a lot of other crazy people in Atlanta, because we just couldn't leave. It was truly a magnficent, spiritual experience. The lightning and rain just seemed to add to the energy and meaning of the performance. The band members said "We'll stay as long as you do," and they sang their hearts out. When the lightning struck, the crowd would just clap harder and sing along louder, and when The Fray sang "Vienna," everyone anticipated the line, "There goes the downpour." My daughter and I even risked our cell phones and cameras in the rain, confirming with each other that we'd rather just get replacements than miss these moments. She said it was the best concert she'd ever been to, and that alone it the best concert I've ever been to. Love has a way of doing that. "So this is your maverick .... Thanks to the Fray and Ticketmaster.
