When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

I had a great time at the concert with my sister. This was my first time seeing them live and they put on a great show!
I brought my girlfriend to the concert for her birthday. Both of us were not expecting much from Jack's Mannequin. We were both pleasantly surprised when they put on a great show. The lead singer was very energetic, up and down repeatedly from the top of his piano. This is the fourth time seeing The Fray. We've seen them everytime they have been to Michigan. As usual The Fray put on an awesome show. Great graphics, lighting and sound. The whole group was very animated about the show. You could tell that they loved being up on stage. The Fray is also into crowd participation.
Loved the venue, the cool night really helped with the normally unbearable heat of summer outdoor concerts. Jack's Mannequin was so good, McMahon went crazy. The Fray was so good live. The light show complemented nicely. All of their voices were very powerful!
I love The Fray and have seen them live before several times, but in smaller venues. I wasn't sure how it would translate at a bigger venue, but I had a great seat and it was amazing. Their music is so real and they are incredible performers. If you are a fan of their music, I wouldn't hesitate to check them out live.
I've seen the Fray every year they have toured, and that will continue as long as they are touring.
I loved this show. Seeing it at the DTE energy theatre was fantastic! Cheap lawn seats made the whole experience great! Both bands were great! I was a little sad that more emphasis was put on the fray when i really like both bands Overall one of the best shows i've ever seen. Both bands sounded great live!
Definitely met expectations. The music was great, of course, and the performance was entertaining to watch. Played a satisfying selection of music. They opened and closed with Happiness, which I wasn't a big fan of, but the circular idea was neat. Played a 4 song encore, including a nice solo by King. The lights and graphics were very complicated and a little distracting at times, but at others really fit with the feeling of the music. Overall, would recommend this show for all levels of fans.
While I love the Fray, I was a little disappointed in this years concert at DTE in Clarkston, MI. Two years ago I attended their show at the same venue and found it fun and upbeat. When I pruchased tickets this year, I was somewhat disappointed. While their past record was more upbeat in introducing them the new album could have put us to sleep! The show sparked less interest as their only songs that wanted to make you sing along or dance we ones from their previous album and a show I had already seen. Needless to say I left early and was disappointed my friends and I had purchased the tickets. Summer concerts are supposed to be fun and make you remember the good times. That won't be happening this year.
the bands were great! we had super seats. but the open seats in front of us, people kept sneaking into, then grabbing their friends and talking them into doing the same. i guess i am getting old because there was probably a time that i would have done the same thing....
It was really great! They sound the same as they do on their CDs. Amazing light show as well :D
It was one of the best Concerts I have been to in sometime and we had the perfect seats !!
The concert was great...just a little short! Would def. see the Fray again!
Fantastic show....and the rain, lightening and thunder made it even better
okay so seriously this concert was so legit. it was one of the best concerts i've been to in my entire life. jack's mannequin was so great. they gave little introductions before each song. the fray was awesome awesome awesome. they were even better live! they totally amazed me. every song they sang gave off great vibes. i would definitely see them again!
THey played all the songs from their CD plus the new songs not release yet (accustic version of heartless etc). All around amazing concert. Merriweather is a fun venue.
Great show; I was amazed that the pavillion seats weren't sold out. I took all 4 of my daughters and enjoyed it as much as them. They have improved their stage presence since last year. Sound was great lots of energy. They must be a secret, a known secret.
Me and my boyfriend were SO close to the stage after purchasing pit tickets! Jacks Mannequin was INCREDIBLE as always (have seen them/something corporate 11 times now!) & the fray was also amazing! I really loved the lighting for the fray's concert - the stage looked amazing!! overall a great experience - but my advice is dont get merriweather cheeseburgers - they are dry! but the beer washed em' down well :)
the fray was amazingg!! they sound EXACTLY THE SAME as i would hear them on my ipod or on the radio to me, most singers don't sound as goiod without the "special effects" but the fray was hands down great. They're music was really soothing and i had an amazing time at theyre show especially isnce i was fornt row!
This was only my second concert after going to the DC 101 chili cookoff earlier in the summer, and it was a lot of fun. I would recommend seeing the fray whenever you can (if you like their music of course). They played fantastically and it was a great time at Merriweather post.
I was very excited to get to see Jack's Mannequin here in Atlanta. Chastain Ampitheatre was a perfect venue. This was an amazing concert for an up and coming band. I didn't stay for The Fray, but at the same time i was lucky enough to run into JM's lead singer Andrew McMahon out side of the concert because i left early. WOW i was completely ecstatic. This was one concert for the books.
