About

When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

The Fray and Jack's Mannequin was so amazing and unforgettable. They played for a long time and played all of their top songs. I would go again for sure!

  • The Fray was great!

The Fray just keeps keeps getting better and better with their live performances and stage presence. Jack's Mannequin was also very good and made for a fun and entertaining combination. Keep up the good work guys!

  • JM rocked, the fans did not

by JMfan on 7/17/09PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 1 out of 5

Only praises to the artist. Jack's Mannequin once again performed a spectacular show. The vehement passion exuded by lead singer Andrew M swept over us and forced us to sing along even louder. The fans and workers of the event, however, were disgraceful. Almost no one stood during JM and I was told repeatedly to sit down. To sit down! Given the strict rules enforced by Riverbend employees, I will certainly never attend another concert at PNC Pavilion.

  • The Fray at the DTE in Clarkston, MI

The Fray was great, but I would have liked to have heard less from the backup groups and more from the Fray.

From the moment they went on stage, The Fray captivated you. They were the best concert I have seen and hope to see them again. Definitely recommend seeing them.

  • Concert kicked ass!

    by iLuvtheFRAY09 on 7/17/09Merriweather Post Pavilion - ColumbiaRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely LOVE the Fray, and was completely stoked to finally get to see them live. It was an added bonus to also see Jacks Mannequin perform. Both bands did an amazing job, and I would recommend this concert to anyone who likes good music, and awesome entertainment!

  • The Fray was unbelievable!!

by Fraylover on 7/17/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

This was by far one of the best concerts I have ever been to...Both the Fray and Jack's Mannequin sound exactly like they do on their recordings. I have heard of Jack's Mannequin before this concert, but never really listened to a lot of their songs. After this concert, I downloaded all of their music and listen to it everyday. The Fray sang all of my favorite songs. I love all of their music and wish they could have performed it all, but the concert can't be 6 hours. I loved when the Fray left the stage after saying thank you and good night, everyone started screaming for them to come back, and they did! They did about 5 more songs and they were awesome! I hope I get a chance to go to another one of their concerts again!!!

  • The Fray/Jack's Mannequin ---Brilliant CONCERT!

    by jh1989 on 7/17/09PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was unbelievable. Both bands put on a fantastic performance. Jack's Mannequin was very in touch with the crowd and its fans. Their songs were 10 times greater live than any cd or radio play. The really did a amazing opening act for the Fray. The Fray's performance went beyond my expectations....their songs create such a great connection to the audience, and even more so live. Same with Jack's Mannequin, both bands make it clear that they are simply there to put on a great show for their fans..and thats exactly what they did. I wish these bands would come closer again to my hometown, as it was one of the greatest concerts i have been to up to date. The bands were great, the music was fantastic, the venue was clean and had very helpful and friendly workers...overall this is one concert that you shouldn't miss out on.

  • GREAT!

by queenofrhetoric on 7/17/09PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

This whole concert was absolutely great! I had never really listened to Jack's Mannequin, but they blew me away. I mainly attended because I have a deep love for the Fray, and this concert further solidified my love for them! Their stage presence was amazing and they sound just as good live as they do on an album, which is not always the case! I'd go back to see them any day!

  • The Fray = Amazing

by Mans on 7/17/09PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

I was blessed enough to win tickets to this event; however I gladly would have purchased them. The Fray has a way of expressing themselves and God's love through songs that make people feel their passion. It was an amazing show. And while the special effects and lighting were amazing, they could have just as easy had a lamp on stage the music and entire performance was fantastic!

  • The Concert of a Lifetime

by musiclover495 on 7/17/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Even though the rains start to come and the thunderstorms were overhead, The Fray continued to play throughout it all for the fans that stuck through it. The lighting show was only intensified as the lightning lit up the night sky during the show. It was like being enclosed in the show's lighting, sound, and atmosphere.

  • Fray and Jack's were awesommee live

by kattlynn on 7/17/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

Both The Fray and Jacke's Mannequin were amazing live, they put on great shows including creative use of stagelights, above stage camera screens, and jumping on pianos. Isaac kept the show going and Jack's Mannequin moved all along the stage, i love their active stage presence and style. They both spoke at times and shared of their love for Detroit which as always makes the crowd go wile because Detroit is awesome.

by Suneside on 7/17/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

As always, they were spectacular. Although I enjoyed when the were playing St. Andrew's Hall, you can't beat being in the front row at a small venue.

Went to see Jack's Mannequin & they were amazing as always. Ended up leaving with a lot more respect for The Fray. I have all their albums but wasn't a HUGE fan..they put on quite a show, though.

  • I LOVE THEM!

This was my 3rd time in a year span seeing Jack's Mannequin! I absolutely love him and when I found out he was coming with The Fray, it added even more to my excitement. It was a very chill, relaxing concert and I definitely reccomend it. Loved that I had lawn seats and could just sit back, drink, relax, and listen to great music. GO SEE THEM!
