About

When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

Jacks Mannequin was a great opener to the fray. They brough energy to the crowed and the lead singers ability to use the stage was great. The fray was just incredible. there stage lighting and abilitly to welcome the audiance wasperfect. The fans just wanted more of the fray so they played encores! i will be going back next summer if there is a tour!

Everything about this event was amazing... the venue... the band and their performance. I had an awesome night and would definitely return to watch them again!

  • Both bands were worth every penny!

by Youngun on 7/18/09Chastain Park Amphitheatre Peter Conlon Presents - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

It poured on us seventy five percent of the concert and no one cared! And to think these two were on the same bill! Would see them both again in a second!

  • The Fray Rocked!

by golfnff on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show! What can I say....everything we hoped for and more. Opening bands were excellent and The Fray iced the cake. They sounded every bit as good live as they do in the studio which is quite a compliment to the band. Great entertainers and performers with good stage presence.

  • The Fray was fantastic!!

by Kitster on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing! The light and stage tech fit each of the songs perfectly, and we got a variety of songs from slow to rockin' out. The best part is that they sounded as good as if not better than they do on their albums. They were considerate and used clean language even in "Sin City." Loved it!

  • Fray!

by Pange on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Overall, all three acts did really well. Meese was a solid opening act to set the tone for the night. Jack's killed it on the piano. The opening and closing song for the The Fray was really cool- it was interesting that they opened and closed with the same song. Their cover of "Heartless" showed how talented they truly are. The images displayed on the screens were a good choice. I liked the lighting too, except at some points it was REALLY bright. In the end, it was awesome.

  • The Fray was amazing!

    by FrayFan12 on 7/18/09Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the whole concert. All the band's were great and The Fray is my favorite band of all time, so naturally I loved them. I just wish they would have played a little longer, rather than having over half the show taken by Jack's Mannequin and the other opener. I like Jack's Mannequin but I paid to see The Fray and I wish there was a little more of them. But overall I loved the performances and I definitely want to go back.

  • Don't miss the Fray and Jack's Mannequin

by mle314 on 7/18/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

There is nothing bad I can say about The Fray or Jack's Mannequin, the opening act had a significant attitude problem and was rude to the audience. It was all uphill from there. Talent and presentation, a great show!

  • YAY for the FRAY!

by nikkiG on 7/18/09Merriweather Post Pavilion - ColumbiaRating: 4 out of 5

the show was great!! all three bands were amazing. richard swift kicked off the show as a special guest and was easily loved by the audience. the piano was a big part of the music played by all of them, and the lead singers of both the fray and jack's mannequin managed to get up on top of the pianos during their performances and get the audience going even more. The Fray began their performance by having Isaac stand on stage alone in a spotlight singing a portion of the song "Happiness" a capella, and ended the show with the full band version of the song. it just tied the whole performance together really well. for fans of the fray or jack's mannequin, it's definitely a MUST SEE!!!

  • Jack's Mannequin was Amazing!!!

by JecaChan on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Jack's Mannequin was amazing (as always). Best part of my stay in Vegas! I recommend that anyone who has the oppurtunity to see them live they totally should!! The Fray was good also, but I went for Jack's Mannequin.

  • Excellent Concert

by RickyRicardo on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Got there to see the closing of the opening act (who was pretty good), then got to see a full hour of Jack's Mannequin, which was very lively and an awesome prelude to The Fray! They played all their popular songs and were quite entertaining to watch live in concert. (Would pay to see just them perform in concert again.) Then, the Fray came out and played for an hour and a half. Thought the concert would be somewhat slow and relaxed, but was quite pleased to see an energetic set! The Fray played all of their hits and then a good amount of their second CD...really amped up many of their songs for concert! Would love to have them record a live CD, much like Dave Matthews does! Only complaint was the amount of people who were there only to party and not to listen to the music.

  • The Frey

by cubby787 on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

One of the Best Concerts I have seen in a long time! AWESOME!!! All 3 bands were GREAT! Meese put on a knockout performance and was happy to learn they were from my hometown Colorado along with the fabulous Fray! Seeing Joe King up on stage in his band The Fray is so amazing because once he used to be one of the youth group leaders at my church; Faith. All in all, this concert was beyond amazing and everyone looked so snazzy up on stage ;-) First time I ever heard of Jacks Manequin and certainly not the last! :-)

  • The Fray is the bomb!

by LVEdwardo on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Jacks Maniquin was an outstanding opening act, the Fray was great, I wished they started a bit eariler. The 8pm show went till 11:30 pm! Music, lighting and sound was superb. We had floor, standing tickets so we got within 6 or 8' of the stage!

  • The Fray was the best I've seen in a while

by Bhouse on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The Fray was the best concert I've seen in a while. They're performance was incredible. Unlike a lot of other bands they sound perfect live. The Pearl at the Palms is definetely the place to see a concert small and intimate, yet sounds great. The 2 opening acts were extremely entertaining as well.

  • The Fray was Phenonomenal!!!!

by StringGirl on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to several concerts and the Fray is beyond a great show! They are all true musicians. The group knows how to connect with their audience.

  • The Fray was Amazing

by Amoney on 7/18/09Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

This was by far their best concert! I have been to all three at summerfest and this one just blew me away. It did help that i was in the 5th row and to the right of Issac.

  • The Fray put on an AMAZING show!

by TheBs on 7/18/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This was our third Fray concert and the best so far! We loved that Isaac stood to sing for the first part of the concert and then sat at his piano. It was great to see him up and moving around for a while. He is very entertaining and it seemed that the performance was fun for him as well. Joe (I think) also did an awesome job on vocals. They played so many songs from both albums. We had a fabulous time! It was my favorite Fray concert so far.
