About

When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

  • The Fray, simply amazing

    by klh84 on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

The prelim groups were solid. Nothing special, but a good warm up for the main show. The Fray came out with a bang and didn't waste any time getting the crowd ready. They started out with a couple of hits and then slowed things down with some more melo songs. They then ramped it up again with some of their more upbeat hits and then came back for an encore with some remakes. Great show!!!

  • The Fray was excellent

On a blanket under the stars with The Fray - doesn't get any better than that

  • Incredible.

Being a huge fan of both Jack's and the Fray, seeing them together was amazing. It was well worth it the price of admission.

  • Jacks Mannequin & the Fray put on a moving concert

Played there hit songs from their new and old albums. All ages attended and everyone was on their feet singing along.

  • The Fray was good.

by DallasAdMan on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

The Fray put on a good show. Not great, but good. But that's what I expected from them, so no negative comments from me. I only really like 4-5 of their songs and the rest are ones to which I can just chill. The set list for the evening was pretty good. They played some of their best songs from their two albums. The Fray are a good band to relax to when sitting out on the lawn. "You Found Me" was really good, but the story told behind the lyrics to "How To Save a Life" was the highlight of the evening.

  • Can't wait to see them again!

Really good! I would love to see them again, just somewhere other than superpages!

  • The fray were great guys and unbelievable musician

by Strucht on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

The music was great! If they messed up at all i didnt notice andthe lead singer gave a hell of a performance. Not only could he sing but he knew to talk to the crowd. I liked how they would shine the lights on us so he could see who he was singing to. Secound favorate concert of all time.

  • Lights, Seats, Gorgeous Noise

by fantasticshow on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

It was amazing. We had lawn seats and so we just chilled while watching Jack's Mannequin and then we found a $5 upgrade available and we took it! So we moved up WAAYYY close in the pavilion and it was fantastic. We finished off Jack's Mannequin and the Fray and the whole show was superub. The venue was great and the music was beyond par. Thanks so much!

  • The Fray

I am a huge Fray fan! It was a great show other than the ending. They didn't play for long enough and after playing didn't come back for an encore.

  • The Fray with Jack's Mannequin

    by Tina7 on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

Would love for the Fray to have started a hour earlier. Why is it that the favored group - the one we are really paying to see can't get on the stage before 9pm...??? I would rather hear the main group early and be finished earlier it that is the case than hear 3 other different bands first...

  • The Fray was amazing!

by MountainGirl on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great. Great sound, great song selection, great band! The only thing I would change is that they would play longer. The show ended way too soon. They were awesome!

  • The Fray sounded great!

    by mels6320 on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

My favorite thing about going to a concert is when the band sounds as amazing in person as they do on their album. Too many "artists" these days only sound good because of the amazing editing their producers do in the studio. This is not the case with the Fray. They sounded great, played all of my favorite songs, and I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Their set was amazing as well. Overall great concert and even Jack's Mannequin, who I had never heard of before, wasn't too bad. I would definitely recommend this concert!

  • The Fray was so so

by Chivo on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

I was disappointed that they came out so late and really only performed for an hour. The concert was supposed to start at 7:00 and The Fray did not come out until around 9:00 pm.

  • Best Concert EVER!

by Jordano on 7/24/09Target Center - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I haven't been to many concerts, but this concert was AMAZING! The opening band Meece was extremely good for an opening band. In fact, I plan on purchasing their album soon. Jack's Mannequin, my favorite band of all time, did more than impress me - they were SO great live! And finally, The Fray surprised me at even though I don't know much of their music, I was so mesmerized by how good they were live too, and the lights/video screens rocked!

  • Go Andrew

by DHod on 7/24/09Target Center - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

Jacks Mannequin was much better than the Fray. Andrew is a better performer, his songs are more interesting and never sound the same. If he had a stronger voice, Jack's M would headline. The Fray really are rather boring after watching Andrew perform.

  • The Fray w/Jack's Mannequin was PHENOMENAL!!

    by Kate683 on 7/24/09Target Center - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This was by far the best show I've seen in the last few years. The opening band Meese was brilliant (although no one knew how to spell their name because they weren't listed so it took some internet research to find it). They perfectly complimented the sounds of Jack's Mannequin and the Fray. Jack's was next and they were A+ as usual. I've never seen a bad performance. Andrew is the consummate performer. The Fray took the stage following an abnormally long break (thanks for the bathroom and beer time boys) and it was not stop excellence. The encore was amazing and I'm still speechless 3 days later. I wish they would do a live cd/dvd because it would be worth every penny. Fantastic show. GO SEE IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jack's Mannequin. and the fray!

by sydneyyy on 7/24/09Target Center - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was honestly amazing, much better then the fray concert two years ago! Jack's mannequin are such good entertainers, and the fray's songs are over all incredible. I've never heard such a loud crowd after the fray left the stage! I'm so glad i was apart of it, anyone who wasn't there missed out big time!

  • WOW!

    by KQ09 on 7/24/09Target Center - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This was by far the BEST concert i have EVER been to! Right after i left the doors of the target center i wanted to go right back in them and watch the concert all over again! Jacks Mannequin and The Fray are AMAZING live! and if you get the chance to go to the show dont pass it up!

  • Jack's Mannequin is awesome.

    by Meg000009 on 7/24/09PNC PAVILION - CincinnatiRating: 3 out of 5

So I went to this concert simply to see Jack's Mannequin. The opening person "Richard Swift" was actually painful to sit through. It didn't help that when he first came on stage he said "under his breath" into the microphone "it's going to be one of those nights". Jack's Mannequin was awesome, as usual. I wish they would've played longer but they did play about a 50-minutes set which is fairly good for an opener. Now, I'm not a huge fan of The Fray, however, I will say they put on a good show. All the super big The Fray fans seemed happy. The Fray had a nice stage set-up/lighting effects.

  • The Fray was spectacular!!!

    by Cammie16 on 7/24/09Target Center - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I loved being able to see the fray live for the first time! They played some of my favorite songs which made the concert even better! I would love to see this concert again and recommend anyone who wants to go should go!
