About

When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

The concert was great. The sound quality was amazing you could hear the vocals and the music perfectly not a bad seat in the house and the effects were real cool

  • "And all at once, the crowd begins to sing..."

    by Desertrose1 on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was amazing! We both enjoyed it, especially the fact that there was a small number of bands, which meant that we didn't have to sit through two or three little-known opening acts. We were also pleasantly surprised when The Fray did an encore of multiple songs, which we thought was nice of them. We felt sorry for the people who left right before the encore!

  • Extremely entertaining and upbeat!

    by rubbersoul757 on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

For new and old fans alike, this concert was extremely fun. The opening band, Meese, had some fun head-bobbing tunes that got you warmed up for Jack's Mannequin. Jack's Mannequin played their hits and kept the crowd pumped and entertained. The Fray communicated with the crowd and got everyone on their feet. The combination of the three bands made for a great concert!

The Fray put on an absolutely amazing show! They were just as wonderful, if not better, live. They intereacted with the crowd and overall just put on a great performance.

I wasn't quite sure if I was going to enjoy the concert or not due to reading other reviews of people saying The Fray was boring. I thought once they finally started their part of the concert they were wonderful and entertaining. Jack's Mannequin was good too!

  • The Fray was AH-MAZING.

by JCPenny on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The Fray's performance was hypnotizing with their amazing musical ability and audience interaction. The one letdown was the amount of smoking in the venue, however the performance itself was fabulous. They're a band definitely worth seeing again.

Good show. The Fray acted like they were done playing after not even an hour....but then proceeded to play about 6 more songs...so it ended up being about an hour and a half show. It was fun- nothing too amazing, but definitely entertaining.

  • The Fray made my day!!! :-)

  • The Fray- not great

    by dld5 on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

The Fray's Friday concert was not the way we wanted to spend a Friday nite. We went to see the Fray a few years ago and they were great. We saw Coldplay a few days before- the 2 just do not compare.

  • It was just "okay"

I thought the show itself was pretty good, the fray was awesome. But it was way too short.

Best concert I've been to in a while. The band sounded phenomenal. They actually sounded better than the cd, which I thought would be impossible. They are so talented and amazing performers. You'll be missing out if you skip this show.

  • The Fray was AMAZING!!!

by babyblues on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I love this band and they are just as good or better in person as they are on my IPOD. The strong and sexy vocals of Isaac Slade...impeccable! Jack's Mannequin rocked the house too. Loved it!

  • Superiority has no bounds

by Thrash on 7/25/09Superpages.com Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The evening started with a bang as Meese, a new band from Denver, took the stage. They rocked out with their major drum beats, melodic piano mixes and superior guitar playing. Check them out! Next on stage, Jack's Mannequin was as brilliant as ever! They are excellent artists who keep bringing fresh tunes. The Fray was the show-stopper of course! These guys are true people and you can feel their passion oozing through their music. I've been a fan of theirs (and Meese) since day one, way back when they were playing little coffee shops in Denver. They have grown tremendously in their talents and are still producing fantastic shows!
