About

When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

  • American Authors Stole the show!

by LeslieJo3287 on 10/31/16House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

The Fray did an amazing job, but American Authors stole the show! Their enthusiasm and sound was so spot on! Love this venue and can't wait to schedule another trip to the House of Blues!

  • American Authors should have been headliner

by ValGMusicFan on 10/31/16House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert, but I think American Authors should have been the headliner. Much more exciting than The Fray. After a while, The Fray's songs start to sound the same. Overall, good concert, but certainly could have used more of the American Authors!

Fray concert was outstanding. American Authors were great in the frame brought down the house.

  • The Fray gave me all the feels!

    by dddg81 on 10/26/16The Foundry - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I can't say enough words to explain the experience I had at this concert. First, I have to acknowledge the venue. My first time at The Foundry, and I was pleasantly surprised on how nice it was. Great atmosphere, and not too big or too small! Second, and most importantly, The Fray was incredible. The second they went on stage, their presence was magnifying. The set was a wide range of their previous songs, they even played a good number of none singles. I really appreciated them including the lesser known songs, it makes longtime big fans, like myself, able to get a different feel for those songs. I was overcome with insurmountable joy, when they played Vienna. Vienna is one of my very favorite songs, and I haven't heard it live in all the 5 previous times I have seen The Fray in concert. Overall, as you can probably guess, I was very pleased with this concert experience.

  • The Fray was spectacular!!!!

Not only a great set list but amazing energy. These are true artists!

  • Sound Crew Either Deaf or Asleep!

by IDigMusic2 on 10/24/16Morongo Casino Resort and Spa - CabazonRating: 1 out of 5

The concert was in a ballroom with maybe 2 thousand seats, but the sound crew was operating as if they were in a stadium. It was way, way, way too loud for such a small space. Aside from being too loud overall, the mix was poor. The drums were glaringly louder than anything else in the mix. The piano, while understandably a focal instrument for this band, was so loud it overshadowed Isaac's vocals which were hard to hear in the mix. The Fray is a decent band, they performed well and if the overall volume and mix were better it would have been a decent show. As it was, the show was a disaster and we walked out disappointed and with our ears ringing. Even my wife, for whom the Fray is a favorite, agreed we never need to see them live again after this intolerable show.

Concert was awesome. The Fray are amazing! Wish the area would have been bigger, and occasionally it was a little difficult to hear the vocals over the music, but overall it was a great experience.

  • Just what I was looking for

I was looking for a show where I would enjoy the music - stand and dance a little- sir and chill a little. This was perfect. Just what I was looking for.

  • The Fray was Phenomenal!

  • Good but not GREAT

by VicTerrific on 10/21/16The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

The band sounded GREAT, just like their records/albums sound. Only knocks is they didn't have as much energy or crown interaction as I thought they could/should have. It felt they were just there ti punch a clock, get paid & get out. The Masonic is a great venue, however. It felt like every seat in there was a good seat. No complaints there.

  • The Fray (opening act American Authors)

by Anonymous on 10/18/16Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

American Authors as the opening act for the Fray was incredible! Upbeat and lively, their songs are great. When the Fray actually came on, everyone was really excited. I liked how the Moore was a tight-knit theater that can easily house and resonate the sound quality of the concert so that everyone can enjoy :) Not too far and not too loud, it was just right. I hope they come to town again! Both bands are pretty good and it was a great experience to witness.

  • Our 5th concert, the best so far.

    by Isis915 on 10/18/16Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The Fray is my favorite band and I've seen them live 5 times now. This was my favorite set, they played everything! We met them before the show and told them Look After You was our wedding song and they changed their set to include it for us. Great guys who were basically my therapists through the worst year of my life. I'll see them anytime and everytime they come to Washington state. Thank you!

I really regretted getting tickets to see the Fray at Summerfest, next time I will see them somewhere else.I had people next to me singing, young people who didn't know a lot of their music around me. I would prefer to see them in a smaller venue next time. They sounded great and put on a great concert!

  • Was a good concert

by Gecko32123 on 8/27/15Illinois State Fairgrounds Il State Fair - SpringfieldRating: 4 out of 5

Andy Grammar was the opening act and I don't know why he can't just be the head liner. He put on an amazing show. We've seen him open for Train and the Fray and never disappoints. The Fray was good but back in the stands you couldn't hear his voice that well until the slower songs. The band, however good, drowned out his voice. I would give Andy Grammar 5 stars, The Fray was good just wish I could hear the singer better.

  • Amazingly awesome

    by Hbk2015 on 8/25/15Missouri State Fair - SedaliaRating: 5 out of 5

It was better than I expected, Andy Grammer rocked it and The Fray was awesome and together they delivered one hell of a show. I drove 4 and 1/2 hours for this concert and I'm still glad I did. Only annoying thing was the desperate and obnoxious girls in front of us that kept blocking the view with their childish acts.

  • Andy Grammer and the Fray were absolutely stunning

I loved the concert so much!!! They really know how to keep a crowd wild!
