About

When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

  • The Fray of a lifetime

Getting to meet the band was an experience I can't quite find words to express my happiness. They are one of the greatest bands in my lifetime point blank.

  • Great Show!

    by 2MusicFanatics on 11/13/16Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Overall The Fray put on an awesome show. I felt they were loud but often times not clear. Nonetheless they were phenomenal from start to finish. American Authors also put on a great show. All of their songs were catchy and they connected extremely well with the fans. Both bands are definitely worth seeing!

These guys rock! Weird that the house was not full though... more fun for us! New "best of" album as an added bonus!

  • Focus On Music NOT Politics!

    by MrEyes88 on 11/12/16Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

The Fray's music is excellent live. They are truly talented musicians. But, their music is not the kind to dance to or jump around to. This made it very annoying when people in front of us refused to sit down. I would not have minded if they were at least dancing, but they were just standing there obstructing my view. I was also disgusted by the political comments made by American Authors. I was there to enjoy a show. I have had enough of the entire Trump/Hilary controversy & I didn't need to hear it from a bunch of musicians. I was so turned off by them that I now refuse to buy their new CD or support their group.

  • Great Show....a 4.5 experience.

by GrafixKingz on 11/12/16Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I loved both bands. Thought American Authors performed really well...however i was disappointed in one thing...sound and display for the first act. I was impressed with how well American Authors complimented the sound of the Fray. The show started exactly on time, but for a platinum group opening for a super group like the Fray...i felt they were given mediocre sound, they felt like openers for an opener. Threw me off a bit. Overrall the Beacon Theatre was a great treat. Not too packed, nice staff, good drinks, awesome theater look. Would definitely go back. Both bands were great.

I saw The Fray on November 9, a day after the 2016 election. They completely changed the mood of around 2800 New Yorkers. It was clear, walking into The Beacon Theatre, that many of us were still in shock from the results (not trying to get political but we all know NY is a very democratic state). Their music resuscitated us and walking out of that theater, we shared a sense of community, a new perspective, and an incredible memory. I think I speak for everyone there that night when I say thank you.

  • Simply put...the best and most amazing performers!

by ANHXV on 11/12/16Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

They started on time, American authors were also great! The fray blew me away with their performance. They did not take one break and kept playing for more than three hours straight. They played most of their hits and even a few that were a bit new to me! They really are great people and they delivered exceptionally on their work! They made me so happy!

  • The Fray rocks!

    by LAE2014 on 11/12/16Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Every time I see The Fray live I am reminded what marvelous musicians they are. At this concert, they played amazing different versions of their songs and almost all of my favorites. I even enjoyed their new material! All I want now is a whole CD of new Fray music. And of course, the Beacon is such a beautiful, classy venue.

Great concert, good play list and mix. Need better lighting on Isaac especially when he's playing the piano and singing.

  • Fray was terrific

The Fray gave a great performance doing all their hits and some songs we never heard before. The surprise was how good American authors were. Terrific show

  • Fray was loud and couldn't understand

    by TeeJay63 on 11/10/16Orpheum Theater - MadisonRating: 3 out of 5

To start off, American Authors were great! As for the Fray, they were led astray by sound engineer. Too loud and couldn't understand the singer. Left after 4-5 songs. I would recommend American Authors but not the Fray.

I just love these guys. The music is phenominal and their enthusiasm in their performances is so genuine. I especially liked the "acoustical" mini concert in the middle of their performance. GO SEE THEM!

The Fray was great! They played for almost 2 hours and played all of their most famous songs along with others. American Authors were great too!

Amazing. They sound even better in person and I was so happy with the songs they played. Pleasantly surprised with how long it was and how many they played. I've been a fan for flyer years and waiting for this was worth it.
