About

Colorado alternative rockers The Fray have given fans of Counting Crows and U2 a new generation of melodic rock anthems to call their own. With the release of their third studio album Scars & Stories in 2012, the band took an edgier approach to their songwriting, scoring hits with singles like “Heartbeat” and “Run for Your Life.” Despite more aggressive lyrical content, the piano-driven songs still found a soft spot in fans’ hearts, earning the album a No. 4 position on the Billboard 200. If Scars was successful, the band’s self-titled sophomore album was even more so, debuting at No. 1 upon its 2009 release and earning the band a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. Formed in the early 2000s by classmates from Denver’s Faith Christian Academy, The Fray’s 2005 debut How to Save a Life went double platinum, bringing them worldwide fame with the international success of its title track. On tour in 2013, the band has wowed ticket buyers with their impressive musicianship and emotionally genuine live concerts.

I don't know if their sound guy was bad, they didn't so sound check, or if they think it sounded good but the show was terrible. The music was so loud it was like a rock concert resulting in the singer needing to try and over compensate making his voice sound terrible. We actually left early because we couldn't listen to it anymore. I love them and will continue to listen to their music but it seems like they may be one of the bands who just does not sound good live.

Went to See American Authors - Loved the Fray, too

by RamboNerd on 11/23/16The Tabernacle - Atlanta

This show was completely enthralling, which is good because we traveled from Tampa to see it! Afterwards, we were lucky enough to meet Isaac of The Fray, and most of American Authors! It was totally worth the trip for myself and my 5 year old son (he was the one who really wanted to go).

    American Authors were AMAZING!

by hdbeezy on 11/23/16Orpheum Theater - Madison

So wonderful to have a venue such as the Orpheum Theater in Madison, WI for an up close and personal experience with such talent as the American Authors. Stage presence and sound was spot on. Loved it!! Can't wait to have the opportunity so see the American Authors live again. Unfortunately "The Fray" was a disappointment. We left after the 5th song. We stayed for 5 hoping it was going to get better but ultimately left. I love The Fray's music on the radio, but the sound at this event was awful. Lead singers voice was, well.....we thought painful.

Was a great show. The mini acoustic set was intimate and engaging. That was a nice way to change things up!

Such a great heartfelt show. The Fray is one the best bands I have ever seen performing live. Warning: If you're a sap like me, their earthy voices will have any die-hard fan bawling like a baby!

    Wonderful Performance!!!!!!!!!!!!

by PRINCEMUSICALGENIUS on 11/17/16Morongo Casino Resort and Spa - Cabazon

I took my 18 year old daughter to see The Fray at Morongo Casino a few weeks ago. Great venue. The Fray was incredible. You can see the passion they have for their music. The lead singer is incredibly talented. He feels the music that he sings and you leave Loving their music. If you weren't a fan already, you become a fan. Love their old music as well as their new songs.

    The Fray didn't disappoint!

by SaaddeeFan on 11/16/16The Tabernacle - Atlanta

This is my 3rd time to see The Fray! I love them and would go just about anywhere to see them perform. They sang all the songs I wanted to hear except one but I enjoyed myself and sang every song. I love Isaac Slade!!!! I called his name and he looked up and I waved and he gave me 2 thumbs up! I was just excited he saw me!! :)

The Fray brought back the oldies!

by Concerteer33 on 11/14/16The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I know this was their best hits tour, but they played some songs off of their first album that I've never even heard live and I've seen them four times. Always bring the energy and put on a great show.

    Go see the Fray

by Knuss126 on 11/14/16The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

When would we purchase tickets to go see the American authors and The Fray, I was just interested in finding something to do for the night. The Chicago Theatre provided a great setting for these performers in a very personal experience. The American authors did a decent job of getting people out of their chairs and ready for the main event. The Fray delivered an amazing performance, covering most of the more popular songs and the few that I'd never heard before. For the money, the venue was very hard to beat. I would highly recommend this to any of my friends for a personal experience with close ones.

    Good Fray show

by Zootiman on 11/14/16Beacon Theatre - New York

The American Authors did a nice opening show. I was not a big fan of The Fray. My wife turned me onto them. We went to see them when they opened for Train at PNC Bank Arts Center. I was blown away by how good they were and how many great songs they have. I was really looking forward to seeing them again at the Beacon. I was not disappointed.

    Amazing!

by BrendonPete on 11/14/16The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I loved it, but the Shazam app use for the meet and greet wasn't working for anyone so I was very disappointed because I wanted to meet American Authors and The Fray.

    VIP Tickets were a sham!!!

by Chrystian on 11/14/16The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

VIP Tickets were a sham. Did not get let in early. Did not get to go to private room nor received One free drink. IN fact stood outside for over an hour and was let in 10 minutes before the general public. Album was included with the tickets. Purchased two tickets got one album and you had to download it. It was not a mailed CD. Album would not download so that too was a bust.
