About

When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

  • Rude people standing

by Sc on 8/25/25Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 1 out of 5

Acoustics were too loud and hard to hear them singing clearly. Also, people standing to take live videos in the loge section blocking the view of all the people behind them and refusing to sit down when asked

  • They’re so sweet

by Cherish on 8/23/25The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

At the meeting greet, they gave me many hugs and loved my custom pants. They even took the gift that I gave them. When they said “20 years” and they repeated it while singing heaven forbid I lost it because it really has been 20 years. My soul was healed at this concert. This band literally saved my life at 13 years old. I’m forever grateful to them. I will see them again and again and again!! The Fray is back

  • Pick better openers, also bring Isaac back

by Missing Isaac on 8/22/25Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

The Fray as a group performed well, instrumentally speaking... but sadly the vocals aren't the same anymore without Isaac. Some good things don't last forever and - I hate to say it - the Fray falls in that camp. The opening acts? Would have been fine if not for the bass that nearly blew out my ear drums out for both openers. THERE IS NO NEED FOR THAT KIND OF BASS. Especially for poor Cassandra, her beautiful voice was just completely drowned out by what sounded like an earthquake happening every 30 seconds. Not to mention it just reflected on her poorly for thinking that much bass sounds good? The Fray needs to do a better job vetting their openers next time.

  • The Fray is Back!

by FlashJX on 8/22/25Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show in Seattle! Even without Isaac I still got all the nostalgia feels. Openers were great too! I was glad they were able to come out for the post-encore song.

  • Terrible sound system

by Lydia on 8/22/25Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

The Fray was great, but the sound/feedback was terrible! I have been to concert at the Paramount before and never have had this experience.

  • Excellent Venue and Great Band

by Kyle on 8/11/25The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I couldn't be more impressed with the staff at the Filmore. Friendly, helpful, and full of hospitality and energy. It was refreshing to feel. The Fray were great. I went to the Meet n Greet, and even though it was quick, the Band was friendly and gave a warm welcome and thank you. Kudos to the experience.

  • This was the best concert I have been too.

by Shawn on 8/11/25The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

This was so great. I am not much of a Fray fan than my wife is but man this was a great concert and experience.

  • Fun, But…..

    by cdj1524 on 8/9/25Rating: 4 out of 5

The Fray was AMAZING. For future reference though, almost 2 hours of openers was way too much. We almost left before they even came on just from the pounding headaches the openers caused us.

  • Great energy

The performance was amazing and the crowd was so much fun!

  • The Fray is back!!!

The Fray is still amazing 20 years later. They delivered an awesome performance.

  • Awesome Show!!!

by Rockstar fan on 8/5/25The Fillmore Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

The opening acts were alright. The Fray knocked it out of the park with energy, sound, entertainment, and crowd interaction. One of the best shows we've seen in a long time. Will go see them again!!!

  • I yearn to relive this time...

by LiDawg on 8/4/25Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

The Fray's songs have always been nostalgic to me, and I've become a pretty big fan over the past few years as I discovered more of their music. Learning of the departure of the original lead singer made me feel unsure if the concert experience would be worthwhile. HA! They absolutely blew me away. Joe's vocals were emotional, powerful, and fitting of the masterpieces presented. The musicians' clean playing and amazing showmanship created an environment that felt like I was immersed in a surround sound studio recording. The atmosphere they created just cannot be replicated. I highly recommend. Long live The Fray!

  • My Faves

by Izzy on 8/4/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second time seeing the Fray in concert and just as the first -they did not disappoint! I will make a point to see them every time they are in/near DC. The Anthem is also such a beautiful intimate venue. I love that the Fray chooses the smaller venues as well. No seat is truly a bad seat <3

  • The better show.

by isaiasgalicia on 8/4/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best moments with my favorite band, enjoyed from beginning to end.

  • The Fray did not disappoint

by RMF on 8/4/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Truly great concert. They put on quite a show. The new lead singer was incredible. He engaged the crowd very well. I've been a Fray fan for a long time and they did not disappoint. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. I thought Cassandra Coleman was great. I didn't particularly care for the Strike.

  • One of the best shows ever

by Tys on 8/4/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Shattered my expectations. Hands down one of the best performances I have ever been to.

Best concert ever honestly feels like a dream. Still go back to the videos and just in awe

  • Turn on the AC!!

by Aaron on 8/1/25Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

The Fray was great! However the venue was SO HOT. The whole floor was general admission standing room only, so I wasn’t expecting a ton of personal space. But people were crammed in, and the AC was not keeping up. It was way too hot. Everyone was fanning themselves and sweating like crazy. I honestly don't know how it can be safe to pack that many people together and not keep the room cooler than that. We told the staff about it several times. I saw others doing the same. But nothing ever changed. The only other issue was that the sound was never great for The Strike. I love that band and was disappointed that I could never really hear the vocals over the band. I guess they don't prioritize the sound for the opening band like they do the headliner.

  • Soul cleansing, life solidifying

by Bai on 8/1/25South Side Ballroom - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

From the opening acts to The Fray, truly exceptional performers. I never wanted to pull out my phone, my eyes were glued to the stage

  • Best time!

I love this venue and the staff! Everything was super organized and the sound system was great. 10/10 experience to see one of my favorite bands live!
