The Elders 10th Annual St Patrick's Day Hoolie

by Sarabell312 on 3/19/12Uptown Theater - Kansas City

The Elders 10th Annual St Patrick's Day Hoolie This band is a Kansas City favorite! This was their 2nd gig that day. Even so, they were full of energy! There is to be a video of the concert due out soon. Included in the evening were dances performed by The Driscoll School of Irish Dance and the Kansas City St Andrew Pipes & Drums.

The Elders high energy at it's best!

by JLR22 on 2/1/12Westcott Theater and Capitol Theater - Syracuse and Rome

What can you say about a high energy band that keeps you on your feet, dancing, clapping and singing along with all their songs! The Elders are all that and more. Don't let the name fool you, you get your money's worth at any of their shows. They engage the crowd from the start and don't let go until the show is over. From fun upbeat songs to some very emotional ballads, to some really beautiful love songs there is something for everybody at one of their shows. You never leave disappointed.

    The Elders were vastly entertaining!!

by BrendaTay on 3/23/11Chester Fritz Auditorium - Grand Forks

From the moment they took the stage The Elders were there to entertain not only with their amazing musical mastery but the sheer magnetism of their personalities. We were a small crowd on a Monday night but we were given a glorious performance! I challenge anyone to experience their performance and not have a toe tapping good time!

    Disappointed!

by the3bs1957 on 3/14/11Uptown Theater - Kansas City

The first hour and a half seemed almost like a talent contest--the two groups were talented! Then when the boys got on stage, everyone come down to the floor and stood up and we saw absolutely NOTHING. AND, we spent 114.00 for up-close-on-the floor seats. For the backs and heads of 200 people. VERY DISAPPOINTING--WE WILL NOT DO THAT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!We Paid Premium price and they did not---but got premium viewing!!! That is not fair. LESSON LEARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Mighty Good Craic!

by Anonymous on 3/14/11Uptown Theater - Kansas City

The Elders Hoolie was very entertaining through and through. I enjoyed the Irish dancers who started out the show. The opening cello/violin act, The Wires, was unexpected but very interesting and enjoyable. The Elders set was energetic and peppered with humorous "true" stories, as usual. One caveat, whoever was in charge of the lighting program did a terrible disservice to the Elders and their audience. Lights kept rotating out into the audience, partially blinding people for a split second, over and over and OVER again!

Matter fact I have a sprained knee and torn meniscus on the right I had to get up and dance too..only if my doctor knew.. Uptown was great,,lot of history.
