The Disco Biscuits rose to prominence in the ‘90s by pioneering their own genre: “trancefusion,” which bridges the gap between electronic music and Frank Zappa-influenced jam bands. The quartet of Jon "The Barber" Gutwillig (guitar), Marc Brownstein (bass), Sam Altman (drummer, later replaced by Allen Aucoin) and Aron Magner (keys) met on the University of Pennsylvania campus in 1995. One year later, they released their debut album Encephalous Crime. The highly-danceable jam band transitioned from playing frat parties to touring in support of everyone from The Black Crowes to the Jerry Garcia Band. Over the years, The Disco Biscuits have released multiple experimental albums and EPs, and curated the annual Camp Bisco electronic music festival. In July 2023, they embarked on their first West Coast tour in nearly 14 years.

The Disco Biscuits are the best live music act in the world. SO fun.
Fun lil town. Cool lil venue. Biscuits hosted an all out jam once again! thanks for all the fun times.
The biscuits were amazing had the time of my life there!!!
Good jams that went on forever and I danced my ass off. But nothing like the classic jam bands- Allman, Grateful Dead, Phish, etc. Nothing original, but a good time!
Oakenfold straight killed it! I liked the biscuits set, but it did drag on a bit during the second half. The light show was really good and it sounded fantastic, the neon dancers were a little weird, but I was cool with it.
This was the best show that I have ever been to. The music was great, the lights rocked, the people at the show were incredible... I'd never been to a biscuits show before that night....I am now hooked!
this whole event was horrible. had a bad time...no good music. all sounded the same
Overall this was an awesome show if you get the chance go next summer it's definitely worth the Washingtons. All of the others that played with the Biscuit Kids blew my mind except for Oakenfold, who put on a weak set. The Disco Biscuits came on ready to get the crowd rowdy. These Kids are wild let me tell you! Paul Oakenfold really took every ones energy before the biscuits came on for an epic second set. I don't feel like the disco biscuits deserve the latest show ever played at red rocks it should go to a band like sound tribe, but whatever it was still a really good time and if you ever get the chance to see Disco Biscuits...DO IT!!
Great line-up and an amazing performance. All I would ask is that RJD2 would have played more music from Deadringer. Other than that it was awesome.
I always heard from all of my friends that Disco Biscuits were sick, so me being a jam music enthusiast I had to check them out.... Too bad they sucked!!!! It wasn't jam music! All they did was play the same beat and chord progression over and over and over again. There was no improvisation, no jamming, and barely any solos. Ive seen every jam band from string cheese to the motet, and I can clearly say that Disco Biscuit SUCK!!!!! Oh well, at least RJD2 and Z-Trip were there to cheer me up. Note: A lot of people I talked to said that the show was awesome, so maybe I just wasn't digging it.
The longest show at Red Rocks did not disappoint. The New Deal, Lotus, Z-trip, RJD2, Biscuits, Oakenfold...., more Biscuits......more Biscuits..... The light show was amazing and the Shpongle dancers were an added bonus on the light stage. Next year they are coming again and you should be there. Just no White Chicks w/Gang Signs Please!!!!
hell ye a phat concert indeed, the dancers and stuff looked really cool and there was a really good line-up hope to see u guys soon Bisco Inferno
The bands I saw were great. Their douchey fans I could take or leave. For a group that claims to be so open minded, they sure were not OK with me being sober at that show.
This was my first time at Red Rocks and I had soooo much fun!! It's a beautiful venue especially when I danced the night away to disco biscuits.
The whole line up with the biscuits was kickin. Took my kids and they danced it up....we did not make it into the late night like most, but still had an awesome good time.
The music, visuals, and crowd were siiiick. Bisco was outrageous.
An awesome event, Red Rocks was the perfect venue. It was a nonstop dance party, and one of the best concerts i've been to in a while.
DJ Z-Trip should have been the headliner. The Disco Biscuits should have never been paired up with the DJ's. The show had no continuity and felt halting during the set transitions.
It was like tecno jam bandish. 2 sets made it worth every penny. The setting for the show was awesome and everyone was having a lot of fun. If they are here again I would love to go!
This show was unbelevable amazing! Rather than talk about the music which was great I am going to focus this review on the entire BiscoInferno as an event. Spending the entire day at Red Rocks was so much fun. It was almost like a mini festival with so many acts performing prior to the Biscuits. There was hardly any lag time between the acts and the stage crew did a wonderful job transitioning from band to band.
