About

The Disco Biscuits rose to prominence in the ‘90s by pioneering their own genre: “trancefusion,” which bridges the gap between electronic music and Frank Zappa-influenced jam bands. The quartet of Jon "The Barber" Gutwillig (guitar), Marc Brownstein (bass), Sam Altman (drummer, later replaced by Allen Aucoin) and Aron Magner (keys) met on the University of Pennsylvania campus in 1995. One year later, they released their debut album Encephalous Crime. The highly-danceable jam band transitioned from playing frat parties to touring in support of everyone from The Black Crowes to the Jerry Garcia Band. Over the years, The Disco Biscuits have released multiple experimental albums and EPs, and curated the annual Camp Bisco electronic music festival. In July 2023, they embarked on their first West Coast tour in nearly 14 years.

  • Stupid fun dance party like no other

by Joneser on 2/3/25The Observatory - Santa AnaRating: 5 out of 5

The Disco Biscuits always bring it. Venue was chill. The security guards were chill, everyone there to have a good time. Awesome that we get to have DB in OC. Can't wait to do it again.

  • Disco Biscuits

    by Nicu2dude on 11/19/24State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Biscuits always slaying but Portland shows seem to go above and beyond what I expect. The energy is top notch and we need more Bisco at the State Theater in Maine!

  • Freeze!

  • Bisco is back

by Wolfmaster on 7/19/24Bourbon Ballroom - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The disco biscuits are absolutely firing on all cylinders. The boys were bringing the heat thst night. Possibly one of the greatest shows this year.

  • Great Concert, Horrible Drink Prices

by BT on 7/19/24Greenfield Lake Amphitheater - WilmingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The Disco Biscuits sounded great, the crowd's energy was on point, and overall, I had a fun time. It was challenging to find a drink menu with prices, and one bartender didn't provide a clear answer when I asked about costs. I didn't expect to spend roughly $82 for three vodka-lemonades and a Liquid Death (canned water) after taxes and tips. This venue does not provide clear pricing and charges way too much for drinks.

  • a first timer and loved it

by scfin on 7/17/24Greenfield Lake Amphitheater - WilmingtonRating: 5 out of 5

great music, great people, great time. if only it hadn't been an outdoors Sunday show with a restricted curfew. It was so dang hot!

  • Venue ran out of water

by Ro on 7/16/24Bourbon Ballroom - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

The music and sound was great. However the venue did not have any water refill station (except for warm sink water) and the bars ran out of bottled water multiple times. Unacceptable.

  • Disco Biscuit Dance Party

by Mutherocker on 7/16/24Bourbon Ballroom - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was the most fun we had all weekend in Atlantic City. We saw this band with SCI Hullaween at the Hampton Coliseum 12 years ago and they were just as good as I remember them. It was a dance party, noone sat down the entire performance. The lighting was so trippy and the music really funky.

  • Fantastic as usual

by Discoloyd on 7/16/24Bourbon Ballroom - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Biscuits were at the top of their game. It was our 71st show(my wife and I) and they’re always great but this was up there with some of my favorites. I love this venue but you need more bartenders. Lines were way too long

  • Disco Biscuits Pre-Peach Show in AC

by JMA on 7/16/24Bourbon Ballroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Fun night but WAY too few bartenders for the amount of people at the venue. Also, poor beer and seltzer selection (no IPAs, no citrus flavor) and poor access to water.

  • Fresh Hot Disco Biscuits have been served!!

by Captain Fantastic on 4/17/24Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Disco Biscuits are the best band in the land at the moment. Between the long tasty jams or the incredible light and laser show you won't find a better concert experience.

  • The Disco Biscuits

    by RichardC59 on 4/16/24Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Nashville TN Show was Incredible! Atlanta GA Show was Awesome! Someone asked me what my fav was & I said just pick one bc they both were fantastic!

  • Disco Biscuits Crush the Lincoln Theater

    by Amanda C on 4/16/24Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The Disco Biscuits crushed the Lincoln Theater with an epic tour closer. The Why We Dance tour will go down in history as one of the best Disco Biscuits tours to date. They fittingly started and ended the tour with "Why We Dance"with the final encore at the Lincoln. The 34-show tour began on the west coast in January with 13 shows in California, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado, hopped over to the northeast and then ended in the Southeast, with stops along the way in some cities they hadn't visited in over 15 years, including Louisville, Houston, and Tucson, AZ.

  • Biscuits tore the roof of the Tabernacle in the ATL!!!

    by DrDonnie311 on 4/16/24Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The Biscuits are playing on another level this tour and the energy of the band and the crowds are infectious!!

  • Amazing as always

by Ian on 4/15/24Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This band is always great but the last few years they're playing the best I've seen/heard from them in over a decade. Truly cruising full speed ahead and its making for some awesome shows.

  • Transport me to New Orleans

by Chavez on 4/15/24Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This venue feels like it was conceived after a night at Tipatina’s uptown in NOLA. Amazing sound and lights. 5 star review!

  • Should require personal hygiene standards

by Mike on 4/5/24Mercury Ballroom - LouisvilleRating: 2 out of 5

The amount of people in this building that had BO honestly ruined the whole show. Before I entered the venue there were people in line that hadn’t showered. Then inside people who don’t shower. Everywhere you turn. The venue should have some sort of standard acceptable hygiene to enter.

  • The Disco Biscuits, the greatest band in the world

by Boscoes on 3/25/24State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Blending jam music and house music into an otherworldly performance. What an incredible show They truly take you to another world!!

  • Blew me away!

by KMc on 3/18/24State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely incredible musical experience. They played two sets of 1:40 minutes each with a short break. Each set was literally non- stop music. I’ve never experienced a better concert!

  • The Best Band You’ve Never Heard Of

by KStone on 3/18/24State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

It’s the greatest live show out there in the jam band scene. Been to 88 shows so far and have yet to see anything close to the same show twice. With a catalog of 200+ songs they never fail to keep it fresh. They pioneered they’re own genre of music; trancefusion. You’ll never regret going; your bank account might though.
