Awesome concert.....will see again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After twenty some years of being a fan, I finally got to see the Cure, and I was not disappointed. The light show accompanying the band was great, and the band played a mixture of new songs, obscure songs, and all time classics that had the El Paso crowd cheering, dancing and singing along. Word to inconsiderate people: leave your toddlers and babies at home.
The Cure's first album came out in 1979. To be able to still sell out arenas and play with the intensity and power they have on stage is amazing. The set list (see below) spanned their entire discography. They sold out the arena, played 3.5 hours and had 5 encores and the die hard fans stayed for the entire thing, begging for more. Robert sounds perfect, just like he did back in their hey day and it was worth every (inexpensive) penny they sell their tickets for. They are a band, they stand there and play, it's all about the music and the visual video and light show which was out of this world. Go see this band before they stop touring! Set List: Out of This World Watching Me Fall (first performance since 2007) Pictures of You Closedown High Lovesong Push In Between Days Just Like Heaven A Letter to Elise The Snakepit (first performance since 2000) Lullaby Fascination Street Want Shake Dog Shake 39 (first performance since 2004) Bloodflowers Encore: Other Voices The Drowning Man (first performance since 2011) Charlotte Sometimes Primary Encore 2: If Only Tonight We Could Sleep Catch The Perfect Girl (first performance since 1990) Why Can't I Be You? Encore 3: Hot Hot Hot!!! (I Don't Know What's Going) On (first performance since 2004) Let's Go to Bed Close to Me Encore 4: Step Into the Light Never Enough Burn It Can Never Be the Same Encore 5: A Forest Boys Don't Cry
The show started at 7. Which was a first, usually the doors are at 7 and the event starts 30mins to an Hour later. The stage was perfect not to big not to small. The completed their set and we cheered for an encore, which the obliged. 5 encores later and a still packed crowd The Cure gave the fans more than what we expected. I wrote down the set list so you can see the length of the event. 3 hours of pure El Paso, TX Setlist: Out of This World Watching Me Fall (first performance since 2007) Pictures of You Closedown High Lovesong Push In Between Days Just Like Heaven A Letter to Elise The Snakepit (first performance since 2000) Lullaby Fascination Street Want Shake Dog Shake 39 (first performance since 2004) Bloodflowers Encore: Other Voices The Drowning Man (first performance since 2011) Charlotte Sometimes Primary Encore 2: If Only Tonight We Could Sleep Catch The Perfect Girl (first performance since 1990) Why Can’t I Be You? The show was great! They played 4 or 5 encores. I enjoyed the show even though the crowd was little dead.
5 encores and 3 hours of hits!!!!! Yeah Baby go see them! Bucket list concert!
They start at 8, and never stop playing, there were 5 encores, every time they went back, they were better! love this guys!
It was such a great concert! The visual that they had behind them were beautiful and Robert sounded amazing! The setlist was great and there were FIVE encores! All I can say is I have so much respect for this band.
Sound was perfect, they played straight through regular setlist without breaks, then did 5 encores. The lights were very bright at times but only mentioning that for people with sensitive eyes.
I have Always Loved Robert Smith and The Cure and to finally see him and the band was music to my Soul, Danced the Entire Show!!! I'd do it again tomorrow. Thanks for a truly Amazing show and for playing songs from years ago! Love The Cure
Epic concert! 3-1/2 hours of reminiscent bliss! Loved the setlist going back decades from start to current! For all fans young and younger!
Excellent show - Played from early discography and a few new songs too... well worth ticket price and making time for the event, hands down.
Though The Cure sounded amazing, I did not like the song line-up. I feel as though they should have played more of the older songs....and the new songs are good but sound too much alike (sat there bored). Sad they did not play "Fascination Street" ;'-(
My all time favorite band! They still sound the same - perfect concert. It was nice to see a concert with the band, stage and a few lights instead of the new Vegas type concerts. Their music is all you need. I'm looking at other cities I can catch a show in.
Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Roger O'Donnell, Jason Cooper and Reeves Gabrels are here to remind everyone age with maturity can lead to powerful, uncompromising development. The Cure's first show of their 2016 world tour proved unfortunately for us it will continue to best itself from here. And it was clear preparation for this outing was in no way a hasty undertaking. If one came for a greatest hits night then perhaps disappointment would be the first reaction. But to understand The Cure is to appreciate their generosity of material from uncommon ground. And that simply is what made this night quite original and so very unique.
Great Concert, the cure played for over 3 hours. It was awesome I loved every minute of it.
Loved the music and the rich bass lines which is uniquely The Cure. They played for 3 hours and still sound great. However their lineup had a lot of songs which were somewhat underground and you can see from the audience's reaction, it was blah. I would only recommend this tour for die hard Cure fans. For those that are only familiar with The Cure's music from their Greatest Hits CDs may be disappointed.
The concert was wonderful. It made me relive my high school years. The voice still sounds the same. The repertoire was fabulous. Three hours of nonstop entertainment. One of the best concerts I have been to.
This was an awesome show! I would love to see them again! The light show was really cool, and they had 4 encores.
The venue was unbelievable. It was just the right place where everyone could see & enjoy the concert. The Cure put on a fabulous show. They sounded as if they haven't aged one bit. The staff were great. They let us dance & did not make us go back to our seats.
