  • The Cure Rocked Madison Square Garden!

by mambafl on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Cure entertained us with an awesome set list of over 30 songs and 4 Encores. I have seen them many times over the years and this has to be one of the best shows! Trying to score tickets for this weekend in Miami. They will always be one of the best Rock bands ever!

  • The Cure unforgettable

by Oscure on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

If people really paid attention to the cure in not just in the music they create beyond their hits and see how long and how different their shows are; they would still be as popular as they were in the late 80s early 90s.

  • True Cure

by BrianNYC6000 on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

I think a 4 rating is a great show for a real The Cure fan, but just good for the casual fan. The set was expansive and true to their sound. This show was definitely about the music and not a lot of flash. Almost 3 hours of entertainment and except from some smoke, lights, and multi-media on the back screen, it was all about their music. They had the big projector screens, but they were just shooting stationary from the ends of the stage; so if you want to see Robert Smith up-close, you need to be close to the stage. The rest of the band managed to get a few close ups on the screens. The crowd was very knowledgeable. A few bars and they knew what was coming and the words.

  • The Cure was amazing!

by LizMP on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Robert Smith still has the same voice that captured my heart years ago. A great concert.

  • Light and Dark

by Luz3 on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The Cure were quite good ... Delivering their brand of dark, existential, and gloomy pop But also with shards of light and joy and spirit! Good lights, good sound and good visuals accompanied the performance. Robert Smith's voice in wonderful condition. Played over 30 songs, therefore appreciating both their varied catalog of songs through the years and giving their audience more than its money is worth. Grrrrrrrrrrreat opening band: The Twilight Sad.... Wonderful energy, great great singer (James Graham) and the band as a whole absolutely inspired. That was a surprise treat as i had only known their name prior to this concert... Great band still, i think, discovering more and more its potential... Wow!

  • the Cure was poor

Bad sound, no performance, no voice. Was very disappointed

  • by Rachieann109 on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The show started a little on the late side at around 9:15. Wouldn't have minded this so much if it's not been such a pain getting from Penn to GCT the last few times I tried. However, the band was great and I am very glad to have been able to see them live.

  • The Cure: They Take You There...

by Flix on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen a number of shows at The Garden: The Stones, Neil Young, Madonna, Prince, et al., and they were all wonderful in their own way. But The Cure was a different experience for me. Robert Smith was in excellent voice. The band was superb with their own very particular sound. I found that I didn't always have to look at the stage. I could close my eyes or look at their fans or at the slide show. It was a transporting experience. It was just a wonderful vibe. A very special night out. And kudos to the MSG staff for their security and for being especially helpful and friendly.

  • Great Show by Rock n' Roll Legends

by Martelfr on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Cure were amazing. They played about thirty two songs and nearly three hours in total including four encores. Robert Smith has lost none of his brilliant vocal capability. This is a must see show if you have the chance to see them live. Felt like they were jamming at a club versus captivating 18,000+ in a huge arena.

  • Band and Smith Sounded Amazing!

by Sam101413 on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the long set, 2 hours and 40 minutes. The show was definitely worth the price of ticket. Got decent seats, in Section 105. Only issue was the camera work which was horrible... Had two screens but none of the band members got close up shots. Perhaps it was done deliberately? My friend and I were very disappointed with that. Would have loved to see them in close up shots. Although having decent seats, we were still very far away from the stage!!! Other than that, the show was great and Robert Smith's still got that awesome voice of his.

  • Great tickets!

  • The cure was fantastic!

by sugarpatrice on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show! Saw them at the Pier in the 80's and this show was just as great. Seats were fantastic and the Garden looks so clean now that it has been updated. The crowd was great and everyone knew every song.

  • What a great show!

by JennnyRaeU on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely loved seeing the Crue at MGS on June 20. I took my daughter with me who is now 12. She loved it too. It was wonderful seeing them in the late 80's now seeing them now with my child. Long story short the same people are still coming but now we are coming with their children. And EVERYONE is loving it! I had the BEST time dancing with my child and everyone else dancing with their children too. Thanks for a great evening. BTW The Twilight Sad did a great job as well.

  • Awesome!

by Catracha100pre on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Excelente atmosphere. Set list was insane and show was almost 3 hours. Can't ask for more. They sang all the known hits and plus other that tend to be forgotten. Very pleased!

  • Amazing show

by Valpro on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen the Cure about fifteen times and this was as good as it gets. The sound was perfect in Madison Square Garden.

  • The best show ever!

by Bubulah on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

It couldn't have been a better show! I haven't seen The Cure since the 90s and was psyched to get such great tickets. The opening act was great! I would see them again.

  • Solid music, lackluster production

by rhbiscuit on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

One thing remains about the Cure, now matter the revolving band members, they can still play. Songs poured into my ears as easily as they did 20 years ago when I last saw them. The feelings expressed in the songs somehow were as raw to Mr. Smith now as when he wrote them. Sadly, his resistance to being put on the big screen leaves only but those close to the stage with view of this iconic star. What really nags at me, as much as I want the music to be front and center, is the lack of creativity with the visuals. We were left with a standard light show and onstage smoke that unfortunately seemed self parodying. That said, I hope they continue to tour as this band shows that music still flows through their veins.

  • I've been waiting 30 years for this show!!!

by JenlyM on 6/23/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

And was not disappointed... they sound GREAT, played for nearly 3 hours. We had just ok seats but were glad we got them, night 3 of 3 sold out shows in NYC. Fantastic, would love to see them again.
