  • The Cure outdid themselves!

by Suthrncan on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Three hours and four encores later, we were in awe!!! This was a huge item to mark off of my Bucket List and the next show I attend will have a tough act to follow!

  • I'm Cured

by RockQuest on 6/27/16PNC Music Pavilion - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first Cure concert, so was not sure what to expect...I must admit that I was not well versed in their library of songs...but what I didn't know I found myself mesmerized....that guitar was captivating...later I found out it's because Robert Smith is awesome on the 6 string guitar. Later after the concert I found myself educating myself on the unique and awesomeness of his playing....The crowd at the show I found myself right at home....I realized that these were my peeps!! Loved the individuality of the crowd and the desire to get lost in their dancing....pure heaven....what's even more amazing was the 4 encores...I think like 33 songs....wow...only thing unfortunate was the long wait to get into the venue....I've been to many shows at PNC....but have never encountered the long lines....like waiting 45 min or longer in line....perhaps due to the recent shootings in Orlando is all I can figure.

  • the cure - AMAZING - robert smith a genius

    by Coco43 on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen The Cure several times over the past 30 years!!! But this year was the BEST!!! I saw the Charlotte show and then high tailed my ass down to Atlanta for the show there! Both shows were fantastic! Goosebumps and all! Robert Smith is the real deal!!!!

  • The Cure was amazing!!!!

    by jdgator99 on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Bestival ATL style with 30 years of music packed into 3 hour show.

  • Despite extremely hot temps, Robert delivered!

by charlotteelise on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The opening band was a fantastic sounding Scottish group called The Twilight Sad. They were a mix of Joy Division, The Smiths, The Cure and even a little Big Country! The singer was very polite and humble and seemed genuinely happy and blessed to be there opening for The Cure. The Cure then took the stage and played for 2+ hours of most of their well-known songs and even a couple older, more obscure ones. The crowd was really into it, but it was so hot, with temps in Atlanta approaching 100 degrees. 2 encores.

  • AMAZING!

by Momodarden on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Perfect, his voice is still amazing. Wish it would have gone on more just to hear more songs. Must see them again!

  • Amazing Show

by AnthonyinAtlanta on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

If you are fortunate enough to be able to see The Cure live you better take the opportunity. Robert Smith and the band are on top of their game. They played for 3 hours with 4 encores. They played their hits from their vast 40 years of putting out amazing music. There is something for everyone who is a Cure fan. Loved the set list and was pleasantly surprised with the energy and performance of the band. They ROCKED it!

  • The Cure is flawless!!

    by Ginger1089 on 6/27/16PNC Music Pavilion - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

This is my fourth Cure concert and they just get better every time I see them. And that has been exactly every 8 years since 1992. I have loved The Cure for as long as I can remember. They are the best band in the world in my opinion!! A lot of bands are great but disappoint live in concert. The Cure will not disappoint!! They are as good live as they are on a studio recording. You absolutely get your money's worth and then some. You can tell that they appreciate their fans and are sure to play all the fan favorites! This show was especially great for me as I was able to bring two of my children to see The Cure for the first time. They were raised on The Cure and had a blast. They did 5 encores! As I said before they just keep getting better.

  • Perfection!!

by KVdeV on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The Cure is one of those bands I've listened to since I was a young teen. Robert still sounds AMAZING after all these years!! And to do a 3 hour set, filled with some of their best work- was just remarkable! (Some of these younger bands barely put on a 90 min show these days, especially when it is 100* out!!) My only complaint was there only seemed to be one video camera on the band, and it didn't move at all. For those of us in the back who couldn't see much, it was a disappointment that they didn't show him close up on the screens.

  • The Cure was Awesome!

by DillonBB on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The Cure played a great show. They played all my favorites and more! Had a great encore too!

  • The Cure was spot on!

    by waldent2 on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

They started at 8:10pm and played for over three hours, over 30 songs, played and sung to perfection. The light show and visuals were very good for this type of outdoor venue too and sound was perfect. The only complaint was the lack of camera work. Two stationary cameras shooting from the side of the stage never gave us a good view of Robert Smith and, seriously, that is who we are here to see! I am sure he is camera shy but when people spend that much money on tickets and sell out a venue they really do want to see the lead singer. Other than that, it was like a dream. The Cure is my favorite band and I was not about to miss my chance to see them again. The only song that I would have LOVED to hear that I didn't was Grinding Halt. All in all, spot on concert!

  • Amazing show

by fizzyg on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

So many great songs spanning their whole discography, with strong vocals, fantastic musicianship, and modern visuals/lights. Best show I've seen in a long time.

  • The Cure was amazing.

by jenipaige on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

My first Cure show was definitely worth the wait. Robert Smith's voice and presence invokes such an emotional response from me. They played almost 3 hours straight. I would love to see them do more American shows

by Jaymakinbass on 6/27/16PNC Music Pavilion - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Great night of music, played for almost 3 hours! Well worth the money to hear 33 songs. Started at 8 and went until 11!

  • Second time seeing them

    by Jamnola65 on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Saw The Cure in Duluth @ the Gwinett arena like 7 years ago. Great show then, and a great show @ Lakewood Ampitheatre on Friday!

  • The Cure still sound great!

    by Pdawg66 on 6/27/16Lakewood Amphitheatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic evening to hear all the hits from this great band from the 80s. The lawn is a great place to enjoy a show where everyone is up on their feet.

Robert and his band never cease to amaze. I have been listening to them more than half my life.... I love them now like I loved them in the beginning. They played so many of the old favorites it was just incredible.

  • The Cure rocked

by TayTam on 6/26/16PNC Music Pavilion - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

The show was awesome. Robert Smith sounded like his albums and played 33 songs with 4 encores. All of my favorites too. if was an amazing show.

  • As good as they've ever been

by NotaryDPO on 6/26/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Okay, I wasn't there at the beginning--my first show was on the Disintegration tour--but The Cure's last night at MSG was as strong as that show and any I've seen since. A three hour marathon with heavy emphasis on four of the band'so best records. Smith's voice is still a wonder and his guitar playing was brilliant without showing off. Run to see this legendary band.
