i am so impressed, The Cure sounds absolutely amazing live! The band hasn't lost their rhythm, voice or stage presence.
The show was excellent. The band was tight and played all the songs perfectly. Robert Smith's voice is intact, he sounds as if it was 1989, hit all high notes and didn't miss a beat. The set list was extensive as can be and covered from the most popular to some of the most obscure songs from their repertoire, pleasing old and not-so-old fans alike. They change the set list a little for every show, it seems, and I was disappointed to know that many songs that I absolutely love were played on the previous night's show, but not on the show I attended. But I'm sure many others were happy to hear the replacement songs, instead, so it's all good. Overall, an excellent show!
The show was unbelievable as they played 34 songs including 4 encores. I went to the second of 2 sold out shows. Robert Smith played great guitar and his vocals were spectacular. The tour band was very tight. I highly recommend the show to everyone.
The Cure is always incredible . . . one of my favorite bands ever. The playlist was amazing - I knew and loved every song. The queue was very long to go through security though event staff was as efficient and polite as possible - it was the crowd delaying things, not staff. We missed the first couple of songs and once inside it seemed 75% of the attendees weren't listening to the music, they were busy walking back and forth and standing around chatting. We were so far back and everyone was walking around or standing so we couldn't see anything, not even the monitors, but the sound was awesome. Next time I'll buy a reserved seat to avoid the people only there to socialize and block everyone's view.
Two memorable days, June 19th and 20th. Both The Cure and The Twilight Sad gave us extraordinary performances.
What can I say, it was THE CURE. The venue left a lot to be desired though.
This was my 3rd time seeing The Cure and the only thing I can say is SPEECHLESS! Each and every time. Robert Smith loves what he does and it shows... 4 or 5 encores, 3 FULL hours of nonstop amazing-ness!!! Vocals are exactly like listening from your favorite speakers- band is incredible. Thank you for a fabulous-ultra-super- show!
The Cure are the best. That simple. The fools at the R&R HOF should be ashamed of themselves for letting so many low quality artists enter the phony "hall" while ignoring The Cure. They transcend time and generation. The masters of post-punk dream-pop played to perfection in 1000 degree heat to a massive sold out crowd. It's a joy to see 99% of attendees singing along with Robert's laments. Would go see them many times over if given the chance.
The show was excellent. They did four encores, and his voice sounded amazing. Lawn seating was actually quite fun as it's a whole different vibe, but still a decent view of the show. My only disappointment was that they never played "Friday I'm in love".... how could they not?? Also, I was super impressed with the opening band, The Twilight Sad. Very talented, and I fully enjoyed them.
Three hours of pure bliss. Robert Smith's voice remains impeccable. Fabulous mix of popular mix and songs for us true die hard fans. I want to go again!
The Cure played for 3 hours!!! 4 encores!!! They played a total of 34 songs with a sound that was album quality. Easily one of the best shows I've been to.
An unbelievable concert! The Cure played for 3 hours in unbearable Atlanta heat. It was a magical night!
Hmmmm..... 95 degrees and people were still wearing the blackest of black clothes and frankenstein boots. ha ha. My kind of people... Even Robert Smith commented.... saying that a trip to Iceland sounded really good after this show. So, the Cure was incredible and fans should have really enjoyed this. I know that I did. They played a great mix of hits and some that I did not know either. That allowed me to rediscover a band that I have loved since high school. The played over 2.5 hours and had 5 encores? That was kinda a new thing. I felt very lucky to witness such a great and important band. Do not miss them if you ever get the opportunity.
I have loved The Cure since the 80's and have seen them live many times. This most recent concert was one of my favorites. I have never seen Robert so happy and playful during a set in person. Normally, Simon is the only person making a move on the stage. They played almost all "old" songs and the crowd spanned many age groups. It was a giddy and uplifting show. The set was mostly upbeat and they played well over 2 hours. The Cure has always been my favorite and it was wonderful to see them all these years later...they still sound perfect in person. Their music and Robert's voice are sublime! Don't miss them if you get the chance to see them!
When I heard there was only one band opening, I figured it was going to be a short show. I was mistaken. The Cure really brought it. High energy! Excellent talent! They rocked the house for about two hours. Well worth it!
The cure sounds better than ever. Amazing show! Can't wait for them to come back!
Travelled to this state to see them here. Great setlist. They played most of my favorites & I loved all the rest. As soon as they got on stage, I stood up, danced & sang along the whole night(never sat back down); everyone there pretty much did the same....had a BLAST!!! Rob sounded great & so did the whole band...they didn't miss a beat. Extremely happy I was part of this event. Awesome to see them LIVE. ******Thank you for such inspiring music that got me through a lot growing up & as an adult keeps my daily commute during 1-2 hours of traffic bearable*******
The show was amazing as always, this is the 10th time seeing them live and they did not disappoint! The played for 3 hours and played a wide variety of songs. It was very hot close to 80 degrees and 100% humidity, but the played 4 encores and didn't miss a beat. It was JUST LIKE HEAVEN!!!
I was kinda disappointed that Robert Smith was barely shown by the jumbo screens on either side of the venue during the show. Was this action, intentional ? He spoke during the show but it just did not make any sense at all. He played a lot of our favorites songs but it seemed that the songs were shortened by a minute or so. I saw ' The Cure' at the same venue about twelve years ago and was a very different show in every way. It was nice to see one of our favorite bands but I expected a more electrifying show and more participation from the band. Oh, well !
This show was great with four encore sets. The sound was awesome and we had a great time.
