Outstanding concert played for 3 hours-WoW--can't wait till they return
went to this concert by myself because no one that i associate with now remembers them but i wanted to see them so bad, i went. No regrets, they are still the best and they brought me back to my youth. Richard Smith sounded so good, the style and synthesizing was new wave all the way. I wish that kind of music was still produced in the 21st century but now the sound is rare. I will keep seeing these relics for as long as they pump out concerts. Awesome
I am a long time Cure fan who has seen the Cure multiple times since 1986 and I was so blown away by the vocals of Robert Smith it was as if we were listening to the album live. And lets not leave out the progression of Simon's bass playing has gone to another level. It seems as if the bass in there music was almost dominate and could drive the pulse of the music straight to your soul. Not to mention that they played almost every song that i thought I would never hear live. going deep into their archive
What an amazing band! They played for nearly 3 hours. All the favorites and newer material. They sounded great. Didn't feel like they phoned it in at all. I'd definitely see them again.
I been a Cure fan since over 28 years and I can tell you all that the band sounds better than ever!! Robert Smith voice sounds great, the whole band is on point! There is not many bands in the world that can change setlist and play over 3 hours at least! The Cure doesn't need a new album to do a sold out tour as this one! If you have never seen them live I totally recommend you to do it!
Attended 2 of the 3 shows and Monday night was as awesome as the first night!!! The Cure always seems to amaze me! They would go on longer but due to curfew hours they didn't!!
Over a 30 song setlist makes this event a must see!
I love the cure and the audience was great. No pushing, no rude people... Maybe that's because some of the fans are older and not kids anymore lol I loved this concert. I haven't seen them in years. All their songs are beautiful and graceful and just plain fabulous. Of course I'm biased because I love The Cure but my boyfriend liked it too even though that's not his favorite music.
First time Cure concert, long time Cure fan. The Cure didn't disappoint. They played all their hits and more. 33 songs to be exact and 4 encores. 2.5 hours of music. The sound was perfect, and you could hear the complexity & musical nuances. My 27 year old daughter joined me and was blown away by their performance and stamina. I highly recommend catching their show.
Robert Smith's Vocal and Guitar were exceptional. The production value was outstanding with great lighting and visuals. It was great to hear all the greatest hits of the Cure in one evening. An Amazing 31 Song set list featuring all the hits and more.
Have been waiting for years to see The Cure and they did not disappoint! Awesome! Entire show was great. Bay Amphitheater was great not too big, just the right size as I prefer smaller venues. Food trucks were good and parking was convenient. Four encores, fabulous!
1st time seeing them and was NOT disappointed! Danced all night. Even songs I didn't know I loved!
I have been a fan for The Cure for years...they also happened to be one of my son's favorite bands..he had seen them before but this was my first time...they were superb...Robert Smith sounded better than ever especially on his ballads..one song after another was pure delight...I can now cross another one off my bucket list.
This was the third night they performed at MSG, I went to two of the three. This night was awesome. The theme was blood flowers. They performed a few songs from that record as well as a ridiculous amount of others. It was a great time. The visuals were great this night as well. The New song was bad ass.
When you go to see a band you have idolized for many years you hope that at the very least you won't be disappointed. After all they have been doing this for a long time. Will they just go through the motions, play the obvious songs? From the opening moments it was obvious that this was not going to happen. Robert Smith put as much passion into his singing and playing as ever and the band locked right in with him with veteran member Simon Gallup on bass deserving a special mention. The lighting complemented the music without ever overpowering it and the sound was as good as I have ever heard and I've been to more shows than I will ever be able to remember. Veteran band yes but a band still at the top of their game and giving everything to the songs. Please come back soon.
They were everything I hoped they'd be! The even played 'Burn' from the Crow soundtrack...and all my other favorites!
Great show and absolutely love this band. The venue not so much: it was very hot and not enough security; one fight between two girls broke out next to us. With the amount of loyal fans this band has they could easily played at a large and (air-conditioned) venue. Anyway, my two cents.
This is 3rd time seeing the CURE. Every time they get better and better. The sound at this amphitheater was actually pretty good. The set list was extremely diverse. Even though we didn't get Friday I'm In Love or High, we did get other goodies like The Love-cats, Hot!! Hot!! Hot!!, Why Can't I B U, A Forest, Primary, Shake Dog Shake, The Walk, and many other obscure gems. The crowd was very cool and lively. There were young and old and many different types of people. This band is the stuff of Legend. Robert and Co. knocked it out of the park!!!!!!!! 3 full hours and never a dull moment this night. I wish I could have gone to the Sunday show as well. Long Live the CURE.
Awesome concert. Not much to say. You must see it!!!
Went to both Charlotte & Atlanta & they were absolutely fantastic. Robert was very playful both nights w/the audience. His voice is as great as ever. Really appreciated the 3 hour shows in such HOT conditions. How they kept from roasting I will never know. The setlist were extensive & full of both old and new songs. Danced the whole night long & really appreciated the high energy shows. Waited 8 years to see them again & it was well worth it. Also had to drive a over 300 miles to get to the venues. Will definitely go see them again, they give their fans their all when putting on a show. Thanks to the CURE & Twilight Sad for putting such great shows. However, did not like either venue. Lakewood was hard to find & Pnc had that annoying vip seating. All the people in Vip seating wanted to do was take selfies & order snacks & drinks like they were at a bar. Annoying for a serious fan who wants to watch & enjoy the show.
