This show was excellent. The singers sang their hearts out and gave an award winning performance. Loved hearing some of the most popular lines from the movie. The show was worth the ticket price and even more.
Saw the original on Broadway years ago and then a local production in Columbia SC . This performance did not disappoint. I also love the venue. Not a bad seat in the house

I should have chosen better seating. However, i enjoyed the performance.
The singing of the cast escalated to places unknown. Simply awesome was the total production. It captured every ounce of my attention with good and not so good emotions. Heart felt acting was indeed compelling to my soul. I loved every minute of the show. Bravo!!!!
It was an experience & I loved every moment of it.
The play was great and the music was magical but I hated the added commentary at he wnd between Mister and Celie....those things qould have never happened!
I loved everything about this play. One thing I was expecting was “God is tryna tell you something” church scene
The musical "The Color Purple" was an amazing show. The singers/actors were fabulous and the entire cast was engaging. The show made you feel like singing, crying and laughing. Our seats were perfect!. I highly recommend.
The show was amazing! The coliseum was packed. I’m glad I was able to enjoy it.
This is a must see play! Everything about it was on point, like I was watching the actual movie. My favorite part was the phenomenal singing...loved it!!! If I could, I would go see it again. I enjoyed it just that much.

I loved that it started on time, the show was amazing, seating and space was great, the exit out was a little unorganized, a little pushing was not happy with that!

While the singer was very impressive, that was the only entertaining element of the show. The acting was below average and there was no scene change nor was there any outfit changes for the different sets. With all the technology that’s offered today, this play could really use additional help in this area. I really wasn’t impressed at all. Also I didn’t realize how negative the play really is and that it had incest, slavery, adultery, fornication, no loyalty and blasphemy, throughout this play. Everything that violates (go against) the commandments of God.👎
I enjoyed my experience from the trip down to Charleston, SC from Jacksonville, NC , the parking situation, the wait on getting my tickets processed, the atmosphere & energy of the crowd, the spectacular performance & performers...I will never forget my experience and will be back for more.
The singing and acting was awesome. I saw the movie. I was glad to get to see the play/musical.
This was one of the most breathtaking performances I have ever seen. Unfortunately, a great deal of the enjoyment was lost to the panic of being so close to the TRUMP rally, which was scheduled next door for the same night. Half the theatre was empty, which I assume has much to do with the fear and panic of run-ins with the folks attending the other event. More thoughtful planning could have prevented this.
I love the songs, and the acting. The cast was amazing very talented group of people. My opinion, for such an outstanding performance, the play could have use maybe just one or two set changes, That was my only disappointment.
