Great adaptation to a family classic. Nice mix of humor and song. Everyone did a great job. The memories were well worth the price.
We couldn't make out the words to the songs. It felt like they forgot their was an audience beyond the first rows.
Elf Jr was even better than I expected. The costumes and stage stages were soo colorful outstanding acting especially Buddy. I would definitely see it again.
My family really enjoyed this event. However, the theater was so warm that 2 of my kids fell asleep and missed most of the show. Not happy about that!
I want to start by saying that the cast here in Cincinnati was great. The sets were wonderful. What is sub-par is the musical. The songs were forgettable and impossible to attempt to sing along with. The dialog was ripped from the movie (though not as funny). I would have rather saved my money and watched the movie again at home. Kids around me seemed to like parts of it but as an adult, and a professional music performer, I was bored.
Took my 6 yr old grandson. He said, "this is the best movie I ever watched".
They did such a great job with tying the show to the movie. Very cute and funny!. The younger actors did a fabulously impressive job.
Wonderful show! We took our three year old granddaughter & she absolutely loved it! Also, having the elves in the Taft lobby before the show was an adorable idea!
We enjoyed Elf the Musical Jr. It was the first time taking my 5 1/2 year old to the show & she loved it. The show was engaging for young children and lasted about 70 minutes. It wasn't too long for little ones to sit through. We'll definitely return for more shows from the Children's Theatre of Cincinnati.
It was not engaging enough for a 4 year old it should be recommended 6and up. The sound system also had a crackling sound it was distracting
I loved this play. Well worth the time. Kids (10to13) loved it.
Amazing performers and well developed scenes. Every kid in the orchestra was quiet, that means they had all the attention to the play. I liked the creativity to bring to live Alice in Wonderland.
Loved the show, my 8 yr. old grand-daughter was mesmerized the entire time! Little Alice did an AMAZING Job! Very talented young actress and singer! All actors/singers/dancers were exceptional and very entertaining! Loved all the stage décor also, especially the BIG glow in the dark cat!
The premiere of Alice in Wonderland with The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati is a melodious arrangement through innovative song and dance that will call to acknowledge the sense of adventure in every audience member young and old. The inventive, vibrant scenery drew me in. I found myself desiring to be a part of each artful moment. I relished the collaborative, theatrical magic delivered by Tweedle- Dee and Tweedle-Dum. The playfulness and silliness of those characters subtly screamed for their own children's TV show. All in all, there were no hiccups, just one satisfying "tea party" of entertainment.
I'm not sure the show is what I was expecting, as I had never been to a show like this. But, it was entertaining and my kids seemed to enjoy most of it. I was a bit disappointed that no pictures were allowed.
This was an amazing show. Something for everyone. The kids really enjoyed the show. they are still talking about it.
The play was very entertaining. The children were thoroughly entertained. And the adults found quite a bit of humor as well. The price was affordable and of course Bob Herzog was a perfect as 'Donkey'.
I took my 5 year old grandson. This was his first play. We enjoyed it immensely.
I have 3 boys, ages 10, 9, and 5. All three of them enjoyed it as well as my husband and I. Very funny! I can't wait to take them to the next play/musical with the Children's Theater. I was very impressed!
Shrek Jr. was a thrilling event for my 5 year old grandson. As an adult, I enjoyed it too!
