  • Excellent acting!

by LostinTranslation on 1/31/25Fox Performing Arts Center - RiversideRating: 4 out of 5

Great acting but I and the people around me couldn't understand all the words (and I attended with an ex-mormon) and this was my second time seeing BOM. I also didn't like the screwing the frog and baby metaphore. On a positive note - The acting and singing was amazing. Really amazing - All these characters came to life and they were super professional. How everyone could remember all their lines, songs and choreography is beyond me.

  • Loved it!

by LauLau on 1/31/25Fox Performing Arts Center - RiversideRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen this show twice and loved it both times. I would probably even see it a third or fourth time. It is hilarious and the cast is awesome.

  • Absolute Delight

by Gatcha on 1/16/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

I recently had the pleasure of watching The Book of Mormon, and I have to say—it was an absolute delight from start to finish! The cast was phenomenal, delivering their performances with impeccable timing, energy, and charisma. Their comedic talents had me laughing more times than I could count. Every joke landed perfectly, and their expressions and delivery made each moment even more hilarious. The music was another highlight of the experience. The songs are not only witty and clever but also incredibly catchy—I still find myself humming along long after the show! From big ensemble numbers to solo pieces, each song was memorable and performed with infectious enthusiasm. I was so completely entertained that when intermission came, it caught me by surprise—I didn’t even realize how much time had passed! The show’s pacing, humor, and dynamic storytelling kept me hooked from the first scene to the last curtain call. I only wish I had the chance to personally congratulate the talented cast and crew for their brilliant work. They delivered a performance that was sharp, fresh, and full of life. Thank you for an unforgettable evening of laughter and joy!

  • Excellent Cast!

by Milly on 1/15/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

The cast was absolutely exceptional! People have a misunderstanding about touring productions that somehow they aren't up to par with a Broadway or West End show. That could not be further from the truth and this show is the proof. Each person was amazing and I was sad when it ended!

  • Laugh out riot!

by Ellis on 1/15/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

If you love South Park and Team America World police. You will for sure love this play! This play had me chuckling the whole entire time. From the music numbers to the performances! It was fantastic

  • Absolutely hilarious

by Dez on 1/14/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

I had never seen this musical before, but heard a lot of good things about it. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart, or children. But if you have an accepting yet dark sense of humor you will love it too. I’m gonna see it again next time it comes to town!

  • Shockingly Good

by Thomas on 1/14/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

The Book of Mormon was excellent. Less excellent was being seated next to someone that the FAA would mandate purchase two tickets. The crippling lack of comfort as he poured into my seat was offset by my joy at experiencing this masterpiece from Trey Parker & Matt Stone.

  • Hilarious

by Kat on 1/13/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

We had excellent seats for the Book of Mormon in the back orchestra section. I had seen the show in NYC years ago, but my husband had not. I had warned him that it was "irreverent"but fun, and I looked forward to seeing the show, as well as his response. It did not disappoint. It was equally hilarious, irreverent, and performed the same energy as I saw in NY. At almost the final curtain, there was a sound issue or something, and the show stopped. A few people in the audience thought it was the end of the show and left, which was unfortunate. Once the issue was resolved, the show picked up from where it had left off, and the final number was incredible.

  • Thoroughly enjoyable!

by flipnk on 1/12/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

The cast ensemble numbers were outstanding! The entire play was irreverent, disconcerting, unexpected, and thoroughly entertaining!

  • Always a great show

by Bren on 1/12/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Loved everything about the production itself. Only issue was the temperature in the theater- it was cold and rainy outside and it was warm inside but when you combine all those bodies in the space with their sweaters and/or coats, it became almost unbearably hot. Also the mic volume on the female lead was too low, could hardly hear her singing over the backtrack

  • Feel like I missed a lot

    by Mmoore02 on 1/12/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 2 out of 5

My daughter and I went to see the show without any expectations or not knowing anything about the show. It started out really good, but after a while, it was kind of hard to understand the plot line and the sub plots, and then toward the end just the raunchiness of that last number was offputting. Not really my cup of tea, Although I thought the singing was incredible.

  • Interesting

by Ccr on 1/11/25Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

The first half of the show was laced with foul language. The second half toned down the language and was a much more enjoyable story. The show was a fantastic satire and depiction of the Mormon religion . The use of accents in the dialog made some words difficult to understand. However, it was entertaining.

  • Anazing

by SharS on 12/18/24Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I go to the show every year that it comes to my city. I will continue to go to the show every single time because it is amazing. The performers and the music and the stage is exceptional.

  • Book of Mormon at the Orpheum

by Phil on 12/18/24Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This was easily the funniest musical I’ve ever seen. It was well acted, the singing and dancing were terrific and it was one to make sure to see again.

Younger crowd, enjoyed the music and action, was interested in what prompted the writing. Fun evening.

  • Excellent

by Carl on 12/17/24Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

First saw this play when it came out years ago and the second time was just as good. Being raised in this religion made me remember how silly religion is and glad I never caught the mind virus.

  • The most irreverent musical I have seen!

by KR on 12/16/24Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I was told that this was funny, that’s an understatement. The Book of Mormon was the most irreverent musical I have even seen. Definitely not suitable for children. I laughed from start to finish and will definitely see this again!

  • This production of BoM fell short

by Theaterfanatic on 12/15/24Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

This is my 2nd time seeing this show and I was pretty disappointed. One of the lead actors was extremely weak and often out of tune. The sound mixing was awful, oscillating between insanely loud and the mics not being switched on before actors started speaking. The whole show felt amateur and shoddily put together. Overall, for a Broadway tour I think it fell way below the standard I'm used to seeing.

  • Disappointed

by Disappointed on 12/14/24Orpheum Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 2 out of 5

Don’t know the story line and didn’t realize it was such a crude production. Wish there had been a content rating or warning. Also, main floor seating is SO tight and seats are worn out. It was extremely uncomfortable.
