This came highly recommended by many of my friends so when the opportunity arose (a trip to NYC) we felt we had to see the show on Broadway. It did not disappoint - so funny, sharp & a great example of human behaviour & the impact of religion on it. Loved loved loved it - go see it!
We were surprised by the content of the show. I guess it was meant to shock and surprise with the content and language. We aren’t prudes but felt it was a bit over the top. The music and acting were great...
The play was awesome! I sat in the 3rd row but there isn't a bad seat in the theatre! Even better the second time around!!!! I highly reccomend The Book of Mormon!!!
We live in the SLC area and know lots of LDS and consider many of them friends. That said, I have never laughed so hard in my entire life! The singing was phenomenal and the comedic timing was absolutely perfection by all the cast members. Great time! Great show!
Went to see the show with my Husband &my 2 young adult sons they are big South Park fans&couldnt wait to see the show !! We werent disappointed ! It was just hilarious! What a fun night !
Good show with funny skits but some of the scenes were a little silly without being funny.
This was a very funny, over the top show. If you want to laugh til you hurt and shake your head because you know its sooooo not PC, then this is the show for you! This is my third different show on Broadway and it didn't disappoint. If your looking for good time and something to lift your spirits don't miss it! I would have given it five stars, but the bathrooms are a little small and drink prices are a little high. Those are my only two very minor issues.
Great theater. Even better show. We laughed the whole time. Elder Cunningham stole the show. Best show I’ve seen.
Energetic, entertaining, well choreographed and danced, great singing. Amaazing show. Totally recommend you go. Try and work out all the other musicals they make fun of!!
Not sure who thinks this stuff up but I’m glad they did. Show was excellent as were the seats and theater. Very funny, laugh out loud show. Not at all appropriate for children but very, very entertaining.
The play was great! Just when we stopped laughing, another hysterical comment came out of nowhere to make us laugh more. Unfortunately we had to stand for the second half of the show because there wasn’t enough room (I’m only 5’2”) for our legs in the front row of the mezzanine. Other than the tiny seats, the show was amazing!
The show was wonderful and funny... I think. But the person in front of my had a huge head and I couldn’t see the play. I’m pretty upset I was really excited to see it.
A brilliant experience. The theatre was full of atmosphere. Seats in Mezzanine level (row C) were a little on the cramped side, but had great view of stage. The production was full of energy and entertainment. Because of the positive experience, my only regret was that I had not booked another show during my short stay in New York. Hope to rectify that very soon.
What a great show! Great music, costumes, sets, the singing was outstanding, and the story was laugh-out-loud funny. My daughter and I both loved it-I would see it again. Even thinking about the show brings a smile or a chuckle.
From the very first utterance of "Hello!" I was already hooked. And I could not stop myself from laughing all throughout the show. I have never laughed so hard in such a long time, it came to a point when I had to stop myself from laughing too hard because it might have been annoying already. But everyone was laughing as hard as I was so it was all good. The comic timing of all the cast members was unmatched, and there was never a shortage of inside jokes that everyone seems to understand.
Best show we’ve ever seen. So funny from start to finish. Standing ovation at the end and it was well deserved!
I loved the show, but I think it should have a warning for those who “might “ be offended by sexual content, language and satirical religious references. The women next to me were clearly uncomfortable.
it’s a great story line with a GREAT theme behind it. it is very raunchy but that’s what i love about it!! i do suggest not taking kids that are 13 or below if you don’t want your kids exposed to that but overall an AMAZING show!!!
I thought the first act was inappropriate. Then I watched the second and laughed even harder. The hell scene was epic and apparently written by a twisted mind. Just how I like them!!! Enjoy the show. My daughter loved it as well and listens to the soundtrack all the time. At the end of your life...you’ll regret not seeing this. GO TODAY!!!!
This play is the most fabulous play I have ever seen. The acting, dancing and singing were superb. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. This is a must see for everyone.
