About

The Black Keys are a garage rock duo from Akron, Ohio made up of lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. Upon dropping out of college, the duo began making a number of self-produced albums together, including The Big Come Up (2002), Thickfreakness (2003), Rubber Factory (2004) and Magic Potion (2006). The band’s fifth studio set, Attack and Release (2008), marked a turning point — not only was it their first project to be recorded in a professional studio, but they also found a producer in Danger Mouse, who would go on to become a frequent collaborator. The Black Keys’ commercial breakthrough occurred with the 2010 release of Brothers and its 2011 follow-up El Camino. Both landed in the Top 3 of the Billboard 200 and the former earned the band their first Grammy win for Best Alternative Music Album. Their 2014 LP Turn Blue became their first No. 1 album on the all-genre chart, with later studio sets including Let’s Rock (2019), Delta Kream (2021) and Dropout Boogie (2022). The band’s twelfth studio album Ohio Players was released in 2024.

The backstage experience was fun and the band rep was very informative and was so nice, sharing her experiences on a tour. The concert was great and lived up to all my expectations! So glad I was there!

The venue was great. Opening band (The Heavy Heavy) was amazing - should've played longer. The Black Keys were exceptional!

  • Fantastic evening with the Black Keys at the Armory

by Shelly on 9/9/25Armory - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Being one of my favorite bands I had high expectations and they did not disappoint! The venue was terrific as usual, the crowd was mostly mid aged men, but men who weren't afraid to show enthusiasm for the band with some epic dance moves. The band was solid and played a perfect mix of new songs, deep cuts and classics. The entire evening was exactly as it should have been!

  • Play more from the first 3 albums

by Disappointed on 9/9/25Armory - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

The Heavy Heavy was awesome! I can’t wait to see them again. This will be my last Black Keys show until they commit to playing more from their first three-four albums. The medley at the beginning was lame.

  • Great Venue Amazing Band

by Roger on 9/9/25Armory - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Rock and roll at its finest. The Black Keys brought a power house set list featuring songs that span their entire career. They started the set with a stripped down 2 man performance and then blasted into a full band slam session. The sound was great the stage set up only added to the performance and the venue was perfect for them. All and all an amazing night for the fans and it looked the they Keys were having a good time too.

  • Always a pleasure

by Kells on 9/9/25Armory - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing the black keys, definitely not my first time at the armory, though. The night was great! Cool crowd, venue is always fantastic, merch stands were efficiently flowing. I’d definitely come back if the black keys played again!

  • The ROCKED!

by Elvis on 9/9/25BMO Pavilion - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

  • Fantastic show!

by Lisa on 9/9/25Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Black Keys were GREAT!!! Bought VIP the day of in case of rain. Being under a roof was great, as was the private restrooms and waitresses. Annoyed that when advertising the tickets we were told there would be a buffet and box seating; there was neither. Deceptive on Ticketmaster’s part. Get your act together for your customers.
