THE B-52S IN CONCERT:

Since forming in 1976, The B-52s have always stood out for their thrift-store chic style and ability to craft catchy, retro-inspired hits. Over the years they might have let their beehives down, but every-thing else about the band is still as tight as it was 30 years ago. Their call-and-response choruses always get fans singing along, and their fun and funky grooves will have you dancing right along with the band. The B-52s are taking their party atmosphere to select cities across the U.S. on their 2015 tour, bringing all their cool style and flamboyant fun to a town near you.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Named after a particular type of beehive hairdo, The B-52s rocketed out of Athens, Georgia in the late ’70s. Starting with their smash hit “Rock Lobster”, the band developed a reputation for campy fun and catchy melodies that carried over to other favorites like “Planet Claire” and “Private Idaho”. By the end of the decade, the band achieved a major mainstream radio breakthrough with the hits “Love Shack” and “Roam”. The band stayed relevant into the ’90s, appearing in The Flintstones live action movie (as “The BC-52’s”) and performing the theme song from the Nickelodeon cartoon Rocko’s Modern Life. Almost 40 years later, this zany garage band is still having a blast -- and still sounds like a blast from the past.

  • A most funtastic time

by Lobo in the Dark on 9/28/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

When the B-52's announced their farewell tour 2 years ago and it didn't include a stop in Toronto, I was greatly saddened that I would never get to see one of my favourite bands. A couple months later, when the residence in Vegas was announced, it was quite naturally obvious that I HAD to go. And so it was that one of my best friends and I flew all the way there just to see them and we never regretted it. The B-52's were everything we had expected and them some more! Fast forward a couple of years and here they were' still touring AND coming to Toronto!!! So, of course, we had to go. Tickets were purchased months in advance and as the date approached, the expectation was building up. The day of the show we arrived early; mesporting my white B-52's tee purchased in Vegas, and carrying my much loved Rock Lobster rubber keychain. Lena was great; and DEVO were phenomenal. But the B-52's were completely monumental!!! All the hits from years back, sang masterfully. Kate's voice is as wonderful as it's always been. Everything; everything was just incredible. So tes; we had a most funtastic time! Thank you!!!

  • B52's need to retire!

by Gomez on 9/28/25Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 3 out of 5

I actually felt sorry for the three of them. Too old and infirmed to perform; thank goodness the band, especially the lead guitarist, performed well. Devo was great.

  • Great concert in great venue!

by Joyce W. on 9/28/25Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Really enjoyed this concert. First time in Pine Knob venue in Clarkston, MI. It was very nice with good acoustics. First time seeing Lene Lovich as opening act. Really loved her. The B52's and Devo did not disappoint. Sad to think this is their final concert, but really glad I got to see it!

  • It was a great time!

by Xray on 9/28/25Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

It was great to see my favorite bands from when I was younger - up on stage in their latter years - belting out their favorite hits- having fun and making a few bucks while at it !

  • A good show the B-52's in Devo good combination of acts

by PS on 9/28/25Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

What's a good show could've been a bit longer than sets. Each of them played for around an hour. Pretty good video shows in the rear showing. Lots of past footage from both groups had a seat ticket. First time I've ever had a seat ticket at this location at pine knob, it was actually cheaper for the seat ticket than it was for the general admission why I don't know...

  • Night of fun!

by Momma Beeds on 9/28/25Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

The B-52’s did a great job, they brought the energy. It was a fun show

  • A really fun night out

by B52s/Devo on 9/28/25Pine Knob Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

A little longer in the tooth but both bands performed really well and played the hits. Stage was pretty minimal relying primarily on a video board behind the band but it didn't diminish the show.

  • Absolute Fantastic Concert!

by Rockin' Ron on 9/27/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

From the start. Lene Lovich put on a Great set. Devo absolutely ROCKED! And The B-52s were Brilliant. It was a Great evening out with my brother in law, Ken. Our first show together. The weather was Perfect! Party Out of Bounds!

  • Devo-lve ME, Please!

by elbulmero on 9/27/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I LOVE Devo-what an amazing show they put on! B-52s were great as well, but I was there to see M. Mothersbaugh and the boys and they did not disappoint. I only wish they could've had longer sets, but everyone is getting older, I suppose. B-52s were LOUD-really, unnecessarily so, but I wear ear protection all the time now. Everyone's voice in both bands sounded great and the night was pretty much magical-that's right MAGICAL!

  • So so, not great

by MHendricks on 9/27/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I love the B52s, but this was not a great show. They played for less than an hour! No encours, not great 👎🏻

  • Legends of New Wave

    by Hasher67 on 9/27/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Lena Lovich was awesome. She was like a crazed medicine woman on stage. Full of energy and was ready to bring the show. Great job, even if it was only a half hour. Devo was awesome and put on a great performance. It was high energy, all the songs I grew up with, and just a great stage presence. There was an equipment hiccup, but they handled it like pros and made it part of the show. The B-52s were good. Kate Pearson and Cindi Wilson sound as great as ever, but Fred Schneider looks like he was doing simmering a favor by being there. There was also a lot of sound technical issues while they were on stage drowning out the vocals. I'm glad I've seen them decades ago because of this was my first time I would have been kinda disappointed. Great venue. As an American, I've never had a full bottle of wine at a concert in a plastic guitar. Thanks Canada.

  • Great night !

The show was really amazing. All artists were great especially loved B52's. Venue is dated but well organized.

  • One of the best bands ever!

by CJ on 4/25/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

They should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I've listened and loved their music for a long time. The show was great. Catch it if you can, don't miss out on a truly great experience. Party on!!

  • happy vibes concert

by music travlr on 4/23/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The B52 s still got it! Crowd of all ages was high energy, the Venetian Theater was ideal for the concert, not a bad seat in the house. Audience was up dancing the entire concert. Happy vibes all the way! Especially Kate‘s voice is still fantastic for those unique B52s vocals. Loved the vibrant videos on massive LED screen to enhance the live stage performance. The B52s rewarded fans with double encore. Also a shout out to DJ Cumberbund who got the crowd going b4 the concert with unexpected music genre video mixes. Great concert experience.

  • Fred needs to up his game

by Love B52s on 4/22/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Sounded great, but...Fred looked listless. He looked like he was just going thru the motions without enthusiasm. Especially since they are playing older videos behind them where they had energy. Compare him to Mick Jagger who clearly still enjoys performing and is 9 years older. It's only a 75 minute shoe. Come on Fred ! You can do this! Get excited again.

  • Still excellent!

by Peter G on 4/22/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Really? They are up to 76 years old? Yes, the voices are not as they were in their 30's - but they are still absolute enjoyable and fun!

  • Great show, nice place

by Lefty on 4/22/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great. The DJ was good, and amusing. The band was on. Their back up crew are excellent musicians. Seats were very comfy, and the place was beautiful inside. Easy access to snacks and drinks and restrooms.

  • The B-52s: Vegas Residency -Absolutely Awesome

by AneeO on 4/22/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

A blistering set from The B-52s, performed in a fantastic venue - The Venetian Theatre, Las Vegas. The staging, background graphics and lights were amazing and a fitting backdrop for Keith, Cindy & Kate who remain top of their game. Backed up by talented musicians, they performed a collection of fan favorites from their extensive back catalogue and though the dancing wasn't as wild and frantic as former days, given their ages this is acceptable. I travelled from the UK to see them perform one more time and it was totally worth the journey and the expense. They know how to entertain and they deliver in spades. If you get the chance to see them, I urge you to do so. I pray that this is not the last time I witness the spectacle that is The B-52s. They thanked us, their audience for over 45 years of support and I thank them for over 45s years of fabulous music that has been a backdrop to my life.

  • Spectacular!

by Shanana on 4/21/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I am such a big fan of the B52's so it's not hard to write a great review. The sounded better than ever! I took a friend (instead of my husband) this time and she had never seen them. She said it was one of the best concerts she had ever been to! The were so much fun, all their songs were fun, the background videos were a blast and made you not want it to end. Thanks again and see you in November!

  • FUN!

I've been a fan since early on. The show was wonderful and we enjoyed seeing Cindy, Kate and Fred do their thing, with the band which was fun too, they did a really good job as well. Videos and the whole production was A+ and DJ was a nice touch. We were very happy!
