Great family show! Loved Brooke and Roger as Morticia and Gomez! The whole cast was amazing, especially Rachel Potter, what a voice! The sets and music were so fun and we really enjoyed ourselves!
I loved this production and felt that Grandmama stole the show. She had me rolling in laughter. Gomez and Morticia (Brooke Shields) were well cast and superb. I'd recommend this show to all...and have.
I saw Addams Family last Mon Dec 26th. It was a very enjoyable show. The staging & sets were moved around by ghosts of Addams past and it worked well. Uncle Fester, Wednesday, Lucas mother all were great entertaining characters and well acted. Alas, Brooke Shields was weak in her portrayal of Morticia. She looks good but her voice and dancing are not ready for prime time here. I didn't care much for Rees as Gomez either but he did the role well enough to tango with Brooke Shields. Seriously it is a good show - lots of laughs and the plot works well.
The show was a lot better than I expected. Albeit a difficult plotline to work with, the actors and their corresponding singing made the show better. I really liked some of the motifs in the play itself. A must see for families.
Travelled from Newcastle in the UK for a pre Christmas break in New York. I booked this show as I thought it would be great viewing with my husband and kids and I wasn't wrong. Everyone had a brilliant time and could 've watched it again.
It was wonderful! You must see. Very funny with great actors.
I enjoyed the performance from start to finish. Staging was excellent.. Eerie feeling of home environment was present throughout the show with warmth added at the family gatherings. My most memorable part of the performance was when the grandmother introduced her potions to Pugsley and sang. I think the show was hilarious and turned out to be a great family event for my son and I.
This play was very funny & we all enjoyed--hubby & myself (in our, ahem, 40's ) & 15 year old son. Brooke was great as Morticia! It is a musicial, but the songs weren't too long.
I loved this show.. a fun modern twist on an iconic TV sitcom. I took my 16 yr old daughter and her friend, everyone truly enjoyed it!
It was a great show, a lot of similarities to the original show. True Addams family fanatics will really appreciate this play.
You will defn get many laughs out of this one. The one-liners are great, and everything that comes out of the grandma's mouth is hilarious. I recommend this if you loved the movies, or grew up with the show. It's a lot more enjoyable if you are familiar with their quirks beforehand.
I was not overly impressed with the storyline. I felt what they chose was preachy and not in line with some gory stories they could've used instead. I wasn't too fond of Brooke Shield's performance; nothing really stood out. Gomez was great! Lurch was great? I thought Wednesday had a little too much singing time in reference to the other major characters. I was disappointed that "thing" was not a greater part of the show. One appearance to open the curtains was certainly not enough. Overall, I wasn't crazy about it.
This was a great show, my mom and I went to see this for an early Christmas present. It was hilarious from the start and we enjoyed every second of it! The Lunt Fontaine theatre was decorated just like the Adams family house! The character who played Wednesday was outstanding.
VERY ENJOYABLE AND EXTREMELY FUNNY. THE VOICES OF ALL THE CAST WERE EXCELLENT. BROOKE SHIELDS WAS PERFECT AS MORTICIA. THE STAGING WAS DONE SEAMLESSLY. GOMEZ WAS THE STANDOUT. UNCLE FESTER AND LURCH WERE PERFECT. A THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE EVENING.
It's was an amazing show and I would love to see it again. I loved everything about it and it was one of the best shows I have seen. If you are thinking about going to see it. Don't think just go it was an amazing show !
The show started slow. I remember thinking.... I paid 800 for this? But it quickly got better. The audience seemed to want to be involved. Would have liked to see a bit more interacting. Also, more ties to tv show. I love thing. Only seeing him once was disappointing.
The cast was extremly talented, the chacter Alice was an outstanding singer and actress! It was hilarious we laughed a lot!! We even talked about seeing it again!!
Great show, one of the best I have seen in a long time.
Show was great and the experience was wonderful. Enjoyed the atmosphere of the theater; everyone so friendly and fun night out - our 22nd Anniversary.
