The Tennessee Titans used to be called the Houston Oilers — one of the charter teams of the AFL. The Oilers won the first two AFL championships, in 1960 and 1961. In 1997, the Oilers moved to Tennessee, becoming the Tennessee Oilers, before changing their name to the Tennessee Titans in 1999.

The Tennessee Titans’ biggest rivals are the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Indianapolis Colts.

The Tennessee Titans played their first and only Super Bowl on January 30, 2000, against the St. Louis Rams. Unfortunately, the Titans were defeated (23-16) in a game that is considered by many to be an all-time classic. Super Bowl XXXIV is also famous for being referred to as the "Dot-Com Super Bowl" due to the heavy amount of dot-com ads.

    Lot of fun

by JamesTurner on 9/21/09LP Field - Nashville

Had a great time at the game and all the events leading up to kickoff. If going make sure you get there early it can get backed up near kickoff. The only think better would have been if the Titans had WON! If you have not been to a game at LP Field you are missing out, get your tickets today!

by SHERIEBERRY on 9/21/09LP Field - Nashville

The weather was great! I could see everything on the field and the atmosphere was Indescribable. I will go back to the game. It is something that me and my dad started doing together and I want to make it a tradition.

The Texans played a great game

    by Mike11 on 9/21/09LP Field - Nashville

Despite several major defensive blunders, the fact that the Texans were able to come back and in is astounding to me. They rarely come through in instances like that. Nice stadium.

    GO TITANS....it's your year!!!

by ZetaLady on 9/4/09LP Field - Nashville

This was a really fun game, great seats and as usual good plays by the Titans. The food at LP was expensive but that is to be expected, I suggest going early and eating down town. It's fun to take in the city during game day. Also the walk from downtown, across the bridge and around the stadium to gate 3 was a mini marathon. I have blisters on both feet and toes. I HIGHLY suggest the most comfortable shoes in your closet. No other major complaints....it's just good football.

    Great Weather and Great Game

by WillDyna on 8/21/09LP Field - Nashville

I reserved 3 tickets in advance and to be picked up at the Stadium Will Call Ticket office. The email reminders received via Blackberry was great. That allowed for an early arrival and very little traffic or delay in parking. Picking up the tickets went very smooth and the seat location in this stadium was great for this time of year, we had a cool breeze coming down into the stadium. We sat among Season ticket holders which made for some enthusiastic cheering. Fun to be in the stands to watch our Team plus they won.

    Titans Football

    by FootballFan66 on 8/21/09LP Field - Nashville

The stadium is amazing. Not a bad seat in the house. I was in the upper deck and got to see all the plays as they developed. Even though the walk is long it was worth being up there. There are enough ammendities at that level to keep you up there all game long. Even though it was a pre-season game the level of play was worth the money.

    Tennessee Titans were awesome!

    by Tea2 on 8/18/09LP Field - Nashville

My daughter and I attended the Tampa Bay Bucs vs. Tennessee Titans at LP Field on Aug. 15th! We had a great experience. The employees of LP Field as well as the Police officers directing traffic were great! We had a wonderful time! It may be a once in a life time event for us but we hope to go again sometime. It was well worth the effort of the traffic. We did not have to stand in lines anywhere, they had enough employees to get everyone through quickly. IT WAS THE BEST!!!!!!!! If you ever get a chance... GO!!!!!

    Unforgettable Titans Experience!

by MadHop on 8/17/09LP Field - Nashville

My son and I attended the Tennessee Titans' first pre-season game of the 09-10 season. We managed to get tickets in row T of the lower level, on the 45 yard line, no less. I was very impressed with the way the event was managed, there were several announcements regarding how to report unruly fans and there was a huge sign about this issue on the jumbo-tron. I'm always a little concerned about fan behavior at these types of events. I don't know about the upper deck but the crowd in the lower level was energetic but not obnoxious. My family just attended a Braves game and it seemed like everyone there was on crack! Not so in Tennessee. Traffic to and from the stadium was well managed. We didn't have any major delays. We paid $35 to park at the Ramada. Possibly could have found something cheaper but this was right next to the stadium. The lots at the stadium are for season ticket holder/ parking passes only. Overall, this was not a cheap outing, probably about $250. However, it was worth every penny and then some. Truly a priceless experience that I think we'll both remember. It was a birthday event for my son. I think I'll try to make a tradition of it.

Them Titans can do the Nashville Stomp

    by rockstar64 on 8/16/09LP Field - Nashville

I don't think there is a bad seat at LP field. Even though we were in the risers, we could see the action just fine. The jumbotrons are amazing. The stadium staff was nearly invisible. Great time, great finish for the Titans.
