Hailing from Nigeria, singer, songwriter and producer Tems (real name Temilade Openiyi) blends West African alté and neo-soul. She grew up heavily influenced by a mix of Nigerian and Western music, having spunDestiny's Child, Lil Wayne and Aaliyah on her Walkman when growing up. But at the age of 15, she stopped listening to music all together to find her own sound and hone her craft.
The first introduction to her smooth mix of reggae, soul and R&B was 2018's 'Mr Rebel', which cemented Tems firmly as one to watch. Each single that's followed, from the alt-R&B dance groove of 'Damages' to 'Crazy Tings'' old-school reggae throwback, has shown her genre-ignoring, reinventing approach to music. Her most recent EP 'If Orange Was A Place' glides between softer emotional rawness in 'Found', and up-tempo alté fun with 'Replay's playful horn section.
As well as her own releases, she's featured on several high-profile collaborationsthat led her to be listed in Barack Obama's favourite music of 2020.She teamed up with afrobeats superstar WizKid for his sensual track 'Essence', the first Nigerian song ever to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and earnt her a Grammy nomination. She also joined Drake for 'Fountains', which skips around piano-based afrobeats instrumentation, and Khalid and Disclosure for their electro-R&B hit 'Know Your Worth'.
If you are on the fence about a TEMS show, just do it! I didn't regret it at all. TEMS is an amazing performer. Radio City Music Hall is an ideal venue. Loved every component of the show.

Tems was amazing!!! It was such a great show and a packed house too. Tems is such a vibe, we spent the time singing and dancing never took a seat. It did feel like a shorter concert than I've been too but she was the only act for the night so it was all worth it!!
Tems is a class act! Although she was under the weather she still gave us a beautiful show. Tems is usually interactive with the crowd and makes it a personal experience.
Somehow her voice is even more enchanting live. 10/10 performance she sounds like the CD even when shes with a live band and changing the songs up. Love you Tems!
One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to! Tems and Naomi Sharon were amazing. Beautiful ladies with lovely vocals. The stage presence and engagement was 10/10.
Her concert was so phenomenal, the vibes were all there, her voice is also so amazing in person! I will buy tickets every time she is in town!!! Also brought out legend, John Legend during the concert.
My husband and I loved everything about it! We are huge Tems fans and this was our first time having the pleasure to experience her in person!

From the time we pulled up until we left the experience was amazing. They had someone helping you to your seat every step of the way. My view from the Loge section was amazing I was able to see Tems with no obstructions. Best concert ever.

Super fun time! Tems is absolutely amazing!! My favorite artist. Performance was 100000/10 but it was hard at some points to see the stage if you were standing behind somebody (especially tall people), and there was no screen on the side of the stage to see the artist as she moved. It would have been better, possibly, if the stage was higher or like I said, had the screens on the side. But other than that great time! Would 100% go back to that venue and will definitely see Tems again!
