About

Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

  • Back to the good days of my youth

by Jerry on 9/14/25Old National Events Plaza - EvansvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I thoroughly enjoyed the Styx concert...again! They've composed sooo many great hits over the years, and it was a grand evening as they performed so many of them! T'was great to see James Young, Chuck Pinoso n especially Tommy Shaw (happy 72nd birthday), who seems to not be aging. The new kids in town have really kept the unique STYX sound, making it such a memorable evening. This was a wonderful 65th birthday gift for my kids...who also love Styx.

  • Absolute Quality Show

by Concert Goer on 9/14/25Old National Events Plaza - EvansvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Styx always puts on a quality show and has been since the 70's. Love hearing all the old classics and their new stuff as well. It was Tommy Shaw Birthday so it was an extra special event as well. I have all the respect in the world for some of these gentlemen still rocking it out all these years at their age...👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏...Standing Ovation

  • Loved the show, but don't purchase parking

by 80s Fan on 9/3/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

My wife and I had a great time at the concert. The facility and workers were more than helpful and the music was great. However, when we purchased the tickets we were given the opportunity to also purchase parking. The email stated that we would get our parking passes on the day of the concert via email. The parking passes never arrived. We spent $30 for the parking. I would recommend not choosing this option when purchasing event tickets.

  • Excellent concert from start to finish.

by Styx, Kevin Cronin & Don Felder on 8/31/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

All 3 acts put on a great show and we were so happy we decided to go.

  • All was great except for first act

  • Smooth transitions

by KSD on 8/30/25Hollywood Casino Amphitheater - Maryland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Each band didn’t miss a beat coming out on stage. It was continuous music and we knew every song save one of the new ones by Styx. Renegade … best performance yet!

  • Fantastic

by Zannie on 8/29/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Styx put on a great show. Tommy Shaw can still sing and has aged well. They played all of my old favorites and a new song they just released which was great. It was an awesome night of music with Styx, Don Felder and Kevin Cronin.

  • A Rocking Great Time!

The Brotherhood of Rock concert in Milwaukee was great! All three bands were awesome!

  • Sooooo Good

by Sassykathy on 8/28/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

I never followed Styx, I am 68. Heard someone say they were hard rock, I never thought so. Well let me tell you, they played 4-5 songs I didn’t know and they were hard rock w some blues running through them. Absolutely loved the songs, which doesn’t come easy on your first time hearing them. They knocked that show out of the park!!!! Phenomenal!!!! Would definitely recommend seeing them. It was so awesome, I was in the second row!!!! Soooo fun!!!!

  • Great show

by Deano on 8/28/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

Great show from Styx and Don Felder. Kevin Kronin band was measured. The Styx show had a little too much base but otherwise was great but could have been a little longer.

  • Excellent

by Mary B on 8/28/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

From Don to Kevin to the whole Styx band. It Was top notch music. We didn’t have to wait a long time to see the next group. They were spot on with timing. 4 hours of music. Amazing

  • Memorable night

by Bernie on 8/28/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

7 of us from high school, 4 from grade school class of 1976, enjoyed a trip down memorie lane. REO Speedwagon opened the night playing all my favorites, and some that I have forgotten. The leas voice has changed somewhat, but still worked hard to hit every note. Outstanding describes Styx. If I closed my eyes I felt like I was back in high-school. Well done, great value for the show

  • Styx, Kevin Cronin Band, & Don Felder were great!

by JohnH on 8/27/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Don Felder and his backing band played many songs from his time with the Eagles, and something from his new album, The Vault. All were lively and exciting. The Kevin Cronin band played all of the High Infidelity album, and much more of his favorite songs from REO Speedwagon, much to the crowds gleeful delight. Great music and good times. The highlight of the evening was Styx players Tommy Shaw, James Young, and a special guest appearance by Chuck Panozzo on bass. All of the Grand Illusion was played, front to back, and many other hits and fan favorites from their extensive music catalogue. Styx put on a great show, unsurpassed in technical brilliance and excellent musicianship. Some of the best showmanship I've seen in years! This show was the 3rd time I've seen Styx in my life, and was by far the best and liveliest one ever. They had great fan interaction, and actively encouraged the crowd to sing along for their most popular songs.

  • Incredible!

by Lan on 8/27/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Don Felder, Kevin Cronin Band and STYX! They all rocked the house and brought so many memories of when we were teens! We felt 16 again

  • Enjoyable

by The entire concert was enjoyable on 8/27/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

Concert great, summerfest staff when off summerfest dates concert is always unorganized

  • Backdrop visuals added to the musical event

by Shel on 8/27/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Great seats, great crowd. The entire stage was utilized. A treat for the eyes and ears.

  • Great time

by Vicki on 8/27/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

We went to see concert in Milwaukee had great time

  • A bit predictable but still great

by Charlie B on 8/27/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

Don Felder was the surprise highlight in that I’ve never seen those songs performed live! Cronin was power chords and short songs but Kevin still has fun! Styx has become a bit predictable in that it was essentially the same show we saw at Summerfest last year. Their catalog is so extensive that the fans would enjoy some other gems like Suite Madam Blue, Light up, Midnight Ride, Half Penny/Two Penny and many more. Also their bombast is evident with no less than 3 guitars on stage. In addition at times they bass heavy with 2 bassist at the same time. Tommy continues to amaze with his vocals. He hits and sustains all the highs. I hope he has those hands insured. He plays amazingly well. I’ve seen them perhaps 15 times so I have a basis of comparison. I will continue to frequent their shows

  • Simply an awesome concert!

by R. Martin on 8/27/25American Family Insurance Amphitheater - Summerfest Grounds - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

All three bands put on a great concert. Starting with the Don Felder Band, The Kevin Cronin Band (3 former members of REO) and of course the headliner STYX. It was a great evening filled with awesome music. I'm looking forward to seeing them again sometime.
