Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

This was my 2nd time seeing Styx. Great show, great energy. Music sounded fantastic!
Fabulous show. Non-stop hits from start to finish. Musicianship off the charts. Our group of 4 just raved about how much we enjoyed the show post concert. So glad we can still enjoy their music live which I listened to non-stop in my 20s.
Styx is amazing in concert. A high energy performance packed with hits. The venue was kind of butts since it has NO WIFI and no cell service.
Yes, Ricky Phillips announced his resignation the day before the show. Yes, Terry Gowan, younger brother of Lawrence Gowan stepped in on short notice. Yes, Tommy Shaw in the month break from touring injured his knee and is in a cast/brace. None of that deterred them from giving their all to the show, especially Chuck Panozzo.
I had no problems buying the ticket, parking, access, or show. Really enjoyed seeing Styx again. Not a fan of the opening act.
Styx was and still is one of the best rock bands around. i've seen them numerous times in concert and even at their ages, i'm still very happy with their performance, "Rocking my Paradise!"
Good show, first time seeing them. I think the concession stands need a little more variety. I have a gift I made for the Rolling Stones, going to the show in New Jersey, the second show. How do I go about getting it to them?
What an amazing show! Beyond amazing! Facilities are always nice, clean, friendly staff for dinks, food and seating! There is not a bad seat in the house! The band was exceptional! All gave everything they have to put on a great show! We love the Oakdale! Thank you!
What an awesome show in Wallingford, CT! I just love Styx - their energy is just amazing and they proved yet again that they can absolutely rock the house! Every song is a great memory that brings me right back to my younger days :-) Thank you, Styx - hope to see you down the road again very soon!
The show was fantastic & vocals were exactly the same from back in the days
It was a wonderful show. So exciting to see Tommy Shaw. They sounded amazing
Fun to see Styx in a smaller venue. Sounded great. You know almost all of the songs. A very long traffic backup getting in - I don't think people realize there is another entrance. Ticketmaster requires you to use your phone as your ticket, but the venue has terrible Wi-Fi service, so there were major problems at the door and for prepaid parking.
Styx never disappoints. We saw them at Thunder Valley last year too. The venue at Thunder Valley is much better but Styx slayed the concert. They still sound great!!!!
Concert was billed as "An Evening with Styx" turned out to be just a regular Styx show 15 or 16 songs played. In the past, when I've gone to "An Evening with Styx"concery, they played for 2.5 hours and around 22 or 23 songs with a brief intermission. I would think this was a mistake on the promoters and not the band. great show, though too short.
We’ve attended several Styx concerts. The entire group is always on point at every show we’ve seen. They are true experts at their craft! We’re so glad they are still out there entertaining.
Some concerts just make you smile the whole time and chair dance. Or just dance. They did all the hits that I wanted to hear and then some. Did not disappoint. Will go see them again.
Great newer venue. The band sounded fantastic and still brings an awesome performance to the stage
I listened to Styx when much younger, and enjoyed the music but I wasn't over-expecting when we arrived at the show. The band was surprisingly entertaining when seen live. They played their hits, and I was amazed how many there were. Some newer band members added to the mix, and Tommy Shaw was, is, and forever will be a classy and personable musician. If there was to be any negative critique at all, it would be that many of the songs sound similar, but that's the case with many rock bands. All in all, when of the better shows we've seen over the last few years, and we go to a lot of live events.
Still sounding Great as Ever. I will always love Styx. A talented band that Rocks is a sure gift from GOD.! Thank You my Brothers
