Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

Sound, lights experience all amazing. The whole theater was singing!
I have seen Styx twice in the last year & continue to be amazed at their clarity & energy
They never stop so much energy and the music singing just like yesteryear!!
The concert and sound was awesome. Venue was great except for the seating I had a very tall person in front of me so it made it very difficult to see the show
Styx has seen many line up changes over the years. I have seen them live at least a dozen times with each is the changes. They continue to put on a great show! Their harmonies and energy leave all who attended satisfied that they saw and heard a great band!
Such a great show. They are all so very talented and enjoy what they do, making us happy. Tommy Shaw is my favorite since high school, just love him!
Styx was incredible and I would see them again in a heart beat. The venue was flat seating which would have been fine except the woman in front of me refused to sit down, blocking Tommy Shaw for the entire show. Security tried to get her to sit down and that didn't work. I will not attend another concert with flat seating.
On floor seating with no chair elevation is not a good idea. I purchased a seat 12 rows back center stage to see my favorite band. I paid a lot of money to be this close. The four people in row 11, right in front of me, decided to stand for the entire concert. Of course the two directly in front of me were tall and the girl had on a wedge heel that made her even taller that blocked my view. The people behind me were yelling for them to sit down. I tapped on the girls shoulder and asked her if she could sit down as the people behind her could not see and her response was “no”.. Therefore I had to watch the concert off the big screens, even though I was in row 12. Styx was awesome and sounded great. I know it is a concert and people stand but it isn’t necessary to stand the entire concert. Any way I left the concert disappointed and I will never go to another concert in the event center at the Seneca Niagara Casino if the flooring is not elevated seating.
The entire band sounded excellent! They brought the energy!!
My wives favorite band. A nice gourmet Italian dinner beforehand, then the show in a beautiful acoustically phenomenal theater. We were up close and personal about 8 rows up, stage left. Having seeing them many times (including flying my wife to Myrtle Beach for a show) I would say the band has only improved with time. Two thumbs up for the Band, the Venue and Live Nation for bringing the shows to us.
The only issue I had with the show was it was to short, fantastic concert, Styx is still on top of there game after all these years!!
It is criminal that a band that is 50 years old still sounds and performs so well. Tommy Shaw sings better than he did in his youth, Lawrence Gowan carries the Dennis DeYoung material with respect and is a better keyboardist than Dennis. James Young still plays amazingly. The rhythm section of Terry Gowan and Todd Sucherman were an absolute machine. I grumbled a bit about ticket prices, but this show was a bargain based on strength of performance.
Styx was excellent! Wished they played longer. They have so many more songs they could have played. They were tight and you would have never known time has passed!
The show was fantastic! The Oakdale should consider putting up larger monitors in the auditorium. The ones up there currently are really too small for the size of the venue. All other venues have screens that are compatible with their size. The concession prices are really excessive! The tee shirts are also too expensive! Gone are the days of the $10 tee shirts outside the venue, I guess. And the quality of the ones inside are not as good as we're being told they are. Lastly, just so someone reads it, the parking is unreasonably priced. I pay every time for premier parking because I can't sit that long in a car and not move. I paid $20.00 for my parking, and I saw the other night that it went up to $30. I was shopping for tickets last week and saw that premier parking for the Oakdale for the event I was shopping for was $50.00! C'mon! When does it end? I've been to hundreds of shows since I was 15. I'm now 65 and I have to say, my concert going days are pretty much done and it's because of the costs involved in the total concert experience. $70. dinner (cheap), travel expenses $15, Tickets $160, 2 beers $30 and now parking $30. Total of $305.00 for the two of us for 1 night out! $405.00 if I purchase 2 tee shirts! Can't do it anymore. I'm recently retired, and I have to keep my finances in order. Thanks for the memories. My first concert was at the Oakdale in 1973. The tickets were to Tom Jones. I won them on the radio, and I took my Mom. The Oakdale was owned by Ben and Beau Seagal at the time and the tickets were $4.75 each.
Styx concert was awesome!! Enjoyed the whole night and experience!!
Styx put on an amazing show as they always do. Loved it!
The show was amazing! Great energy from the guys, lots of happy memories for the younger version of myself! An earlier start time would have been nice.
They played all of their best songs and really made the crowd feel so much energy!! I love seeing groups like this and enjoy the music with the entire audience.
Been to 20 Styx concerts since 1981...they sound the same as they did 40 years ago! A must see!!!
What an unbelievable show - the stories, the energy and THE MUSIC! They still sound incredible and it was all the feels and such a trip down memory lane! Go see them if you have a chance!
