  • My First Steve Tyrell Concert

by Cirque Fan on 4/25/20SouthWest Florida Event Center - Bonita SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

I have always enjoyed listening to Steve's music on CD's or radio. However, his concerts are even better. The small venue made to evening more intimate and allowed everyone to have goods seats. He told great stories about most of the songs and back stories of the artist or song writers. Loved the show.

First time attendee to the SWFEC, my wife and I enjoyed both the opening act, Mr. Jenson, and Mr. Tyrell! Even with the excessive talking ( ladies at our table) during the lead act we enjoyed the music and the performers.

Loved it. Steve is a great performer. I enjoyed his stories. Made it seem like he was giving us a private concert. His band was incredible. Made for a great night out.

  • Nostalgic

Not bad for a quiet night out, love the old tunes! However, the dinner and service was not coordinated, they need to improve their service!

  • Seating

by Ray on 9/24/19The Canyon Montclair - MontclairRating: 3 out of 5

Great performance, however the assigned seats did not give complete view of stage, there were many empty seats next to us with better viewing at the same price as mine???

  • Great Show Great Showroom

by Larry L on 9/24/19The Canyon Montclair - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5

The Canyon in Montclair, CA was great. An outstanding showroom. Had a Vegas feel. The waitstaff was great as well as the food. What is there to say about Steve Tyrell? He always puts on a grest show. He is funny, engaging, and has a grest voice. His stories of the music industry added to the night.

  • Smooth as silk...with a bit of grit

by ndconcerts on 1/21/18The Canyon Agoura Hills - Agoura HillsRating: 4 out of 5

This was my second time seeing Steve Tyrell, and the first for my friend and his mom. We went to this together (I bought the tickets), and enjoyed the show a great deal. In fact, I felt that this performance was better than the show I saw Tyrell perform a few years before at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis, MN. Everything just seemed to 'click' at this show--our seats (right up against the stage in the center), the setlist (a nice mix of standards both contemporary and non), Steve's band (he had horns this time, very appreciated), even the dinner served (lasagna, which was a surprise, because usually the meals at the Canyon Club leave a lot to be desired). Steve was in a great mood, he was much more personable than before, and we had a good time. It was cool of Steve to come out afterwards and meet us by the stage, too.

  • A dream come true

by Toomuchbun on 5/10/17E J Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was everything I had hoped for. The setting was intimate so the amplifiers did not have to be ear-shattering. Steve is WONDERFUL. We love the standards and he does them so well! Loved his stories in between some of the selections. I hope he comes back next year! Please !! Did not care for the woman in the front conversing with him. Thought she was rude, but Steve took her in stride. 5 stars for Steve and his musicians!! A total class experience.

The concert was excellent. Steve is a terrific entertainer with a great voice and stage presence. His backup musicians are stellar in their own right. . This was the third time my wife and I have seen Steve perform and we were impressed each time. He is a true artist and his musical accomplishments are legendary. The venue at E.J. Thomas Hall is terrific.

He was a bucket-list performer. I was surprised to see he was going to perform locally. It was a great show. He sang all of his standards. I would enjoy seeing him again.

  • Oh, what a night!

by LFDEB on 10/5/15Genesee Theatre - WaukeganRating: 5 out of 5

Once again, the show at Genesse thrilled us beyond belief! Not only is parking a breeze , the theater is beautiful and the shows always incredible! Steve Tyrell was no exception to the rule! He walked us through the old standards and the new ones, giving us personal stories and anecdotes....then sang songs to match the genre he was speaking about. The crowd loved him and we also loved the talented musicians who accompanied him. We are so lucky to have this gem in our own backyard!
