  • What a great show at a great venue!

by RandKM on 11/7/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Thank you Steve and Birchmere for a great date night! Hope to see you back next year!

  • Steve's live show was great. I enjoyed meeting.

    by Bd1153 on 11/6/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Steve's show was wonderful at the Birchmere in Arlington. Steve and his band sounded great. He even came out to meet and sign CDs at the end of his show. He's a great all around showman. I would go and see him again. Looking forward to the new CD this spring.

  • Great renditions of American Songbook

by Triquena on 11/4/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Steve was right on point. His Repertoire was a fabulous mix of songs from the American Songbook and later top artists. And his delivery was superb. Great rapport with the audience. This is a show I would definitely see again!

  • What a great showman! And a great band as well!

Steve Tyrell is just a classy guy - great stage presence, good story teller, very engaged with the audience - and a great crooner as well. He moved smoothly through some wonderful classic songs. My wife and I just loved the concert, and especially enjoyed meeting him afterward. He was headed to NY next week for a two month stint at the Carlyle. We might have to make a special trip up - he's worth it.

  • MICHAEL BOUBLE/ WITH MUSCLES

by RAYMOAN on 7/16/10Jazz Alley - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

real connection with audience i.e. a mention of quincy jones ( Q to him ) and jimmy hendrix which prompted a post show ( jazz alley - seattle ) conversation that quincy played for our high school in dances in 1950 at SHADY BEACH - north end of lake washington. also that I sold investment property to jimmy's dad - al - who told me that frank sinatra laid down $ 400,000 to launch his son's career! what a delightful talk with tryell about me with a 1 in a 100 chance of having a couple of exoeriences that dovetailed into his onstage sharing of a professional relationship with 2 of his favorite icons. this is a genuine guy whose show does not have one '' little tune by our drummer " you will know every song. this cat can CUT IT.

  • Tyrell is worth the money!

by Shewholovesmusic on 7/12/10Jazz Alley - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I have now seen Steve Tyrell play at Jazz Alley 4 times, and I will continue to go every time he comes. He is a great performer, bringing you in to the song with his eye contact and charming winks. At least he brings the ladies into the performance, anyway. He has such an incredible voice, and his stories between the songs make you feel like you are just in his living room, getting to know him. I would recommend this show to anyone and everyone. I have brought someone new with me to his show each time, and they all have people they now want to bring. I just wish he would come back in December for a Christmas show! (hint!hint!)

  • Perfection!

by Anonymous on 7/8/10Jazz Alley - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

A night we will never forget! Amazing music, talented musicians, and a voice that can't be matched. Steve would sprinkle little stories about the songs he was singing throughout the night, adding another reason to love these songs (and him!)

  • Steve Tyrell & Jazz Alley

by Wesley on 7/16/09Jazz Alley - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Was the first in line at Jazz Alley and ended up dead center front row. Steve Tyrell was personable and entertaining. Some artist don't sound the same live but Steve Tyrell sounded just like he does on his CD's. Sounded perfect ! The disappointing part was not hearing him sing any of the songs I love that he does.

  • Steve Tyrell and band was FANTASTIC!

by lamenicknamefield on 7/15/09Jazz Alley - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a fan of Steve Tyrell ever since the first time I heard him over 10yrs ago. We planned our vacation around this show just to be able see/hear him (driving from Portland and flying out of Seattle for our trip before), and he didn't disappoint! There aren't many times you can go to a show and walk away believing the artist sounds even better in person. He truly is one of the greats. We'd both go see him again in a heartbeat. Come to Portland, OR!!

  • STeve Tyrell at Jazz Alley

by ADONNA on 7/14/09Jazz Alley - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I discovered the wonderful talent of Steve Tyrell about 6 years ago. I purchased a couple of CD's then. About a year later I was able to see him in person, meet him and had a picture taken with him. Since then, I've been fortunate to see him in person two more times. He is a great talent and makes you want to get up a dance or remember your younger years. He keeps a smile on your face through out his performance.

  • Steve Tyrell will melt your heart!

by Shewholovesmusic on 7/13/09Jazz Alley - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Steve Tyrell is a fantastic singer and an even better performer. His voice pulls you into the music so you feel the song, you don't just listen. He obviously loves to perform and shares little antedotes about the songs, which makes it even more enjoyable. I have seen him three times at Jazz Alley...which is the perfect venue for his music. I look forward to more visits from him and will continue to buy tickets each and every time.

  • Steve Tyrell is amazing!!

by MTGIRL on 7/13/09Jazz Alley - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Steve put on a great performance. His voice on stage is the same as on the recording. He incorporated stories into his set, which made it even more entertaining. I will definitely go again next year!

  • Just as we expected he was great....

by Hark on 7/12/09Jazz Alley - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

His 5 piece band was excellent. His manner and delivery immpecable. He is so at home on the stage. During his smooth performance he wove in tales of 'back in the day', and all the great names and talents with which he has worked. If my girlfriend had not had an early flight Sunday, we would have stayed for the second show as well. It was like he was performing for you at home in your livingroom. Great event!
