About

STEVE EARLE IN CONCERT:

To hear country folk star Steve Earle live is to embark on an adventure through the musical heartland, hitting every stop along the way — from honky tonk and rockabilly to good old-fashioned Texas blues. His quirky but deeply emotional tunes are each a short story in and of themselves, carrying fans through the full gamut of emotions at his passionate live shows. On tour, he's a down-to-earth entertainer and he loves to please his fans with his hits.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

San Antonio-raised country singer Steve Earle left home as a teenager to literally follow in the footsteps of country legend Townes Van Zandt. He found a mentor in Van Zandt in Houston and spent the next few years bouncing between Texas and Nashville before releasing his now-classic debut Guitar Town. Personal struggles followed his career as his success grew, but he overcame them and prospered in their wake, releasing 13 studio albums and receiving three Grammys over the course of his career. He has become a sought after songwriter for movies and TV, and continues to take his act on the road with no signs of slowing down.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"The concert was so cool! So talented. Steve sang all of the songs we had been waiting for. And he kept coming back and singing more!"

"Steve Earle was great. His band, great as well. He played nearly three hours including all the songs I would expect to hear. It was great!"

"This was better than the Stones. You may find this hard to believe, but it is true. Steve Earle is totally amazing. His talent is not to be believed. I was enthralled from the first minute he walked onto the stage until the last minute."

Amazing evening listening at the Avalon Theater

    by Razinni on 7/18/23

The opening act Channing Wilson was a very nice setup for Steve Earle, you could tell by his original songs, his guitar playing and his words he was honored to opening for his Idol. Steve started exactly on time and stuck around for an encore after finishing his set with Copperhead Road. He was charming throughout the concert but didn't spend too much time on long introductions. Most of the crowd new his material well and although his voice on the higher notes was weak, he was easily forgiven. Steve played a great selection of songs interspersing new and olds tunes including a great version of Mr. Bojangles and a tribute to Jerry Jeff. Quote of the night "I'm a radical Mother F---er and my opinions are strong but if we don't start listening to each other Democracy is dead".

    Fantastic!

    by Joyoyoy on 7/17/23

Steve Earle put on an incredible show! He is an excellent performer. His music was great and he told some incredible stories that helped describe the songs that he sang. His heartfelt statements to the audience really hit home. I would go see him again! Warm up performer Channing Wilson was an unexpected surprise! I could have listened to him longer too. Nothing like live music!

It was a very enjoyable set. Started a little rough on the sound but didn't take long to iron out and it was great. Opening act held his own and was pretty good.

The Show was great, the Venue not so much

    by Scriba Critica on 7/11/23

The Good: The performances were stellar. Opening act Anders Parker didn't get nearly the attention he deserved, but still did his thing with aplomb. And Steve Earle... Well, he might not have played *all* of his hits, but he certainly came close. An hour and a half of one of the finest performers I've yet seen. Aside from a little feedback from the microphone at the beginning of his set, the sound was excellent all night. The Bad: The seats were sardine'd far too close together for comfort. No elbow room to speak of save in your immediate neighbors' stomachs. And the bar prices were ridiculous. $6 for a 12 oz. Lone Star? That's more than half a 6-pack of the stuff in the real world! But I suppose the Stock Yards isn't the real world anymore these days. It's Cowpoke Disneyland. I really hope they don't have any more good shows at Tannahill's, I don't want to go back. The Ugly: What I paid to get in in the first place. Absurd.

    5-star show, 2-star venue seating

    by Suz on 7/11/23

Steve Earle solo acoustic, was wonderful. Killer show. He is a force of nature. Unfortunately, Tannahill's had crammed the floor with folding chairs, metal-to-metal, tighter than airplane seats with not even a millimeter of room in-between. If you love literally rubbing elbows with strangers, this place is for you. Seems like they could sell a few less assigned seats and give those of us who paid good money for floor seats, a little room to breathe, maybe am inch between each chair? I'm glad this place exists to bring more good talent to Fort Worth, but they need a better seating arrangement.

Steve Earle is an American treasure.

    by Steve on 7/11/23

Earle rocked. 6th time I have seen him and he gets better with age. Dony know why loudmouth drunks come to a show and try to talk over the music.

    Great Show

    by WillTXM3 on 7/11/23

Steve put on a great live solo show. He's always entertaining and engaging. The venue is great, it's nice to have a small concert venue in a good location in FTW. The staff were helpful and the facility is very clean. There are too many chairs packed into the floor space though, it's very hard for people to get up and down and move around during the show. The venue would benefit greatly from a little more spacing between chairs.

    no self control

by Battle Sword on 8/12/22Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Was unable to enjoy this show because of the abundance of drunken/ high gang members . Maybe they shouldn't serve booze outside the venue at the doors before the show especially in an area that is riddled with substance abuse issues.

Show was ok, Steve needs to leave his views on political issues on the buss. Also, clean up the language.

    Bring a jacket!

by BoilerTim on 6/6/22Brown County Music Center - Nashville

We saw Steve Earle at the Brown County Music Center. Very nice, new facility. Volunteers were very friendly and helpful. Sound quality good. Two issues. It was cold in the facility (85 degrees outside). My wife borrowed a tshirt from another attendee. Also, before the performace started, they turned down the house lights and it went instantly from fully lit to pitch dark, which caught many fumbling for their seats. Would be nice if they could turn the light down gradually so folks could find their way as the performance starts.
