STEVE EARLE IN CONCERT:
To hear country folk star Steve Earle live is to embark on an adventure through the musical heartland, hitting every stop along the way — from honky tonk and rockabilly to good old-fashioned Texas blues. His quirky but deeply emotional tunes are each a short story in and of themselves, carrying fans through the full gamut of emotions at his passionate live shows. On tour, he's a down-to-earth entertainer and he loves to please his fans with his hits.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
San Antonio-raised country singer Steve Earle left home as a teenager to literally follow in the footsteps of country legend Townes Van Zandt. He found a mentor in Van Zandt in Houston and spent the next few years bouncing between Texas and Nashville before releasing his now-classic debut Guitar Town. Personal struggles followed his career as his success grew, but he overcame them and prospered in their wake, releasing 13 studio albums and receiving three Grammys over the course of his career. He has become a sought after songwriter for movies and TV, and continues to take his act on the road with no signs of slowing down.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"The concert was so cool! So talented. Steve sang all of the songs we had been waiting for. And he kept coming back and singing more!"
"Steve Earle was great. His band, great as well. He played nearly three hours including all the songs I would expect to hear. It was great!"
"This was better than the Stones. You may find this hard to believe, but it is true. Steve Earle is totally amazing. His talent is not to be believed. I was enthralled from the first minute he walked onto the stage until the last minute."

Steve Earle was a great show. His talent and brilliance was so enjoyable. Never miss a chance to see him
Nice intimate setting at the Ludlow made the experience even better. Steve went through a good sampling of his work. The nice part was his explanation of how the songs came together. Highly recommend seeing him solo!!
Steve Earle was in good form and we enjoyed Anders Parker, the opening act. It was a seated show, first one I've been at for this venue. The chairs were very uncomfortable. Would have much preferred standing to those seats. Older crowd, maybe they thought chairs were necessary. But you can do better.
I loved it. He did his whole career chronologically, solo. Good mix of stories and songs
I’ve been a fan of Steve Earle for 30 years What great show and his sister Stacey opening for him was a bonus she is wonderful The Paramount is the perfect music venue I hope they continue finding these amazing artists to preform there :)
Admittedly, I’m a Steve fan, so may be slightly biased, but he put on a great show. Most of my faves, but he only played for two hours solid, so he couldn’t get to all of ‘em! His sister Stacey opened and she was great as well…sang a duet with him. He (they) came out to the lobby afterwards to chat, do photos, sign merch, etc with the attendees. The venue (Paramount Theatre in Anderson Indiana) is nicely done. Could use some closer hotels, but we had great seats and was all in all a great evening!
A family affair that did not disappoint. Stacey’s voice and guitar playing was impressive given her 10 year absence from touring as she was a caregiver to her Mother as her health declined. Steve’s stories and songs were fresh and energized spanning his 50 years in song. His sharing of his recovery from addiction was special. Great show. Great seats.
It was great to take an acoustic journey through Steve Earle's entire career. So much more interesting than a regular concert. Small venue, intimate show and 2 1/2 hours of incredible music. What could be better?
The show was fantastic with Earle stepping through his career regaling the enthusiastic crowd with stories ranging from hilarious to heartbreaking. I loved every bit of his performance. Unfortunately I was sitting in what I had thought were great seats only to find out that we were so close that we sat underneath the house speakers. The sound was muddy and sometimes it was difficult understand what was being said or sang, especially with the opening act.
Been a fan since the 80’s. Great job mixing stories with some of his greatest tunes. Birchmere was OK. Arrived around 7 sat up front on the side
He was great as usual. The storytelling adds to the experience.
I’ve probably heard Steve perform a dozen times. But I’ve never heard him sound better. Both his vocals and guitar playing were first rate. He’s an American treasure.
The Birchmere is the ideal venue for Steve Earle's solo show, which was a retrospective of a pretty amazing career. He was loose and funny and sounded great. His opening act, Zandi Holup, is a songwriting talent to watch.
Steve Earle is a fantastic performer and put on a great show. Venue food is not great quality.
Loved Steve Earle with his band the Dukes but to be honest Steve is even better as a solo artist. His life story and breadth of work can be heard and felt in a powerful focused show. I will go see Steve any and everytime he comes our way. Truly a Legend
Good seats in the balcony, front row, but had to lean forward, over the edge, to hear. Only two speakers, on either side of the stage, nothing mounted at the top. Otherwise, great show, truly covering the 50 years (!) of his career. Opening act was okay, except for her not having the right vocal range for her duet with Steve. This sounds like a negative review, but once *we* made the necessary adjustments to hear clearly (sorry, Sound Guys, shoulda sound-checked upstairs), Steve Earle delivered a memorable show. Attucks Theater is nice, smaller, venue with an intimate feel. Would go there again if the sound was right.
Steve had an excellent performance at greenfield last Saturday. He guitar work was tight, vocals strong, stories illuminating and song selection excellent. One of the better concerts I've attended. Excellent female vocalist warmed up.
I had seen Steve several years ago in Bar Harbor, ME with his band. I enjoyed this solo show much more. What a song writer and musician! Great crown rapport and entertaining story teller. I would see him again.
Steve Earle with opening act Zandi Holup was great! Luckily the rain stopped and a great night of music was had by all!
