STEVE EARLE IN CONCERT:
To hear country folk star Steve Earle live is to embark on an adventure through the musical heartland, hitting every stop along the way — from honky tonk and rockabilly to good old-fashioned Texas blues. His quirky but deeply emotional tunes are each a short story in and of themselves, carrying fans through the full gamut of emotions at his passionate live shows. On tour, he's a down-to-earth entertainer and he loves to please his fans with his hits.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
San Antonio-raised country singer Steve Earle left home as a teenager to literally follow in the footsteps of country legend Townes Van Zandt. He found a mentor in Van Zandt in Houston and spent the next few years bouncing between Texas and Nashville before releasing his now-classic debut Guitar Town. Personal struggles followed his career as his success grew, but he overcame them and prospered in their wake, releasing 13 studio albums and receiving three Grammys over the course of his career. He has become a sought after songwriter for movies and TV, and continues to take his act on the road with no signs of slowing down.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"The concert was so cool! So talented. Steve sang all of the songs we had been waiting for. And he kept coming back and singing more!"
"Steve Earle was great. His band, great as well. He played nearly three hours including all the songs I would expect to hear. It was great!"
"This was better than the Stones. You may find this hard to believe, but it is true. Steve Earle is totally amazing. His talent is not to be believed. I was enthralled from the first minute he walked onto the stage until the last minute."

This show was an experience rarely seen. A heartfelt retrospective of huge and beautiful songbook! What more could I want!
The performance sounded excellent. Unfortunately, I couldn't see much of the performers because the single mic was obstructed by a pole.
To say Steve Earle is a true legend, is not giving him enough credit. For everything he has been through, and all that he has lost. He still shares his heart with us. We love the concert on Friday night and then saw him again on Sunday at the Rhythm and Roots festival in Rhode Island. And listening to his stories again, I learned even more about what makes this man a legend.
Steve is a great performer and a master at his craft. It’s always impressive to see him live.
Steve Earle’s latest concert was a great overview of his entire career, as billed, with plenty of stories that gave the back story of his life. He played representative songs from all the periods, so there was something for everyone. The crowd seemed to know his catalog and reacted to old favorites. Like any show at a casino, there were members of the audience who were more interested in getting multiple drinks than being respectful but at least they weren’t yelling out song titles or being disruptive.
I bought tickets early to get front row balcony. When we arrived no one could tell us how to get to the mezzanine. Not even the security guard. Lord help us if there was a second story shooting, right? we found our own way upstairs, and when we arrived at our table, the seats were not numbered. There were other people sitting in the front seats that I reserved. I asked the bartender how we were supposed to know which seats were ours. She said she had no idea, but she would call someone. The someone told us she had no idea either. I explained that I had selected the front row, but I would like to know if the seats were actually assigned before asking people to move. She had to go ask someone. When she returned, she confirmed the front seats were ours, but did not offer to help us. Tell the people sitting there that they needed to move. She simply told us we could pull our chairs up to the rail. We did so and it was fine, but in the future, I think they need to have their seats numbered. The artist came out and kept complaining that he was hearing an echo like when you’re on a bad cell phone connection. This could be a really great venue if they’d simply get their stuff together.
Just go see him, you won't be disappointed! At our show, he did a nice retrospective of his body of work, in autobiographical order. He played four different stringed instruments throughout the night, and told stories about each song.
2+ hours on his feet and he played all but one of his songs I love. I was more than surprised and awed by his performance
The sound was very muffled and not great, couldnt make out the words to the opening bands music. I dont think the venue has good accoustics. Could see well though. Steve only played an hour...overall disappointing.
