  • Stars shine on ice

Some of my favorite skaters performing to wonderful music made for a great experience at the Giant Center in Hershey for the final show of the 2023 US tour. Kurt Browning was emotional as he prepares to retire from his long career as a professional skater. Jason Brown was energetic and engaging and beautifully balletic. Nathan Chen displayed his incredible athleticism. Chock and Bates delighted, and the newcomers, Isobeau Levito and Ilia Malinin, showed why they are current champions who we hope will be around for a long while.

They gave a show that was out of this world. Can’t wait for next year.

I’ve always loved figure skating ⛸️, since I was a kid 👧🏼. They always have the best shows and costumes ever. They need to have more shows in FL and NJ. I’ll keep coming back for more.

I attended the "Stars on Ice" tour last year, and was completely blown away with the performances. I almost didn't go this year, until I saw Kurt Browning was one of the skaters. I've never seen him skake in person, and I knew he was retiring from the professional circuit. This year's show did not disappoint. From start to finish, the skaters showed style, elegance, grace, and some humor in their routines. We've seen them all perform on television, but there is nothing more thrilling than to see them in person to truly appreciate the talent they bring to the show. For me, I had an additional thrill in being part of the "Meet & Greet". This provided me with the opportunity to share with the skaters the things I remember most about their past performances or their performance that day. Sharing with Jason Brown that the first time I saw him perform "Riverdance", he stole my heart; with Satoko Miyahara how impressed I was with the grace and elegance she brings to the ice; commenting to Alissa Czisny how entertaining it must be living with Kurt Browning; telling Nathan Chen that in my opinion, he is truly the GOAT of figure skating; sharing with Loena Hendrickx how much I enjoyed traveling through her beautiful country of Belgium; asking Madison and Evan if they set a wedding date, only to be followed up by the humor of Alexa Knierim wondering if she would get an invitation to the wedding. I could go on with the memories I made just with the "Meet and Greet". The show is done with such a level of professionalism, as well as a variety of musical scores. Well done, "Stars on Ice" and IMG.

  • I loved every moment of this show.

Stars on Ice is the best. My husband and myself enjoyed every minute. So amazing!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

    by mra305 on 6/7/23GIANT Center - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

This production was as phenomenal as SOI shows I have attended in the past. Loved the music and costumes and little tributes to Kurt Browning’s departure from performing in it. You could tell the skaters were having fun out there, and that made it even more joyful to watch! Can’t wait to attend again on the next tour!

  • The show was fabulous, The bag issue was ridiculous

    by kathykat5 on 6/7/23GIANT Center - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great as usual. We go every year. I do agree with the pocketbook and bag restrictions, however, we purchased a very small, clear crossbody bag that they allowed us to take into the Philly stadium. Obviously, there was no gun in there. we were off by maybe 1/2".

  • All I can say is wow' what a show

by Deak on 6/7/23GIANT Center - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of my favorite shows of all time. Great performers, great choreography, great skaters but they should of gave more recognition to the Belgium skater Loena Hendrickx. Her name wasn't mention hardly anywhere. I gave the show a 10, very entertaining.

  • Amazing!

by Debi on 6/7/23GIANT Center - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

I see Stars on Ice every year and this year’s show didn’t disappoint. It was Kurt Browning’s final show with SOI, so I wouldn’t miss it for anything. So fun, awesome talent!!

  • Great Time!

Great time at this event. Many cool figure skaters and ice dancers. Would recommend!

  • The show was great just one complaint

by Kiki on 6/7/23Agganis Arena - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

The show itself was great. The skaters were amazing. Not that many jumps but I understand it's been a long season. My ONLY real complaint is how dark it was. There is no way that was safe for the skaters. Two of them had hard falls on jumps that could have been prevented if the lights were on. I came to see Miyahara Satako who was the highlight of the show for me. The lines for merch were way too long so I missed out on buying a program.

  • Meh

by LilMe on 6/6/23Agganis Arena - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

I love watching ice skating and i respect and value the talent of the performers. However i find the show a little boring because it is always the same format. It also seems like some skaters are “phoning in “ their numbers while others are fully committed to entertaining. Maybe try something different!

  • Good show

by Flo on 6/6/23Agganis Arena - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Glad to see the champions. Too bad the ice looked soft and unneccasary falls.

  • Stars on Ice returns to the DMV

    by A. H. on 6/6/23CFG Bank Arena - BaltimoreRating: 4 out of 5

It has been a long time since SOI performed in the DMV. Was offended with the promotion of the Hope Adoption Agency which was not mentioned in ANY of the SOI promotional material. At first I thought "how can we give if this is a cashless venue?" We were a captured audience. The Meet and Greet could have been more comfortable with ONLY ONE table as a barrier between a skater and a fan. This 79 year old fan uses a walker and it was difficult to lean in to get a photo with a skater. SOI said that each fan can have one photo and one signed item. I just wanted a photo with the skaters. It was difficult.

  • Stars on Ice is an amazing show!

by Gayle on 6/6/23Agganis Arena - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second year in a row seeing Stars on Ice and it did NOT disappoint. The figure skating is top-notch athleticism and artistry set to a variety of music genres. The excitement is palpable watching these amazing figure skaters perform their craft. The venue provides a good view for all ticket holders. I enjoy it so much that I hope to go again next year!

  • This was the best "Stars on Ice" show we have ever seen.

by Anne and Tom on 6/6/23Agganis Arena - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

We've seen a lot of "Stars on Ice" shows over the years, and this was the best one yet. Everything was spot on: the cast of Olympic, World, and National champions was first-rate; the choreography was wonderful, both the individual and group numbers; the costumes and music were great. Loved the "synchronized skating" of the group ensembles. We especially appreciated the fact that the skaters' routines weren't "watered down" a lot. We noticed that Madison Chock and Evan Bates did twizzles! They didn't have to.

  • Great time and highly enjoyable!

    by A. M. on 6/6/23CFG Bank Arena - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

Wasn't sure what to expect exactly since I had never been to a show like this before but we loved it and found it to be a blast and very entertaining. would love to go back!

  • Stars On Ice Not What I Remembered

    by CAB63 on 6/6/23Agganis Arena - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

Let me start with the performers were phenomenal ! I have not been to a Stars on Ice performance since pre Covid and I was surprised to see that the format of the show had not changed. Opening number with all skaters followed by each pair and individual performing a single routine then group number at end of first half and same pattern for second half. Prior to intermission did not appreciate being brow beaten regarding sponsoring children from another country for ten minutes then being told there will be a 20 minute intermission. Too long. In regards to the venue, did not like the fact that you couldn't enter venue until 6:30pm. It was cold and raining outside. Fortunately for us we got in before they locked the doors so a dozen or so people got to wait inside entry way. Staff at venue was not informed. When asked where the merchandise tables and programs were the two people I asked said there wasn't any. When I found it, was surprised that there was only one table and it was mobbed. Waited half hour to get merchandise. Also not a good location, right at top of stairs where everyone was entering. I know probably no way to control this, but numerous people in our section were late coming to the event and numerous people up and down whole time. It was very distracting and we couldn't see due to their comings and goings. Maybe venue could do something like they do in theaters when you go to see a play, once the show starts you need to wait for a break in performance to find your seats. And maybe they could make an announcement at the beginning of the show for people to be mindful of leaving their and be considerate of other patrons. But again the skaters were amazing and that is what we went to see ! Just disappointed in the "experience" so to speak.

  • Always a fun time

by Cooperdarcy on 6/6/23Agganis Arena - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

This year it seems like the solo skaters are doing fewer jumps overall (especially the women skaters). It is still a great program with artistic elements. Pairs skaters are awesome! Group numbers are great as well.
