  • It was just OK

    by Ehh…. on 4/9/25Saenger Theater Hattiesburg - HattiesburgRating: 3 out of 5

The performance was good, however I was disappointed that there was not one song from the Wizard Of OZ! Not even Over the Rainbow”! Having some of the original music would have made a difference. It was a bit too young for an adult audience.

  • Wizard of Oz

What an awesome night for my granddaughter and I. She has been a Wizard of Oz fan for many years. She had a Wizard of Oz themed birthday when she was very young. It was our first time at the Opera House but will not be our last. The musical and skating made for a. wonderful time

  • Entertaining

If you are looking for authentic Wiz, this isn’t it. It’s entertaining but no songs or major icons like ruby slippers

  • Not At All What We Expected

by May on 3/27/25Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

Though the cast had great energy, it was not the show that my family expected. They did not have the rights to the Wizard of Oz score, so do not expect to hear "Some Where Over the Rainbow"or any of the other original songs. It was more of a telling of the Wizard of Oz, on a tiny ice stage (seriously, we were waiting for them to open the curtains but it was just the small stage), certainly not like the Ice Capades or Disney on Ice. More like dancing on ice with some cool neon flags, little juggling, hula hoops, techno like music, circus like show, which could still be fun, but not what we thought we were going to. They did have great energy & our favorite part was the Flying Monkeys & the Wicked Witch (they don't fly, but costumes were great).

  • Show was good!

Don’t get me wrong the show overall it was a great show. However, if you to go you need to have an open mind because its nothing like the original Wizard of Oz on ice nor is it like the movie.

  • Oz on ice

by Deb on 3/25/25Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

The show was cute but definitely geared more towards children. Stage was small and lighting dark. The performers did a great job using the stage to perform the show and get the message across. Beautiful costumes representing the characters.

  • Amazing

by Big Kid on 3/25/25Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! We loved the show and production! The skating and choreography was very professional, the stage lighting and special effects were dazzling and it was kept true to the original story. Loved the “scary” flying monkeys! And the Great Wizard of OZ was fantastic. Even my skeptical “ doesn’t like anything” husband raved about it and is telling others! A must see!

  • Not what I expected

by Elle on 3/25/25Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

I was very disappointed that there wasn't more "Wizard of Oz"related music. The skaters were great and most of the costumes were amazing. The masks on the "munchkins"were scary looking. The image portrayed in the advertisement showed a larger skating area which really limited props and the skaters to perform. I missed hearing the song 'Follow the Yellow Brick Road'. My 6 yr old and 8 yr old granddaughters enjoyed the performance, and that's what was important for our family day.
