Great show and nice family event. Just a little bit slow
The skaters were very entertaining, very talented. I enjoyed their performance from beginning to end of the show. It was worth attending.
For starters, it was great to have Stars on Ice return after covid hiatus. The show was fantastic. The music selection was top notch and the stars interpitation of it was on point. Loved Kurt and Elvis. Always my favorite.
Very nice show, good experience might watch again in the future
Always good but seemed like not as dynamic as in the past… music sometimes boring
Wonderful show. Only disappointing part was the ticket prices were in U.S. funds and cost a lot more than we had anticipated...nearly 2x the amount originally quoted on-line.
I’ve been to many Stars On Ice shows over the years but this one left me disappointed. I think it may be time to revamp the format with current champions doing the big jumps to upbeat, crowd pleasing music. Elladj Balde really got the crowd going and was very entertaining. The music and choreography need a lot of updating. Too many slow, unknown songs that just dragged the show down.
We go to Stars On Ice every year and this one was just incredible. Great cast, music and choreography.
Excellent show really enjoyed it excellent cast even all the extras
The show was fantastic. It was run smoothly from entrance to exit all food vendors were open and ready to serve. The show did not disappoint so many amazing moves good music for the most part. Second half was a bit sleepy until the Elton John skit. That was fantastic!!!! Good work SOI!
While I enjoyed the show I found previous ones to be better. I like when they show a lot of personality and/or technicality. Maybe due to covid I found this show had skaters being very conservative and other than the last number, on the whole, very reserved.
I was very excited for this show, however it didn’t quite deliver. The lighting on the ice was too dark to enjoy some performances. There were 2 screens set up at ice level that where too small to read. This made it difficult to know who was skating. These screens did not project the performance; they were there with skaters names and some photos. There was an audio system announcing skaters but the evening felt like it was pasted together. There was a 20 minute intermission but at that point I just wanted the show to end.
Was a great show! Lots of variety in the performances, so never got boring. Great group themed performances. Browning and Stojko were amazing as usual. My concerns have been that I hadn't seen anyone who could step in to provide the electricity their performances provide. The answer was in the show, Elladg Balde showed so much proficiency, energy and connection to the audience !
Stars on Ice was awesome! Great music and lighting. You can tell the Stars train hard all year long to put on these amazing shows. I'm not a fan of figure skating usually as I find it a little slow at times. I won ticket's for a free night out and it turned out to be the best night ever! Even my boyfriend that's hard to impress face lit up when the stars were doing back flips on the ice. He was so impressed. Star's on Ice was entertaining from the minute they came out opening with AC/DC Thunderstruck until the end. I personally enjoy the upbeat songs they skate to rather than the slower music. I'll be going every year now since I enjoyed it so much and I'll even try to get VIP so I can sit in the front row. Get your ticket's you will not regret it!
This is a very nice performance show but the screen they used as an additional visual resource was way too small, why didn't they use the original big screens from the Scotiabank Arena? that was the only drawback, the skaters, the music, the show as a whole was very good.
The venue was perfect. The event was fantastic! Colourful, exciting and artistic! What a show! It's worth every penny!
Hello, I am a 63 yr old woman who loves figure skating, competition and ice shows (and Battle of the Blades!!!). I thought the show was just "good", not excellent, so I have to say overall I was disappointed. A few things stand out. The actual skating was very good, but the way each skater bowed to the 4 sides of the audience for applause after EVERY piece was a bit much. In fact it was completely unnecessary. All it did was add time to the show. As well, the music was very drab. Other than the last group piece of Elton John's medley of songs, which was fantastic. There were children in the audience who must have been bored to tears with the music. They definitely could have made it more fun and dressed up to themes and more group dances perhaps. Thanks.
Great seeing Elvis and Kurt, their magic never dies.
They opened the show with Thunderstruck by AC/DC which got the crowd in the mood. I liked that they brought in different genres in music and heritage background. They ended the show to Elton John’s music. All the skaters put together an amazing show. See you all next year.
Absolutely terrific! My mother in law has always wanted to go and the show did not disappoint.
