St. Louis Blues History

Named for the famous W.C. Handy song "Saint Louis Blues," the Blues is one of the most storied franchises in the NHL. They entered the league in 1967 as one of the Original Six, making the Stanley Cup Finals in each of their first three seasons. They reached the Playoffs in 25 consecutive seasons from 1980 to 2005, including in 1999-2000, when right wing Pavol Demitra and defensemen Al MacInnis led the way to a league-best 114 points, only to be upset by the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the Playoffs.

Recent history has provided its share of fireworks. Most memorable: Troy Brouwer's deciding goal in Game 7 of the 2016 Western Conference quarterfinals against the rival Blackhawks, which sent the Blues to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in 15 years.

In 2018-2019, the Blues went on an impressive Playoff run to meet the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Final, where St. Louis won in seven games for the team's first Cup in franchise history.

St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center

Enterprise Center is located in the heart of downtown St. Louis. The 12-story glass and concrete structure officially opened its doors on October 8, 1994, and has been the home ice for the Blues ever since. In 2018, the venue underwent renovations, including additions to the food and beverage options, new gathering spaces for fans to enjoy during pregame, intermissions and postgame, and a better shopping experience for fans to take home all their new Blues gear. Enterprise Center is located on the former site of Kiel Auditorium, which was built in 1932 as a municipal auditorium for the citizens of St. Louis.

Gotta love the Blues and their fans.

by fmjcafe on 9/21/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

My daughter and I had a great time at Fanfest and the Blues vs. Dallas game afterwards. She's a teenager and as most parents know teens aren't the most communicative people around but whenever we make it to a game it always brings us together. Watching the Blues together the normal teen daughter vs. dad stuff melts away like so much snow scraped up by a Zamboni. She's a big fan and understands the game. The fans sitting around us were the best. Everyone was having fun and more than eager to talk to the strangers sitting around them about our favorite subject, the Blues!

    Terrific Blues game!

by HeatherSTL on 9/21/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Had a blast at the latest preseason Blues game. Seats were incredible. Although concession prices have gone up AGAIN, they added a new Souvenir soda that comes with free refills. Although my home team lost, we definitely won the many fights during the game! They really put on a show and it was a close game until the end.

    Fanfest-lives up to it's name

by DKoch0608 on 9/21/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Ultimately it was a great time, watching practice from the glass before the game, getting pictures and autographs from the players. Only complaints are long lines which you expect, and not playing more better players, granted it was a preseason game, but it's fanfest, give the fans what they really want, to see their favorite players play hockey!

    blues fan fest

by tannerncooper on 9/21/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

We had a geat time ! The only thing I would change is posting who is signing or who is available for pictures. Because if you stand in line for an hour the person you want to see isn't going to be there it's to late to switch lines.

    Good Game Bad Ending

by BldzBlu on 9/21/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

The Blue's game Saturday was exciting with a bad ending. Lots of emotion... it was amazing to see so many fights and confrontations in a preseason game. One person that I notice was conspicuous by his absence was Oshie. Also would like to see Bell pick up his game. He seemed to be giving up the puck a lot and didn't play with enough effort.

    St. Louis Blues FanFest

by HockeyFightFan on 9/20/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

This Years FanFest was not as good as last years. Overall, it was a good time, my 4 yr old loved meeting Louie and getting a Blues Tattoo on her cheek, but for the adults, it was almost like going to a practice. Last year there was a scrimage, and a lot of other things going on, where it seemed like more. With about a 20 minute practice this year, it just wasn't the same. I know this year included a ticket to the game, but with a 4hr time period between when FanFest Started and the Game started, it would have almost been better to get there about 6pm, and go from there.

    Blues

by rmegar on 9/20/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

I thought the overall event was good. I think that there was more people that showed up for autographs than was expected. Lines were way to long for autographs. But we enjoyed the game even though the Blues lost We are looking to a great year for Blues Hockey LETS GO BLUES

    Incomplete passing of puck

by wvabluesfan on 9/20/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Blues need to practice better puck control. They were outplayed by Dallas in this practice game. However I support the Blues and love to watch them.

    Fan Fest??

by Stu74 on 9/20/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

This was an unorganized mess!! They said the lines for autographs would start 30 minutes prior!! Yet, you couldn't get anywhere close to the table 45 minutes prior..you couldn't even get down the halls. They only had L and XL adult t-shirts..but most things were geared toward smaller kids, that couldn't get shirts. But the game was good. LETS GO BLUES!!!

    Fanfest was a mess

by janilynn on 9/20/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Arrived at Fanfest at 4:15. By then it was reduced to a series of lines to get autographs that didnt even start when the website said they would! What a disappointment! Was excited about a donation to Club 14 and the table for that was gone too! They lost out on my 20 bucks for sure. The game was typical Blues couldnt catch a pass. But they are my team and I will stick with them.
