St. Louis Blues History

Named for the famous W.C. Handy song "Saint Louis Blues," the Blues is one of the most storied franchises in the NHL. They entered the league in 1967 as one of the Original Six, making the Stanley Cup Finals in each of their first three seasons. They reached the Playoffs in 25 consecutive seasons from 1980 to 2005, including in 1999-2000, when right wing Pavol Demitra and defensemen Al MacInnis led the way to a league-best 114 points, only to be upset by the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the Playoffs.

Recent history has provided its share of fireworks. Most memorable: Troy Brouwer's deciding goal in Game 7 of the 2016 Western Conference quarterfinals against the rival Blackhawks, which sent the Blues to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in 15 years.

In 2018-2019, the Blues went on an impressive Playoff run to meet the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Final, where St. Louis won in seven games for the team's first Cup in franchise history.

St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center

Enterprise Center is located in the heart of downtown St. Louis. The 12-story glass and concrete structure officially opened its doors on October 8, 1994, and has been the home ice for the Blues ever since. In 2018, the venue underwent renovations, including additions to the food and beverage options, new gathering spaces for fans to enjoy during pregame, intermissions and postgame, and a better shopping experience for fans to take home all their new Blues gear. Enterprise Center is located on the former site of Kiel Auditorium, which was built in 1932 as a municipal auditorium for the citizens of St. Louis.

    FanFest

by BLUZGAL on 9/20/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

I enjoyed the FanFest. First time I went to a preseason game. The additional things for the kids to do was a great idea. Something for all ages. The lines for the autographs were really long. Only able to go through two lines in the two hours. But got 6 autographs. The only suggestion would be to have more food stations open during fanfest prior to game.

    FanFest 09-10

by HAZedOUS on 9/20/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

So much to do, so much to see, for a limited time only. Autograph lines sprinkled throughout the concourse along with a multitude of activities for kids of all ages. Being that this year's event took place on a game day, there just wasn't enough time to do evrything and see everyone. season ticket holder Q & A, held during practice. Locate and stand in the Photograph line, turned out to be Erik Johnson and TJ Oshie, then on to the "Dinner w/TJ Oshie" line and off we go to the suites. There would not have been sufficient time to see more than maybe one other autograph line. Had a great day, TJ was awesome and the Blues staff were gracious and helpful.

    The Blues are back!

by hockeyfan5 on 9/20/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Although the outcome could have been better, it was great to be at Scottrade last night. Mason was a little leaky, and our pp was horrible, but the penalty kill was awesome and there were some great fights! Go Blues!!

    Blues had attitude

by KenFI on 9/19/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Strong attitude from the Blues in a practice game and Avalanche did not have a chance. Tkachuck-Kariya gave glimpses of great passing and scoring and there is more to come as season gets going.

    Blues spanked the Avs.

by LadyAvsFan on 9/19/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

It was a great night even though the Avs lost. The folks that work at the Scottrade Center were all very friendly as were the Blues fans. It's a bit pricey to eat and drink inside, $10.00 footlong hotdogs, but these venues are everywhere. We will definitely go again, the Blues are a great team.
